NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Friday, on behalf of all 32 teams, that Black Lives Matter and insisted that “we the National Football League admit we were wrong for not listening to players.â€
“We, the National Football League, condemn racism and the systematic oppression of black people,†Goodell said in response to the police involved death of Minneapolis man George Floyd, which has sparked protests and mass rioting and looting across America. “We, the National Football League, admit we were wrong for not listening to NFL players earlier and encourage all to speak out and peacefully protest.â€
“We, the National Football League, believe black lives matter. I personally protest with you and want to be part of the much-needed change in this country. Without black players, there would be no National Football League. And the protests around the country are emblematic of the centuries of silence, inequality and oppression of black players, coaches, fans and staff.â€
This obviously goes to the players protesting, the Colin Kaepernick issue, and the latest with Drew Brees, the latter of whom should realize that once you apologize, once you back down, the SJWs will never give up. You’ve made yourself an easy target, and nothing will satisfy them now. They will keep coming for him.
An interesting stat is that, of the players, around 68% are black. And get paid millions. And celebrity. I don’t think they’re suffering. Perhaps they could put their money where their mouths are and tell black kids to get a good education, particularly in STEM.
The league also pledged to donate $20 million to support programs and initiatives around the country that “address systemic racism.â€
Goodell should realize the same thing, now that he’s grovelled, the SJWs will not stop. They’ll demand more and more. That $20 million is just a downpayment. And the league will be surprised when ratings, attendance, and merchandise sales drop if we get a helping of SJW at the games.
That $20 million should be taken out of the black players who kneel during the anthem’s pay. Black lives don’t matter one iota more than the lives of any other American and to acquiesce to such racist and separatist blind hatred and divisiveness is emblematic of what the left in this country has evolved into. A hate fest of the first water!
Also, there is zero “systemic racism” in the United States regardless of how many times these haters repeat the lie!
