Well, that’s a nice start to my return from a week backpacking in the wilderness. Another cute girl futiley trying to escape the rising seas of climate change on something floaty. This morning on CBS I learned that my state is trying to fund sea walls to stop climate change induced rising seas, and that these rising seas disproportionately affect poor people so the oil companies should pay for it or something. I’m not so sure about that last part, because every time I see a rising sea picture there are cute young girls in exotic expensive resorts that they traveled long distances to.

60 Minutes is re-running a story today on the damage that AR-15 style weapons and high-velocity ammo (what gun nuts describe as “just a .22”) do to humans, and discussions of the attacks of Sandy Hook, Marjorie Stoneman, Sutherland Springs, Las Vegas, etc. EMTs are now being trained in “field combat” work.
When the Dems take the House, the Senate and the Presidency, what’s a gun nut to do? The NRA is crippled, although they still work with the Russians.
