Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison has now amended the charges against Derek Chauvin bumping the charge to second degree murder.

    Here’s the amended complaint: http://www.mncourts.gov/mncourtsgov/media/High-Profile-Cases/27-CR-20-12646/AmendedComplaint06032020.pdf

Ellison has also charged the other three officers on the scene with “aiding and abetting” in the death of George Floyd.

For Ellison to prove second degree murder, there must be an underlying crime. The charging documents don’t say what that crime is which makes no sense.

Ellison has a long history of political activism that includes hatred of other races and religions other than Islam.

It is almost as if Ellison is overreaching on the charge against Chauvin to make sure a jury won’t and can’t convict him, thus setting off more violence and destruction.

Or that he knows this is going to be another Freddie Gray.

Or that he knows this is going to be another Freddie Gray.

Which was another case of overcharging. The actions of all but one of the officers was legal and fine. The action of the driver of the wagon was against policy and recklessly endangered Gray.

But the City Prosecutor over charged and the circumstances of the actual case meant everyone walked.

Pease! He is properly referred to as Keith bin Ellison!

James “Mad Dog” Mattis, former Sec of Defense under Trump, who resigned Dec 2018:

When I joined the military, some 50 years ago, I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution. Never did I dream that troops taking that same oath would be ordered under any circumstance to violate the Constitutional rights of their fellow citizens—much less to provide a bizarre photo op for the elected commander-in-chief, with military leadership standing alongside.

We must reject any thinking of our cities as a “battlespace” that our uniformed military is called upon to “dominate.” At home, we should use our military only when requested to do so, on very rare occasions, by state governors. Militarizing our response, as we witnessed in Washington, D.C., sets up a conflict—a false conflict—between the military and civilian society. It erodes the moral ground that ensures a trusted bond between men and women in uniform and the society they are sworn to protect, and of which they themselves are a part.

Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership. We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society. This will not be easy, as the past few days have shown, but we owe it to our fellow citizens; to past generations that bled to defend our promise; and to our children.

Always though Mattis was a poser.

Anybody ever call Douglas MacArthur a Warrior Monk? Phil Sheridan? Andrew Jackson? Vinegar Joe Stilwell?

Unfortunately, there are a lot of Lefty Marines. The nicknames and sobriquets are the stuff of Madison Avenue, not the rank and file.

Trump wanted us out of a fight where we had no stake and Mattis resigned.

Kinda shows who’s on what side.

    • gitarcarver says:

      Mattis needs a history lesson.

      Brown v. Board of Education.

      1957.

      Little Rock, Arkansas.

      82nd Airborne.

The left hates facts and history because all the left has is hate.

    • Nighthawk says:

Reading… Reading…. Reading….. Strange, I can find nowhere in the Constitution that gives the right to burn, steal, destroy, maim or kill. There is something in there about peaceably assembling but I guess that is easy to miss.

Mattis is a partisan poser who apparently has forgotten the first line of the oath he took. ” I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC”. The key word here being DOMESTIC. These rioters are enemies and need to be dealt with as such. The military leadership that was standing along side understand this and thankfully, James “Milquetoast” Mattis is no longer in a position to surrender our military to the enemy.

On Wednesday, federal prosecutors announced that three far-right militants with ties to the “boogaloo” movement have been arrested on terrorism-related charges in Las Vegas.

“They were arrested Saturday on the way to a protest in downtown Las Vegas after filling gas cans at a parking lot and making Molotov cocktails in glass bottles, according to a copy of the criminal complaint obtained by The Associated Press.”

“The complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas on Wednesday said they self-identified as part of the ‘boogaloo’ movement, which U.S. prosecutors said in the document is ‘a term used by extremists to signify coming civil war and/or fall of civilization,’” said the report. “Stephen T. Parshall, 35, Andrew T. Lynam Jr., 23, and William L. Loomis, 40, were being held on $1 million bond each in the Clark County jail Wednesday, according to court records.”

  8. Elwood P. Dowd says:

So Trump told FOX he, Melania and Barren weren’t taken to the protective bunker, but that he was merely inspecting it earlier in the day.

Do trump supporters feel insulted that trump would expect you to believe that?

    • Liljeffyatemypuppy says:

The Secret Service decides on matters of safety for the President and would have made the decision to secure the President in the so called protective bunker.

If you weren’t such a dumbass you would know that.

No, but we’re not surprised you’d say something like that.

I guess your little bombshell about Vegas made a big flop.

Fake News has been lying all along. Why would we buy the latest lie?
