Global Climahypocrites Call For Action On ‘Climate Change’ Or Something

I never did get around to posting on all the hypocrisy of the global elites gathering in Davos, arriving in their fossil fueled private jets

It was either Dana or Guitar Carver who mentioned this in the comments a few days ago. You also had Al Gore talking about “rain bombs” after taking a long fossil fueled trip, and you know he only flies private. And we get this

Global leaders call for action on climate change

World Bank chief Kristalina Georgieva urged the global elites to take a simple step to understand the urgency of combating climate change: “Get the picture of your children, your grandchildren in front of you.”

Speaking on the last day of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Georgieva warned that the potential “cost in terms of suffering is immeasurable” if the world can’t control a rise in temperatures.

She dismissed the idea that cutting emissions would hurt the economy, citing a study that found a rapid rise in temperatures could slash global economic output by 25 percent.

Christine Lagarde, head of the International Monetary Fund, said: “Rising temperatures will wipe out whole segments of economies.”

The “new climate economy,” by contrast, would create 65 million jobs, Georgieva said.

All you have to ask of these climahypocrites is “what’s in it for them?” Seriously, after a small rise of 1.5 Fahrenheit since 1850, Mankind has grown more during that time than any other period in history. The advances are too many to list. Just imagine what’s happened in the last 30 years. Think deep. Sure seems like we’re doing great, and even if there is a rise of another 1.5F (and there’s no proof it would be mostly/solely caused by Mankind), would the whole economy collapse?

Also strange is that Warmists listen to these global elites. Doesn’t the hard left always tell us they are bad people?

Any opprobrium to be heaped on the Davos elites is well-deserved.

The super-rich flying to Switzerland to pat each other on the back, and tell the rest of us how to live, making sure they continue to keep most of the resources and wealth?

They can be right on global warming but wrong on economics and humanity.

    • Liljeffyatemypuppy says:

Spare us the sanctimony, nignorant one, no one here buys it.

    • formwiz says:

You mean the super-rich including at least 2 Demo Presidents and a recent failed candidate who stole 7 million votes?

You mean Lefty bankrollers like Dr Evil?

And they’re wrong on global warming, which is their ticket to more money.

And Fraulein Keene is one of their shills.

Thing is, they are mostly right on economics and humanity: capitalism is the only system we have ever known which has lifted more than a tiny minority above the subsistence level. Imposing socialism gets you Venezuela and North Korea.

The People’s Republic of China tried socialism, until Chairman Mao went to his eternal reward. After that, though they maintained their tight totalitarian controls, the Communists slowly moved their economy back to capitalism, and the result is now the world’s second largest economy and growing prosperity.

C’est moi! C’est moi, I blush to disclose, I’m far too noble to lie

The GOP is the party to succor the ultra-wealthy. There are likely even liberal multimillionaires who appreciate the GOP taking care of the rich.

Binary thinking whether deceptive or just ignorant imagines only two options of any continuum. We don’t have to choose between a Venezuela cesspool or Dickensian London. Rather think Denmark vs China. Capitalism is the best system for wealth creation with the potential for taking care of the most citizens, but in the US the population has been ill-served by the economy for the past 40 years or so. Working class wages have been largely stagnant.

      • formwiz says:

Just shows that Frau Jeffery’s attempt’s at thinking are still mired in the ’30s. The wealthy have been the party of the Demos for a quarter of a century as the last 2 Democrat Administrations show.

Working class wages have been largely stagnant.

Clearly, Idiot Girl has been brain dead the last 2 years.

        • Jacob Noire says:

Yet, it’s always the GOPhers who slash taxes for the wealthy.

          • formwiz says:

Yes, the Demos always raise taxes, but, after ’91, they learned their lesson and made love, not war, with the wealthy.

But, since Ka Jeffery likes being mendacious, we must inform her that Trump’s tax plan doubles the standard deduction. Taxpayers can deduct up to $10,000 in state and local taxes.

The Act expands the deduction for medical expenses.

The Act doubles the estate tax exemption to $11.2 million for singles and $22.4 million for couples. That helps the top 1 percent of the population who pay it.

The Act increases the Child Tax Credit from $1,000 to $2,000.

Yeah, that’s a real bl;ow to the little people.

Your partisan is showing again. Those mean GOPhers as you snidely call them believe all Americans should be treated fairly and not singled out by government for financial punishment or reward therefore when they “slash” taxes they do it for all taxpayers not just the ones who vote Republican. The wealthy get more money back because they pay more money in. You want to wage class warfare which I understand since it’s a basic of communist treachery but it is really immoral and un American. You, being a leftist, love any idea that can hurt, harm, impede, enslave, imprison or even kill your opponents. Winning isn’t enough, the opposition must be crushed to make an example.

    • formwiz says:

The tax cut was intended to stimulate business to get companies hiring again.

Demos hate that. So do Commies like Jeffery. They want people out of work.

      • Jacob Noire says:

Stop being silly. Yet it’s “communist” Ocasio-Cortez proposing every American be employed.

President Obama extended the Bush tax cuts through 2012 and unemployment benefits through 2011. And cut payroll taxes by 2 percent, adding $120 million to workers’ spendable income. And extended a college tuition tax credit. And also included $55 billion in industry-specific tax cuts.

But Obama also cut taxes in 2009 and 2013. In 2009, $288 billion were cut as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. In 2013, Obama approved the permanent extension of the Bush tax cuts for those below a certain income level.

From the end of the Great Recession until now we’ve had 90+ months of job growth.

        • formwiz says:

No, we’ve had 2 years of job growth, thanks to Donald Trump.

Zippy never had GDP above 1.5. Jeffery sheng nu wants us to believe the stimulus was anything more than a political boondoggle for Zippy’s friends (what have we got to show for it but the @##%$^*0 roundabouts) and a few environmental boondoggles.

And the Commies always want people to have something to do. No welfare in the Workers’ Paradise.

          Idle hands are unrest’s playground.

    • Jacob Noire says:

The other commenter claimed that Dems were the party of the rich, yet it’s the GOP who slash taxes for the wealthy.

Whether the wealthy should pay more is a different subject. I think they (we) should. We already have class warfare and the wealthy are trouncing the working classes.

Hurt, enslave, imprison and killing of opponents is overly dramatic. Having the wealthy pay taxes at a rate they previously paid is not lethal.

Was President Eisenhower a communist? Are all American politicians communists since we have had a progressive income tax since it was enacted?

      • Liljeffyatemypuppy says:

        Another silly meaningless rant.

      • formwiz says:

No, the Rs slash taxes across the board. Jeffery nuer never gets when he’s been beat so I’ll do it again.

It lowers tax rates but keeps the seven income tax brackets.

Trump’s tax plan doubles the standard deduction.

It keeps deductions for charitable contributions, retirement savings, and student loan interest.

Taxpayers can deduct up to $10,000 in state and local taxes.

The cut expands the deduction for medical expenses.

The cut doubles the estate tax exemption to $11.2 million for singles and $22.4 million for couples.

The cut increases the Child Tax Credit from $1,000 to $2,000.

It allows parents to use 529 savings plans for tuition at private and religious K-12 schools. They can also use the funds for expenses for home-schooled students.

It allows a $500 credit for each non-child dependent. The credit helps families caring for elderly parents.

The cut repeals the Obamacare tax on those without health insurance in 2019.

I can keep copying this in here every time you lie.

  4. Jl says:

And yet the wealthy still pay a greater share of the income tax bill with a lower rate today than they did with a much higher rate under Eisenhower. This seems to be a very difficult concept for some to understand
