Climate Kids File U.N. Complaint Against Five Countries

It’s a good thing they all took fossil fueled trips to the United Nations

Greta Thunberg & Allies File Climate Complaint Against 5 Countries (Not China)

Swedish teen climate alarmist Greta Thunberg and 15 other children filed a complaint with the United Nations on Monday, accusing five countries of inaction on combatting so-called climate change.

The complaint, filed with the U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child, accuses Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, and Turkey of failing to fulfill their obligations to act against climate change, placing them in violation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, a three-decade-old human rights treaty which sets out the “civil, political, social, and cultural rights of children.

“Change needs to happen now if we are to avoid the worst consequences. The climate crisis is not just the weather. It means also, lack of food and lack of water, places that are unlivable and refugees because of it. It is scary,” Thunberg said in a statement upon announcing the complaint.

The 16 petitioning children range from 8 to 17 years old and hail from Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, India, Marshall Islands, Nigeria, Palau, South Africa, Sweden, Tunisia, and the United States.

The complaint was filed through the Third Optional Protocol, a mechanism which allows children to formally request the U.N. take action regarding the petitioner’s cause of choice.

The complaint does not name China, which accounts for 30 percent of global emissions, because it has not signed the part of the Convention on the Rights of the Child treaty allowing children to seek justice for breaching the agreement. The establishment media over the weekend remained silent on Beijing’s ban of Climate Strike events throughout the country, despite the participation of over 150 counties raising awareness for purported “global warming.”

I think it would be fun to make the kids live the Cult of Climastrology life they are advocating. Take away their smartphones. Limit their use of the Internet because energy would be very, very expensive, as well as unreliable. Hand wash and line dry their clothes. Put a two minute timer on their showers. All those energy drinks go bye bye. If they want to go somewhere they can take the bus if their parents cannot afford a Tesla. They have to live in a tiny home. No burgers, fries, or pizza with meat toppings. Cheese would be very expensive, since cow populations get wiped out. Etc and so on. Oh, wait, right, 50% of their allowance is taken for The Government in taxes/fees.

And here’s one of the other kiddos

Months After Paradise Fire Triggered Her Asthma, Teen Activist Goes to UN Climate Summit

As fires ravaged the town of Paradise last year, killing 86 people and destroying 15,000 homes in Northern California, smoke seeped south into Davis. Face masks were distributed, but they were not impenetrable, and smoke inhalation began to overwhelm many, including Alexandria Villaseñor whose asthma was triggered.

“I remember being so scared thinking about how if I stood outside for too long, I could collapse and it would be over,” the 14-year-old climate activist said.

Villaseñor had recently moved to New York City from Davis, and was in her home state visiting family when the deadliest fire in California history ignited. She was soon sent back to New York, where she wound up in the emergency room after her asthma continued. There, she began to research wildfires and their connection to climate change.

Less than a month later, she sat outside the United Nations, joining 16-year-old Swedish activist Greta Thunberg in a solidarity protest of global governmental inaction in addressing the climate crisis. Villaseñor said she’s been out there every Friday since for the past 41 weeks — through snow, sleet, rain and the polar vortex — while working to mobilize students throughout the country to join the fight.

So, see, because a fire that was caused by downed transmission lines, which many are blaming on incompetence of the power company, supposedly triggered her asthma, the rest of us are supposed to give in and allow Government to control our lives. Riiiiiiiight.

Certainly more fun for right-wingers than discussing climate change. How will you force this on them?

Oh, I’ll bet there’s a slice of land (Alaska, Nevada) where they could be penned in to their own ecosystem and have to live with the consequences of what they want for everybody else.

She’s just another David Hogg. An underage Lefty mouthpiece because everybody heard the Hildabeast say it was for the chil’run and saw all the money go into her pocket too many times.

  2. Nighthawk says:

A hint at how clueless the warmists are. To replace just the US’s use of fossil fuels would require almost all land in CONUS to be given over to wind and/or solar farms that only generate power at a max of 60% of the time. We would need batteries to store enough energy to provide for the remaining 40%. Imagine the size and massive numbers of these batteries that would be required. Then imagine the vast amounts of materials that would need to be mined, processed and shipped to produce these batteries. Add in there the materials for the solar and wind farms along with the infrastructure that would have to be built to service, maintain and transmit the electricity from these farms. Remember, the life span of solar panels and windmills is only 15 to 20 years then they have to be overhauled or replaced. Same goes for the batteries. Imagine the massive quantities of toxic waste that the mining, manufacture, maintenance and disposal of all the wonderful, eco-friendly things will produce.

All of these feel good measures to “save the world”, if implemented, would actually be worse for the environment and speed up the demise of this world that they proclaim to love so much. All based on a lie.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

No one said cleaning up the entire Earth would be easy. But almost all the land would be needed for solar arrays and windfarms? That’s not what the experts say.

“Despite a near tripling in land used by the power sector in southern states, the northeast would experience the greatest visible change with over 10 percent of land devoted to energy generation in nine states.”

It’s absolutely true that we’ll have trade-offs replacing fossil fuels with renewables (and nuclear).

Global warming is not based on a lie, it’s based on evidence. It’s real despite the denials from the right-wing.

      • Nighthawk says:

I stand corrected. It would take 750,000,000 acres of land. That’s TEN times the size of Arizona for wind to produce the almost 4 billion Megawatt hours used in the US in 2018. Then throw in there the space needed for the batteries and land use becomes a real problem. And this is just for the US for an energy solution that produces energy only 60% of the time maximum. Apply these figures to the whole world. No, it won’t be easy because it’s impossible.

This is just a pipe dream of the warmists. Renewable energy does not exist. Windmills, solar panels and batteries all use fossil fuels to produce, operate, transport, maintain and dispose of. This is the reality and will be for the next century or more.

      • formwiz says:

Which experts are these? The same ones who say CO2 is causing the earth to warm?

Solar and wind are soft energy. They can run a traffic light, but not a city.

It’s absolutely true that we’ll have trade-offs replacing fossil fuels with renewables (and nuclear).

Yeah, like give up our rights so some tin penny gauleiter like the Walking Talking Boob can tell us how we must live or go to Dachau-on-the-Brazos.

And I thought all the Lefties hated nucular, especially since we were so mean to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Global warming is a lie, it’s not based on evidence. It’s not real despite the denials from the Left-wing.

        • formwiz says:

The headline of your linked piece Renewable energy sources can take up to 1000 times more space than fossil fuels

          Can you actually read?

Bullshit. And screw that little retard with her commie parents.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Screw her? She’s only 16. tRump might, but it’s still against the law.

You can’t even argue with 16 year old? You resort to epithets? How mature of you.

Ms. Thunberg does not have Down’s Syndrome. Do you?

Why do you slur her parents as “commies”? Do you have evidence of the politics? Or do you just consider all Swedes to be “commies”? Or maybe you just call everyone who disagrees with you a commie.

      • formwiz says:

She’s Swedish. She’s been laid lots of times.

You can’t even argue with 16 year old? You resort to epithets? How mature of you.

You obviously never tried. And her parents are, at least, hardcore Socialists. Sweden ring a bell?

Why not? She’s backed by Dr Evil and her parents let her be used the way Cindy Sheehan was used.

        Yeah, I’d say they’re Commies.

maybe you just call everyone who disagrees with you a commie.

        No, just you.

You didn’t say that when it was some guys from Covington Catholic turning the other cheek to a wild Commie Indian.
