I watched CBS discuss this. The reporter shocked me actually. She said many Trump supporters actually voted for this guy because he has done a good job for LA but they still plan on voting for Trump in 2020. They said Trump doesn’t understand LA politics.
This is no different than several deep blue states in the NE installing GOP governors while keeping the rest of the government Blue.
What is hurting this country right now is the polarization of local politics. I mean county politics should be about building roads and bridges and funding the fire and police and making sure people are happy with the local life they have been helped to achieve by the government.
Instead, you’re getting this divide of left and right even down to city hall meetings over politics instead of helping the people in need.
For 3 years there has been a concerted effort by Democrats and the media to de-legitimize the election of a Republican president.
So now it’s divisive for the President and Republicans to punch back?

So now Dear Leader and his subjects are victims of grand conspiracies to overthrow the king.
The moment the unstable Dear Leader realizes he’ll be a private citizen Jan 2021, he’ll leave his followers high and dry. He has to. He’ll cut a deal with the authorities to save himself and he may take an overseas trip and never return.

It’s encouraging to realize that once trump is gone, “The Deplorables” will once again become normal, decent Americans.
