China Joe To Ask Everyone To Wear A Mask For 100 Days

Sure, sure, not every state has a mask mandate, but, for the most part, most of the U.S. does. 34 states, D.C, and Puerto Rico. And we’ve essentially had them since before the Centers for Disease Control updated their guidance on May 31 to say that everyone should wear a mask, even though they really have little chance to stop a virus. And that cases are spiking around the 1st and 2nd worlds where people are required to wear masks. But, Joe probably has a deal for a family member for masks, possibly imported from China

Biden to call for 100 days of masks after inauguration

President-elect Joe Biden said during an interview Thursday that he plans to ask the American public to wear masks for 100 days, starting the day he is inaugurated, in order to drive down the number of coronavirus cases.

Biden, during an interview with CNN, said he will ask Americans to mask up, but only for a limited period.

“The first day I’m inaugurated I’m going to ask the public for 100 days to mask,” Biden said. “Just 100, not forever — 100 days.”

“I think we’ll see a significant reduction that occurs with vaccinations and masking to drive down the numbers considerably.”

We haven’t seen a significant reduction since the mask mandates. In fact, COVID continued to go up even with masks. Those with and without mandates have much different responses till about October, when cases started to really spike. Why? That is the real question that no one is answering, or even asking. It can’t be the onset of Fall, because Arizona and Florida did not see big drops in temperatures. (the NY Times has a good interactive page). California, with all its hardcore mandates, has a huge upswing, as does NJ and New York. So, how effective are masks?

I’m looking for more brilliant ideas from the China Joe administration and other Democrats

Covid is now killing more people every day than died on 9/11 from the terror attack
Is Covid worse than the 9/11 attacks ??
Trump did a piss poor job on this
Countries like Vietnam and South Korea currently are having few cases and even fewer deaths
Should we have expected our own country to have done at least as well as those countries ??

    • Est1950 says:

And Biden’s plan Hairy is wear face masks for 100 days.

Now that is a brilliant strategy. Fortunately Trump got three vaccines to market in 10 months while Biden slept in his basement and the democrats spent 6 months planing carefully how to steal the election.

    • Professor Hale says:

Do you really not understand the difference between a seasonal flu and a terrorist attack? Are you really so ignorant that you don’t know 30-60K Americans die from the Flu every year?

      What did Trump do?
      1. Halted flights from China when the rest of the world was welcoming travelers from infected places.
      2. Started Operation Warp Speed to discover and mass produce vaccines in the shortest possible time.
      3. Used the defense production act to increase the production of ventilators and PPE and used the military to distribute them.
      4. Daily information briefs for 6 months.
      5. Set up COVID task force run by the VP and staffed with the brightest doctors in the country.
      6. Deployed military hospitals and staffs to hard hit areas to assist local health professionals.

Seriously. What more could ANY president have done? You think Joe Biden would have cut red tape, fast tracked vaccine development, or used the DPA to produce larger quantities?

  3. Dana says:

Joe Biden has the same freedom of speech rights as anybody else, and it is perfectly within his rights to ask everyone to comply. The problem arises if he tries to order everyone to comply.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Normally, Presidents haven’t the power to force everyone to comply with an order.

      • Professor Hale says:

Nor should they. A country of 330 million people (counting foreign people who live here) does not need a system of government where all the power rests in one man’s hands.

      • Dana says:

Senators Edward Markey (D-MA) and Richard ‘Stolen Valor’ Blumenthal (D-CN) have announced national face mask mandate legislation.

Of course, the federal government doesn’t really have that power, but their legislation would make federal money to the states contingent upon the states enacting mandatory face mask orders.

I went to Kroger for a few things this afternoon, and I saw exactly one person not wearing a mask. Reichsstatthalter Andy Beshear (NSDAP-KY) has had a mandatory mask order in effect since June, he’s once again shut down indoor dining in restaurants, closed the schools to in=person classes — though, oddly enough, he’s allowing the state high school football playoffs to continue — he’s thrown thousands and thousands of people out of work and caused hundreds and hundreds of small businesses to fail, yet every day he gets on television and announces how things are getting worse. With all of his actions, with all of the people whose lives he has ruined, things are getting worse. Why, it’s almost as though what he has done hasn’t worked!

Fortunately, the GOP won veto-proof margins in the General Assembly in the election, and the Republican leaders of both chambers have stated that they are going to greatly reduce the Governor’s ’emergency powers.’ It’s just too bad that we have to wait until the end of January for that to happen.

Trump and his disciples want tyranny. Demagoguery leads to tyranny. If you don’t think trump is considering extreme measures for staying in power, you don’t think.

    More quotes from Aristotle…

“The real difference between democracy and oligarchy is poverty and wealth. Wherever men rule by reason of their wealth, whether they be few or many, that is an oligarchy, and where the poor rule, that is a democracy.”

“In a democracy the poor will have more power than the rich, because there are more of them, and the will of the majority is supreme.”

“Democracy is when the indigent, and not the men of property, are the rulers.”

“No democracy can exist unless each of its citizens is as capable of outrage at injustice to another as he is of outrage at unjustice to himself.”

“A democracy exists whenever those who are free and are not well-off, being in the majority, are in sovereign control of government, an oligarchy when control lies with the rich and better-born, these being few.”

“Where some people are very wealthy and others have nothing, the result will be either extreme democracy or absolute oligarchy, or despotism will come from either of those excesses.”

“If liberty and equality, as is thought by some, are chiefly to be found in democracy, they will be best attained when all persons alike share in government to the utmost.”

“Money originated with royalty and slavery, it has nothing to do with democracy or the struggle of the empoverished enslaved majority.”

“Every man should be responsible to others, nor should anyone be allowed to do just as he pleases; for where absolute freedom is allowed there is nothing to restrain the evil which is inherent in every man. But the principle of responsibility secures that which is the greatest good in states; the right persons rule and are prevented from doing wrong, and the people have their due. It is evident that this is the best kind of democracy, and why? because the people are drawn from a certain class.”

“Of governments there are said to be only two forms – democracy and oligarchy. For aristocracy is considered to be a kind of oligarchy, as being the rule of a few, and the so-called constitutional government to be really a democracy.”

“The perversions are as follows: of royalty, tyranny; of aristocracy, oligarchy; of constitutional government, democracy.”

“The form of government is a democracy when the free, who are also poor and the majority, govern, and an oligarchy when the rich and the noble govern, they being at the same time few in number.”

“A government which is composed of the middle class more nearly approximates to democracy than to oligarchy, and is the safest of the imperfect forms of government.”

“The true friend of the people should see that they be not too poor, for extreme poverty lowers the character of the democracy.”
