Washington Post Lays Out How Trump Can Win

The Editorial Board of the Washington Post seems Very Concerned over how Donald Trump can win the election, and here’s their response

The only way Trump can win

AS THE 2016 presidential campaign draws to a close, Donald Trump is airing commercials that present him as a change agent who will shake up Washington. Not a mainstream politician, exactly, but nothing to be afraid of, either. This appeal seems to be having some success, as Mr. Trump pulls even with his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, in some national polls and surpasses her in likely voters’ judgment on who is more trustworthy.

Ultimately, though, this appeal can succeed only if voters succumb to last-minute distractions and ignore or forget Mr. Trump’s record. Allow us to offer a few reminders.

You didn’t think this was going to be a positive editorial, did you?

“If I decide to run for office, I’ll produce my tax returns, absolutely.”

This lie is emblematic, for two reasons. First, Mr. Trump’s refusal to release his returns is an unprecedented sign of contempt for voters; every major-party nominee of the modern era has respected this basic norm of transparency.

Uh huh

  • “I’ve never received nor sent any material that was marked classified”
  • “At this point, what difference does it make?”
  • “Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet. ” (blaming the video for the Benghazi attack in public while telling her daughter in private it was a terrorist attack)

Then

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. . . . They’re sending people who have lots of problems. . . . They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

They often aren’t sending their best. The crime reports show this. Hillary, on the other hand, wants to bring in 10’s of thousands of people from the Middle East who cannot be vetted, won’t be vetted, and resettle them over the objections of US citizens. We’ve seen how well this has worked out in Europe.

“You’d be in jail.”

American democracy survives the passions and animus stirred up every four years because its leaders always have accepted this rule: The loser acknowledges the winner, and the winner leaves the loser in peace. Mr. Trump disavows both sides of that time-tested formula.

She would be in jail if her name wasn’t Hillary Clinton. And the WPEB would cheer this if she was a Republican.

“I would bring back a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding.”

Mr. Trump’s celebration of torture provides one answer to that question. His vow to kill the innocent relatives of suspected terrorists offers another. A commander in chief in the U.S. system has vast powers, often beyond the reach of Congress or the courts to check. Mr. Trump could in fact order the CIA to resume waterboarding suspects — and worse — to the immense discredit of the country.

Why such a concern over terrorists who would be happy to slit the throats of the members of the WPEB?

“I’ve always felt fine about Putin. I think he’s a strong leader, he’s a powerful leader.”

Remember when Hillary trotted out her “reset button”? And called Bashar Assad a reformer? When she pledged support and said how great Mohamed Morsi was, a leader in the Muslim Brotherhood, a terrorist organization?

Some addition whining from the WPEB continues, till we get to the end

“Make America great again.”

It is mystifying that so many Republicans, after criticizing Mr. Obama for eight years for showing insufficient pride in the United States, would attach themselves to someone who has such contempt for the country, its institutions and its values. U.S. generals have been “reduced to rubble,” the U.S. Army cannot fight, U.S. cities are “hell,” U.S. wealth has been “stripped” away by global interests, the electoral system is “one big, ugly lie.” To each of these disasters, Mr. Trump offers phony solutions (Mexico will pay to build a wall) or none at all. He has neither the interest nor the capacity to suggest actual policies.

Of course, he doesn’t have contempt. I dislike defending Trump, but, poll after poll show that people think the economy is not doing well. Really, though, this has nothing to do with anything the WPEB highlights, it’s the phrase itself: liberals hate America and all it stands for, and would like to tear it down.

We believe, as we have said, that Ms. Clinton is well-prepared to serve as president. But even voters who disagree — who believe that Ms. Clinton is unqualified or ethically distasteful — cannot realistically argue that she represents a danger to the republic.

Mr. Trump is such a danger. Only by forgetting or ignoring what he has told us could Americans decide otherwise.

Uh huh. A woman who put her convenience over national security. A woman who intentionally attempted to destroy women who credibly accused her husband of rape. A woman who used her position as Secretary of State as a means to enrich herself and her family through pay for play to her so-called charitable foundation, and used her charitable foundation to enrich herself while spending a whopping 6% on actual charity. She puts herself over country. That’s a danger.

    Oh my, NYPD Russkies…

NYPD detectives and a NYPD Chief, the department’s highest rank under Commissioner, said openly that if the FBI and Justice Department fail to garner timely indictments against Clinton and co- conspirators, NYPD will go public with the damaging emails now in the hands of FBI Director James Comey and many FBI field offices.

“What’s in the emails is staggering and as a father, it turned my stomach,” the NYPD Chief said. “There is not going to be any Houdini-like escape from what we found. We have copies of everything. We will ship them to Wikileaks or I will personally hold my own press conference if it comes to that.”

LOL like Obama produced his Birth certificate.

Like Obama produced his college Transcripts like Bush was forced to do.

Like Obama produced any friends in the history of the world that actually knew the kid prior to his becoming president.

Like Obama produced his papers from his times as a college professor.

Like anyone….ANYONE ever stepped forward and claimed Obama was his professor in College……

    You mean like that?

Trump has simply taken a page from the Saul Alinsky school of politics and the left is apeshit crazy over it….

Accuse him of anything and you don’t defend anything……just say Ill release my tax returns….then start calling Hillary names….

This is what the lefts been doing for years….and Incidently Trump is using Alinsky on her as he hits her with a 1000 accusations a day that they have to swat down…..

How to defeat your opponent?? Use Saul Alinsky on them…..the public is too stupid to know whats going on and has been for decades now.

  3. Hank_M says:

    Completely agree with Liam.

After Barry O, any outrage over a failure to produce anything is nothing but pure hypocrisy.

In fact, after the last 8 years, the left has nothing left to use against anyone without being rank hypocrites.

Lying to the american public? Please welcome Barry Obama.

Politicizing our federal institutions? See the DOJ, IRS and others.

Graft and corruption? Please step forward Mrs Clinton.

A nation of laws? Obama refused to enforce laws he disagreed with.

War on women? Again, please raise your hand Mrs Clinton.

    I could go on.

    FUN TIMES::GREAT QUOTES TO FOLLOW:::

The working mans comedian Roseanne Barr said, “I think we would be so lucky if Trump won,..” and “When people come here and they get a lot of benefits that our own veterans don’t get. What’s up with that?” Roseanne is just one of many who are breaking the rules of identity politics. You won’t believe the next one.

Shortly after Mohammed Ali’s funeral the boxing promoter said this“What I said is that with Trump calling all these people out, he (is showing he) can’t be bought, he can’t be controlled, the party can’t control him, he works for the will of the people.

Rock and Roll legend and outspoken 2nd amendment supporter Ted Nugent has voiced his support for Trump several times saying, “Donald Trump Is The Hellraiser America Has Needed For A Very Long Time.”

Also, “Donald Trump’s message sings to Americans because he doesn’t play politically correct brain-dead games. He calls them like he sees them. That’s refreshing to millions of Americans who believe political correctness is a public cancer that has eroded free speech and everything else good about America.”

In an interview Herschel Walker(You know another black man) said “When are we going to get back to what’s best for this country? I think that’s what Donald is pushing to do. … I think we have to get a president now that’s more of a business person.”

Now an ordained minister Manigault-Stallworth(A Black Woman Minister) went in to bat for Trump at a black ministers meeting saying, “When Tiger got involved with golf, people who had never been watching or involved or interested in golf, they got engaged. That’s what’s happening with this Trump candidacy.”

Terrel Owens(A black football star)said “This may be what the country needs and Trump … he’s a guy who won’t put up with B.S. and has what it takes to change how government is run.”

I could go on….the thing is this….Trump is promising to be the president for EVERYONE….we all need to hold him to that if hes elected….that means if he does something the Democrats like….the GOP cant go apeshit and threaten to impeach him…..

  5. Zachriel says:

Liam Thomas: LOL like Obama produced his Birth certificate.

Obama produced his Certification of Live Birth in 2008. Since the advent of electronic records, Hawaii no longer issues copies of the original record of birth. Nonetheless, Obama request and Hawaii granted an exception so that he could provide the so-called long form birth certificate in 2011. Meanwhile, Trump kept up the farce until 2016.

Liam Thomas: Like Obama produced any friends in the history of the world that actually knew the kid prior to his becoming president.

Old friends recall Obama’s college years

School buds: 20 Harvard classmates advising Obama

Liam Thomas: Like Obama produced his papers from his times as a college professor.

Which papers? If you mean the paper he wrote during his senior year for an honors seminar in American Foreign Policy at Columbia, it wasn’t retained by Columbia as it wasn’t a formal thesis.

Liam Thomas: Like anyone….ANYONE ever stepped forward and claimed Obama was his professor in College……

    Barack Obama Was My Teacher

  6. Rev.Hoagie® says:

Zachriel, you are apparently a virtual encyclopedia on Obama’s friends, family, history etcetera. Tell us about his ties with Frank Marshall Davis and his affiliation with the communist Harvard radical Charles Ogletree.

If time and room permit how about his close association with people like Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers and Bernadette Dorn (you know the two radical communist terrorists and murderers). And how about his “personal” friend Tony Rezko? How did they do that crooked land deal?

Has he ever associated with anyone who actually loves the United States not to mention ever put on a uniform to defend her? A lot of communists, patriots well, not so many.

But it’s good you know where to find your delightful talking points about his friends and history. Keep up the noble work.

BTW, did he have any published papers or anything in The Harvard Review? What were his grades like? I know he’s the smartest man in the world so I was just wonderin’.

One final question: what faith is he, if any?

  7. Liam Thomas says:

Obama produced his Certification of Live Birth in 2008.

LOLOLOL….right back at you….IN JUNE 2008…..FIVE PLUS MONTHS….******AFTER****** he was SWORN IN…NOT DURING HIS CAMPAIGN.

Like Obama produced his papers from his times as a college professor.

ALL PHDS PUBLISH….in addition anyone would have kept a copy of their own dissertation…easily produced.

Like anyone….ANYONE ever stepped forward and claimed Obama was his professor in College……

ONE PERSON….I stand corrected….ONE PERSON who mostly likely WAS PAID TO SAY THEY WERE HIS STUDENT>…..Doncha just think that as popular as Barak Obama was that there would have been a flood of these coming forward…….

    ONE PERSON……

Awesome but once again this is about Trumps taxes vs Obama’s Birth Certificate…neither which were produced before they actually take office…….

    I rest my case.

  8. Rev.Hoagie® says:

Awesome but once again this is about Trumps taxes vs Obama’s Birth Certificate…

If that’s what this is about then Trumps taxes don’t matter. No person is required to reveal his taxes. A person MUST prove they have the birthright to be President.

BTW, knowing what the leftists are like and knowing what hackers can do today with a persons information would any of you reveal your taxes? Frankly, I wouldn’t reveal my taxes to anybody and any person who would I would be reluctant to vote for.

  9. Jeffery says:

But as a conservablogger you’ve been bred to lie.

And where are the tax returns that TheDon promised?

  10. drowningpuppies says:

But as a conservablogger you’ve been bred to lie.

That’s rich coming from a little guy who lied about serving in the Army.

  11. Rev.Hoagie® says:

The little guy’s a lot more than Stolen Valor, drowningpuppies. Here he is at his best admitting to voter fraud and a felony.

So I guess you have decided that based on the description above, you aren’t voting for Hillary.
Au contraire! I plan to vote for her several times!
    Comment by Jeffery— October 29, 2016 @ 8:06 pm

This while calling other commenter (me) names and showing the leftist propensity toward incarcerating political opponants (like a true communist-to the gulag with them). With a lovely dash of low class black and Mexican srereotyping rhrown in for extra measure.

Rev (you must be a fundamentalist rev to be such a horrible dirtbag),
Nearly 20% of the voters have already cast their votes – and it looks good for Hillary!
Anyone who would vote for the serial sexual abuser criminal pedophile incestual pig manwhore deserves to be jailed along with him. That nasty old congenital liar manslut bottom bitch will be treated to a lot of big Black and Mexican dick in prison!
    Comment by Jeffery— October 28, 2016 @ 10:19 pm

Then, showing more racist hatred for whites and racial stereotyping for minorities (cause after all they are too stupid to know what to do without their leftist handlers) and some nice anti Christian bigotry for good measure.

We understand your pain and frustration. First an uppity negro fraudulently steals two elections – one from a true white patriot and one from a whiter business hero. The one white man who had the cajones to tell the world the negro wasn’t even an American was mocked and ridiculed (Alinsky 5) by the liberal MSM! Now “they’re” trying to force this “smarter than us” bitch on America, almost as if liberal Dems despise the white man. It’s reverse discrimination, that’s what it is!

We feel your pain. A n****r prez, then a bitch prez, muzzies rejecting jesus, Spics speaking Mexican, women demanding equality, negroes demanding not to be shot, faggots picking their own bathrooms, climate change, lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

From your perspective it must seem that the days of white christian male privilege are being eroded. A real man could call a spade a spade and grab a pussy whenever he wanted. When the privileged start to lose their privileges it feels like discrimination.

    Comment by Jeffery— October 29, 2016 @ 8:02 am

    Or this lovely, hateful rant:

Many white Americans think that life is good for African-Americans ’cause Oprah and Obama, but when African-Americans beg to differ, many white Americans feel put upon. When privilege is pointed out to the privileged, they feel discriminated against. It’s even worse for The Deplorables, those whites left behind by shifts in the economy, looking for someone to blame for the plight. Enter The Don with his anti-African-American background, his anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim and anti-Mexican rhetoric.

    Comment by Jeffery— September 18, 2016 @ 9:28

    And this silly “virtue signaling”:

I chose decades ago to live simply and to use my accumulated millions for purposes other than showing off. It means my carbon footprint is pretty durn low, especially for a wealthy guy. Just another climate realist practicing what they preach.

All this projection coming from an admitted liar to commit voter fraud and a millionaire who accuses others of “white privilege” or demeans people of faith (unless they’re moslems). Wow! Leftists leave nothing but hate in their wake.

Killary the pig compromised the security of the United States for her own benefit to keep her emails from the FOIA. A vote for Klepto-Killary is an act of treason.

Crooked Hillary allowed four brave Americans to be murdered in Benghazi after being begged for more protection several times. A vote for corrupt Killary is an act of treason.

The grifting liar Klepto “foundation” Killary is being investigated by the FBI on several different illegal charges relating to her “pay to play” scam with our government. A vote for the Clinton Crime Family is an act of treason.

As demonstrated above the only real privilege in America is Leftist privilege. It is they who run the news media and shape people’s views. It’s they who own the entertainment industry to the point that almost every show and movie has a leftist bent. It is they who control education and crank out mindless dopes with degrees in African dance who can’t get jobs but make great complaining victims. And it is these privileged leftists who have millions yet constantly are figuring new ways of stealing the wages from us middle class folks. And finally it is these privileged leftists like the criminal Killary that speak to others as “deplorables” and who demean and ridicule minorities with the subtle racism of low expectations.

drowningpuppies, the little guy is just a product of Red Diaper parents, like Bernie Sanders and Hussein who grew to be Bright Red Privileged Leftists who think they are better than the rest of us. A “privileged” group of ungrateful goons who mostly never would put on the uniform of our country let alone risk life or limb yet never seem to run out of the endless list of “rights” we fought and bled for and they do it “taking a knee” during the anthem without the least bit of gratitude. And the one thing these privileged putz’s have in common is they all hate America. They have to. It was founded , built and made great by straight, white, Christian men. Everything they as Leftists hate and fear at the same time.

  12. Zachriel says:

Rev.Hoagie®: Tell us about his ties with Frank Marshall Davis

    That wasn’t the issue raised.

Liam Thomas: IN JUNE 2008…..FIVE PLUS MONTHS….******AFTER****** he was SWORN IN…NOT DURING HIS CAMPAIGN.

Obama was sworn in as President on January 20, 2009.

Obama has a law degree from Harvard, not a PhD.

Rev.Hoagie®: If that’s what this is about then Trumps taxes don’t matter. No person is required to reveal his taxes.

No, but due to the complex nature of finance and government, it had, until Trump, been considered necessary to expose conflicts of interest. But it is up to the people to decide whether Trump’s breaking with tradition is acceptable.

Rev.Hoagie®: A person MUST prove they have the birthright to be President.

Which Obama did when he first ran for president.

Rev.Hoagie®: This while calling other commenter (me) names and showing the leftist propensity toward incarcerating political opponants (like a true communist-to the gulag with them).

    Lock her up!

Rev.Hoagie®: {Clinton{ compromised the security of the United States for her own benefit to keep her emails from the FOIA.

The FBI investigated and found no cause for legal action.

  13. Rev.Hoagie® says:

Rev.Hoagie®: A person MUST prove they have the birthright to be President.

Which Obama did when he first ran for president.

I agree Zachriel, I was just pointing out one was mandatory, the other optional.

I wouldn’t call releasing tax returns a “tradition” since it began as far as I can find with Nixon. To me that makes it a recent action not a tradition and it’s not “up to the people” it’s up to the individual.

    “Lock her up!”

Are you actually justifying a bad action by pointing out the same from others? Wow. I haven’t seen that since grade school when “But Billy did it too!” was the rage.

Rev.Hoagie®: {Clinton{ compromised the security of the United States for her own benefit to keep her emails from the FOIA.

The FBI investigated and found no cause for legal action.

You are aware the FBI reopened the investigation aren’t you? Beside that, I didn’t say she has been successfully prosecuted for her blatant disregard of our security, I just said she did it.

  14. Zachriel says:

Rev.Hoagie®: Are you actually justifying a bad action by pointing out the same from others?

No. We’re pointing out it’s not a leftist propensity, but a propensity of authoritarians on the left or the right.

Rev.Hoagie®: You are aware the FBI reopened the investigation aren’t you?

They have more emails to go through. So? Perhaps they are something. Perhaps they are nothing.

  15. Liam Thomas says:

So Zach did you go to college? I still have nearly every paper I wrote when I was in college….because it became part of a portfolio in job seeking. I have a Bachelors and masters in Geology. It was advised that anyone keep every paper they wrote along with a transcript of their grades and recomendation letters from their professors….All colated and combined in a career binder to be used for job interviews.

In addition my wife has a bachelors and masters in education and she too kept nearly every paper and award, collated and assembled in a binder for easy reference when interviewing….

Together we both have our college papers from our Freshmen year until we graduated.

For a Law degree…typically each college requires something similar to this::

The writing requirement: In order to graduate, a student must produce an original analytic paper of substantial length (ordinarily at least 10,000 words in length and undergoes a comment and draft process) under the supervision of a faculty member, who may augment these requirements.

Its apparent once Obama finished this that he threw it away because it most likely contained highly controversial material that would shed a bad light on the Manchurian candidate….Its what the left does….they make excuses for everything….rather then OWN anything…..

I will own my mistake in thinking Obama did not produce his Certificate of live birth before he was elected…even though for some inexplicable reason they blocked out the number on the certificate so that it could not be traced…..leading once again to the conclusion by many that it was a fraudulent Certificate because the most important aspect was blocked out.

  16. gitarcarver says:

The FBI investigated and found no cause for legal action.

    Bull.

What the FBI concluded was that they felt a prosecutor would not take on the case due to various factors.

Not going forward is not the same as “no cause for legal action.”

In fact, the Comey specifically said “To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding now.”

  17. Rev.Hoagie® says:

Rev.Hoagie®: Are you actually justifying a bad action by pointing out the same from others?

No. We’re pointing out it’s not a leftist propensity, but a propensity of authoritarians on the left or the right.

First of all, who’s “we’re”? Is there a gaggle of you guys at the keyboard? Secondly, if the last century of genocidal history of the left from National Socialists to commies the world over, leftists DO most certainly have a propensity for authoritarianism. Stalags, Gulags, concentration camps, death camps, labor camps and killing fields notwithstanding they also go in BIG for genocide. That said they didn’t invent it, they just turned it into a fowl and bloody sport.

Rev.Hoagie®: You are aware the FBI reopened the investigation aren’t you?

They have more emails to go through. So? Perhaps they are something. Perhaps they are nothing.

So ten, they HAVE reopened the investigation? If they are investigating emails what would you call it? If the IRS were investigating your taxes would you be under investigation?

  18. Rev.Hoagie® says:

Frankly Liam, I wasn’t sure about the live birth certificate, but it doesn’t matter to me since I figure if one of his parents is American then he’s American.

  19. Zachriel says:

gitarcarver: In fact, the Comey specifically said “To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding now.”

That’s right. There was no cause for legal action, but it was something that would normally be handled administratively. Comey broke protocol by discussing the issue at all.

Rev.Hoagie®: if the last century of genocidal history of the left from National Socialists to commies the world over, leftists DO most certainly have a propensity for authoritarianism.

Nearly all historians place the Nazi party on the political right.

We note you changed your position somewhat. Now it is that leftist have a propensity for authoritarianism. In fact, there are authoritarians on the left and the right.

Rev.Hoagie®: So ten, they HAVE reopened the investigation?

    So?

  20. Liam Thomas says:

Absolutely ZACH FBI director Comey is the criminal here….he should be prosecuted and the Clintons should be added to Mt. Rushmore….I agree that as long as the MSM will cover for these sleaze buckets pretty much nothing will happen and pretty much no American will have a clue what just happened to their America.

  21. Zachriel says:

Liam Thomas: Absolutely ZACH FBI director Comey is the criminal here….he should be prosecuted

Where in Heavens would you get such an idea? He violated protocol in July, for reasons he thought appropriate, and it has led to an avalanche of problems, but that is hardly a criminal act.

  22. Liam Thomas says:

    Here you go ZACH……

NEWARK, N.J. – Two former aides to Gov. Chris Christie were convicted Friday of creating an epic traffic jam at the George Washington Bridge for what prosecutors say was political revenge, capping a trial that cast doubt on Christie’s claims he knew nothing about the scheme.

Bridget Kelly, Christie’s former deputy chief of staff, and Bill Baroni, a Christie appointee to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, were found guilty of all counts against them.

The most serious charges carry up to 20 years in prison. Sentencing was scheduled for Feb. 21.

TWENTY FUKING YEARS IN PRISON FOR CLOSING A BRIDGE…….

ELECTED PRESIDENT FOR VIOLATING DOZENS OF LAWS INCLUDING THE MISHANDLING OF CLASSIFIED INFORMATION AND USING THE OFFICE OF SECRETARY OF STATE TO MAKE MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN PAY FOR PLAY……..

THIS IS MSM JUSTICE IN AMERICA FOR YOU.

Another example….a Navy man had classified pictures of the Submarine he worked on on his cell phone….PRISION….HRC mishandles 100’s of classified documents and her aides are GIVEN IMMUNITY……

Doncha just love leftist ideas of JUSTICE?

  23. Zachriel says:

Liam Thomas: THIS IS MSM JUSTICE IN AMERICA FOR YOU.

Legal justice isn’t served in the MSM, but in courts of law based on evidence. We get it. You “feel” Clinton is guilty.

truthiness, the quality of seeming or being felt to be true, even if not necessarily true.

  24. Rev.Hoagie® says:

No, legal justice is not served by the MSM, but we’ve all seen the MSM “try” someone in the media and none of us here including you Zachriel, are blind or stupid enough to try and say the MSM hasn’t recently and is not now still providing cover for Killary. You would be disingenuous if you tried. Part of those very “missing then found” emails dealt with the very subject of collusion between the MSM and the Klinton camp. The very fact it took the MSM so long to report these things to begin with then it’s reluctance to discuss it in depth should be an indication of complicity. It’s not “proof” as in a court of law, but we are not yet in a court of law and where there is smoke, over and over and over again somewhere, perhaps well hidden there is a tire fire.

  25. Zachriel says:

Rev.Hoagie®: It’s not “proof” as in a court of law, but we are not yet in a court of law and where there is smoke, over and over and over again somewhere, perhaps well hidden there is a tire fire.

There’s a difference between accusing someone of committing a crime, and accusing someone of being too cozy with money and power.

  26. drowningpuppies says:

There’s a difference between accusing someone of committing a crime, and accusing someone of being too cozy with money and power.

Yep. Bribery and inurement by the Clintons is not just “being too cozy”.

  27. gitarcarver says:

That’s right. There was no cause for legal action,……

Once again, no. There was a cause for legal action only that it was Comey’s opinion that the action (a trial) may not be successful.

……but it was something that would normally be handled administratively.

    Strike two.

The laws are in place and while an administrative penalty is appropriate in some cases, there are also criminal penalties associated with what Clinton did.

Comey broke protocol by discussing the issue at all.

    And strike three.

The FBI often announces the results of criminal investigations when the investigations are finished. There is no “protocol” at all in that announcement because once finished, the records are public and the public has the right to see what happened and why.

  28. Liam Thomas says:

TWENTY FUKING YEARS IN PRISON FOR CLOSING A BRIDGE…….

ELECTED PRESIDENT FOR VIOLATING DOZENS OF LAWS INCLUDING THE MISHANDLING OF CLASSIFIED INFORMATION AND USING THE OFFICE OF SECRETARY OF STATE TO MAKE MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN PAY FOR PLAY……..

Another example….a Navy man had classified pictures of the Submarine he worked on on his cell phone….PRISION….HRC mishandles 100’s of classified documents and her aides are GIVEN IMMUNITY……

NOT GAWD BLESS AMERICA…..GAWD DAYUM AMERICA.

  29. Liam Thomas says:

Why Zach?…we know you guys are trying desperately to get her to the house now….cause if she doesnt get there and trump does…..YOU GUYS KNOW….that 50-100 of your top clinton people are going to jail…..just like watergate….and not even top Clinton people but it will spiral into the arm of the DNC and probably even YOU ZACH will find yourself looking at the microphone of the FBI.

thats why Clinton INC is in panic mode right now on the campaign trail….even the RCP guys have altered their averages to set a ton that Hillarys ship aint sinking……

The more people like you try to defend whats obvious to a 1st grader the sweeter will be the revenge IF WE GET A PRESIDENT WHO WILL APPOINT A SPECIAL PROSECUTOR….because its pretty sure that no one on Obama’s corrupt DOJ will do it and certainly if Hillary is elected shes not going to indict herself…..

SO the panic button has been pressed……..

  30. ……but it was something that would normally be handled administratively.

Tell that to all the members of the military, intelligence agencies, etc, who’ve gone to prison for much smaller offense of mishandling classified information.

  31. Rev.Hoagie® says:

There’s a difference between accusing someone of committing a crime, and accusing someone of being too cozy with money and power.

First off, I’m accusing the pig of a crime. Second, what the hell constitutes being “too cozy with money and power” when they work for the government? I say that would be a crime.

You really got to be kidding. Or beyond redemption.

  32. Zachriel says:

drowningpuppies: Bribery and inurement by the Clintons is not just “being too cozy”.

Let us know when there is sufficient evidence for an indictment. At this point, no such evidence is publicly available.

gitarcarver: There was a cause for legal action only that it was Comey’s opinion that the action (a trial) may not be successful.

No. Comey said it would have been unequal treatment under the law, and against judicial precedent related to the statute.

gitarcarver: There is no “protocol” at all in that announcement because once finished, the records are public and the public has the right to see what happened and why.

The Department of Justice’s U.S. Attorneys Manual states that prosecutors should refrain from naming unindicted defendants, and this guideline is supported by judicial precedent.

Liam Thomas: YOU GUYS KNOW….that 50-100 of your top clinton people are going to jail

Actually, based on publicly available information, there’s no there there. If Clinton is elected president, there will be endless investigations. If Clinton is not elected president, no one will care. Of course the rumors could be true, but at this point, they’re just that, rumors.

William Teach: Tell that to all the members of the military, intelligence agencies, etc, who’ve gone to prison for much smaller offense of mishandling classified information.

That is incorrect. The FBI looked at case law and determined that prosecuting Clinton would constitute a double-standard.

Rev.Hoagie®: I’m accusing the pig of a crime.

Truthiness, the quality of seeming or being felt to be true, even if not necessarily true.

  33. Zachriel says:

Rev.Hoagie®: Second, what the hell constitutes being “too cozy with money and power” when they work for the government? I say that would be a crime.

Well, there’s your problem right there. The nexus of money and politics is as old as, well, politics. There are specific statutes in the U.S. that attempt to address the issue. Other laws have been proposed, but Republicans have resisted passage of such laws, while conservative members of the Supreme Court have voided most aspects of anything but the most direct quid pro quo. In any case, politicians raise lots of money from people who want to influence them on policy. Welcome to America!

  34. david7134 says:

Why are you all discussing anything with Zach? As best I can tell the name represents a group of college or high school kids. The name shows up in a number of conservative sites and mostly tries to engage you in conversation that is senseless. The kids are definitely not that bright, but like all liberals think they are. Mostly I think that try to get you to make statements so they can laugh at them.

  35. Liam Thomas says:

    @ZACH

We get it…Republicans get 20 years for shutting down a bridge……

    Democrats get immunity for treason………

    We get it now.

  36. Liam Thomas says:

That is incorrect. The FBI looked at case law and determined that prosecuting Clinton would constitute a double-standard.

    WE get it ZACH…..

Republicans get 20 years for shutting down a bridge

Democrats get Immunity for treason and running a crime syndicate….

    Gotcha….Understood.

  37. gitarcarver says:

The Department of Justice’s U.S. Attorneys Manual states that prosecutors should refrain from naming unindicted defendants, and this guideline is supported by judicial precedent.

    Nice try, but no.

The part of the manual you are talking about is for an active investigation. Comey’s statement was that he was closing that part of the investigation so your statement is false.

Also, there is no judicial precedent on this at all. It may be departmental, but there is no legal requirement to adhere or not adhere to that rule.

Furthermore, if you remember, the DOJ announced that they were going to investigate George Zimmerman after his not-guilty verdict in the state trial. No one on the left screamed about that announcement of an unindicted person. The same is true of the Freddie Gray officers. They were named before the City of Baltimore got a indictment and even then, the DOJ said it was investigating the cops.

As I said, nice try, but no.

  38. gitarcarver says:

That is incorrect. The FBI looked at case law and determined that prosecuting Clinton would constitute a double-standard.

The FBI did no such thing as evidenced by the statement Comey made. In fact, right after Clinton got her pass, a former Marine was convicted of sending a classified picture to an in theater commander saying that the person the commander was dealing with and trusting was a known terrorist.

Once again, you are wrong on the facts and the law.

  39. Liam Thomas says:

The Department of Justice’s U.S. Attorneys Manual states that prosecutors should refrain from naming unindicted defendants, and this guideline is supported by judicial precedent.

COMEY is now a US ATTORNEY? Gosh ZACH even you have to cover so many lies you cant get your stories straight.

In any case, politicians raise lots of money from people who want to influence them on policy. Welcome to America!

In case you havent figured it out….thats why most GOP is now supporting someone thats more Democrat than republican….time to clean up the swamp you apparently justify, swim in and enjoy sipping from daily.

Thanks Zach…your corruption defense is most enlightening to those on the fence…..Welcome to the swamp claims ZACH with a bit of glee in his eyes while once again attempting to shift the blame to Republicans….

Well in case you havent realized this……..the Trump movement is trying to get rid of them too…..!

  40. drowningpuppies says:

Let us know when there is sufficient evidence for an indictment. At this point, no such evidence is publicly available.

Zboys, now y’all living in denial or just acting stupid.

Wikileaks and the FBI are accumulating evidence daily. Even the Dallas IRS office is investigating.

    Try and keep up, fellas.

Better yet, go try and pick up some chicks and get laid.

That way you may accomplish something worthwhile in your youthful sheltered lives.

  41. Rev.Hoagie® says:

Zackriel, here’s a snippet from 20/20 that shows just a snapshot of the Kleptoklinton corruption.

    https://youtu.be/kN0ya9TLWgI

  42. Jeffery says:

Finis: Most of what conservatives believe to be true… is actually false.

Newt once famously described “truth” as just another political commodity. Our Republic is in trouble when 40& of our citizens deny objective reality.

You “believe” Secretary Clinton is uniquely dishonest as a politician, but the evidence demonstrates the opposite. You “believe” others have been severely punished for lesser crimes but fail to show what crimes she has committed. You “believe” there is widespread voter fraud. There’s a reason why the right is drawn to conspiracies as a moth to a flame. You repeatedly claim that President Obama has no past, that the Earth isn’t warming, that the Clinton Foundation spends only 6% on charity etc etc and so forth.

Most of what you believe to be true is actually false, and frankly we don’t know what can be done about it other than telling you the truth.

“Reverend Dirtbag”: Thanks for obsessively rerunning our greatest hits. We stand by every word.

We don’t care about Secretary Clinton’s damned emails. We care about the future of America, and conservative policy has been demonstrated time and again to be good for the wealthy and for corporations but bad for Americans. Conservative policy benefits the wealthy at the expense of the working classes. You cannot claim to love America but at the same time hate Americans.

Secretary Clinton was not our first (or second or third) choice but she will be better for America and all Americans than any modern conservative.

  43. Zachriel says:

david7134: As best I can tell the name represents a group of college or high school kids.

In other words, you can’t mount an actual argument.

Liam Thomas: Democrats get immunity for treason

There’s no evidence of treason. Saying so doesn’t make it so.

Liam Thomas: The part of the manual you are talking about is for an active investigation.

That is incorrect. The purpose is to remain sensitive to the privacy and reputation interests of uncharged third-parties. The courts have made clear there is no legitimate governmental interest served by allegations against uncharged individuals.

Liam Thomas: No one on the left screamed about that announcement of an unindicted person.

It is appropriate for the government to say they are not going to indict. The announcement did not condemn Zimmerman.

gitarcarver: The FBI did no such thing as evidenced by the statement Comey made.

Comey: {Charging Clinton} “would be treating somebody differently because of their celebrity status or because of some other factor that doesn’t matter. We have to treat people, the bedrock of our system of justice, we have to treat people fairly. We treat them the same based on their conduct.”

Liam Thomas: COMEY is now a US ATTORNEY?

No. Comey is a subordinate and investigative arm of the U.S. Attorney General.

Liam Thomas: your corruption defense is most enlightening to those on the fence

There are many valid criticisms of the Clintons, but made up stuff is not one of them.

drowningpuppies: Wikileaks and the FBI are accumulating evidence daily. Even the Dallas IRS office is investigating.

Perhaps, but we’ve this song before. Let us know when such evidence actually exists.

  44. Liam Thomas says:

One thing that is most telling in ZACH’s rebuttals……

The preponderance of evidence is staggering……the appearances is mindboggling…..but

    HRC HASNT BEEN INDICTED YET>>>YET>>>>YET>>>>>SO SHE IS I N N O C E N T……

And incidently you attribute a lot of stuff to things I never said….your so busy trying to cover for the biggest crime bosses in the last two centuries that you cant even get your quotes straight.

Comey is given a 10 year term SO HE IS NOT A SUBJUGATED ARM OF THE DOJ…this is precisely why they are given a 10 year term…so they dont have to play politics…..

You can keep defending the DOJ all you want…the evidence is piling up like a snow plow in a winter storm……

But do your thing ZACH….the fact you are here means the HRC and DNC IS FRANTIC………

Paralyzed with fear at losing so they can remain in power and continue with this incredibly corrupt DOJ which only gives 20 year terms to republicans while granting IMMUNITY TO DEMOCRATS

SPIN IT BABY…..IMMUNITY VS PRISON TIME…..thats not conjecture……THOSE ARE FACTS!!!

  45. gitarcarver says:

    On charging Clinton:

    Comey also made this statement:

“And that person who is handling the most sensitive information that this government can collect is not fair? It’s not fair to punish someone who did that?” Rep. Hurt asked Comey.

“Not on these facts. It would be fair if that person worked for me. It would be fair to have a robust disciplinary proceeding. It’s not fair to prosecute this person on these facts,” Comey insisted.

The problem is that what she did was not punishable by an administrative hearing for the fact that she was no longer in government and that her acts went far beyond what the hearing statute calls for.

We also now know that Hillary lied to Congress and the FBI on the deletion of emails. Both are punishable by jail time.

She is being treated differently because of her status and that is wrong.

  46. Zachriel says:

    Liam Thomas: HRC HASNT BEEN INDICTED YET>>>YET>>>>YET>>>>>SO SHE IS I N N O C E N T……

Career investigators have poured over the evidence in detail and haven’t found reason to charge Clinton. In any case, we aren’t making the claim that Clinton is innocent. Rather, we are rejecting poorly supported claims about her guilt.

Liam Thomas: And incidently you attribute a lot of stuff to things I never said

    We apologize for the misattribution.

Liam Thomas: Comey is given a 10 year term SO HE IS NOT A SUBJUGATED ARM OF THE DOJ

The Director of the FBI is an employee of the Department of Justice and his direct report is the Director of National Intelligence, and is under the supervision of the Attorney General, both of whom report to the President. The Director of the FBI serves at the pleasure of the President.

  47. Zachriel says:

gitarcarver: The problem is that what she did was not punishable by an administrative hearing for the fact that she was no longer in government and that her acts went far beyond what the hearing statute calls for.

That’s true of anybody in any job when they no longer have that job. However, in Clinton’s case, you might note that one reason Comey said he provided details in this instance is to prevent such an occurrence in the future, what he considers a valid “governmental purpose” exception to the rule about not discussing unindicted persons.

gitarcarver: We also now know that Hillary lied to Congress and the FBI on the deletion of emails.

Comey stated there was no evidence Clinton lied to the FBI. What specific lie did she tell to Congress?

  48. Liam Thomas says:

    @ZACH

    We apologize for the misattribution.

Okay I used to think you worked for HRC or the DNC……..

now your using language that would support that claim which tells me your most likely a partisan hack who lives in him moms basement…..

but that aside….here is the bottom line…….

THE FBI is in the business to investigate CRIME………WHY ARE THEY INVESTIGATING HRC and her foundation?
