Trump Is Now Playing The “I Could Lose Because The Election Is Rigged” Game

It’s really not a good thing when a candidate is signaling that he’ll lose at just under 100 days to the general election

Did you catch that?

(Politico) Donald Trump empathized with Bernie Sanders supporters on Monday, saying the Vermont senator lost the Democratic primary because the election was rigged, and said he feared the general election would be rigged as well.

“First of all, it’s rigged and I’m afraid the election is going to be rigged, to be honest. I have to be honest because I think my side was rigged,” Trump said at a campaign event in Columbus, Ohio.

Is the election rigged? Well, you can say it’s “rigged” in terms of knowing that the majority of the media will do all they can to portray Trump negatively. Even when he is not making unforced errors. When he’s not throwing the ball into triple coverage. When he’s passing the puck back to the goalie who’s already left the net. But, is it really rigged? No. Who’s going to rig it? This isn’t like the DNC where the party big shots made sure Hillary was the nominee, and the emails showed it.

Duane Patterson notes

Now I have long stated that I don’t think the outcome of the election this fall is in much doubt. Hillary could technically find a way to lose, and events could happen that cause the electorate to turn Trump’s direction, but the Trump campaign itself is just not taking the steps and staying disciplined enough on message to be a viable, winning campaign against the Democrats in November. This clip is just the latest example of that lack of messaging.

If you’re still 95 days out from the election, can someone please explain to me how justifying you’re impending loss is a winning strategy? Does he, or anyone else really believe that a ‘vote for me to stick it to the media and the establishment’ message counts as a reason, and at this point, really about the only reason, to vote for a candidate?

It seems that Trump is working to shrink his electoral wins map, rather than expanding it. If you want just one reason to vote Trump, it’s the Supreme Court. Hugh Hewitt, who’s been very much been against Trump, explains. To go with this, lower federal court appointees. But, Trump is making it oh so hard to think voting for him even matters, when he makes huge mistakes, and then starts in on conspiracy theories.

Those judges are just decimating the right-wing voter suppression tactics one after the other. It’s almost as if they want all Americans to participate. The horror.

You guys need a strong dictator who’ll rule with an iron fist! None of this judicial BS.

Your god-king Trump is just the man! He’s the only man who can fix everything!

  2. drowningpuppies says:

So providing proof that you are who you say you are is somehow suppression?

    Liberal logic.

  3. Jim O'Neil says:

Actually I think it’s great to bring up voter fraud 100 days before the election, it is a real probability and far better to try to find ways to deal with it now than after November.

Another lying muslim outed by Trump…

Grassley’s statement even noted that the program Khan celebrated on his website has posed national security risks.

    Trump is correct.

Despite its unprecedented foreign-born population (currently over 40 million), the US protects against illegal voter-registration by relying on an attestation system. Under federal law, provided one can show a driver’s license or social security number, all a non-citizen need to do if they really want to vote is check a box “confirming” they’re an eligible voter. In other words, it’s an honor system.

  6. Jeffery says:

Maybe Trump can win, nominate a justice or three and then the Repub Congress can impeach and convict him. At least Pence will not give America to Russia.

    Thanks for playing, little guy.

    Trump is correct.

Secretary Jeh Johnson issued “temporary protected status” to Syrians, saying that if they are in the U.S. as of Monday and continue to reside here permanently, they can apply for work permits and other documents to remain and live in the U.S. without fear of being ousted.

  9. Some media outlets are finally examining Trump’s business history

When will they fully investigate Hillary’s record? Will they delve deep into what the Clinton Foundation was doing? How about the pay for play while she was Secretary of State?

  10. david7134 says:

That is funny, Jeff is demonstrating Trumps business failures. Of course Jeff had his education and his business paid for by NIH grants, our tax money. Trump did not have that luxury. We have casinos in our area and what I have gathered is that the failure rate for casinos is around 80%. In other words it is a very high risk adventure. But, other than that concept, I have learned that if you want big money, you have to risk what you have, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Of course the Clintons got there money by selling government influence and secret technology and then lying about it. In other words, earning the title lyin, crooked Hillary.

  11. Jeffery says:

Maybe Secretary Clinton will release her tax returns. Oh, she has. Maybe her husband will. Oh, he has. Maybe the FBI will investigate the Clinton Foundation. Oh, they are.

When will Trumpy release his tax returns?

  12. Jeffery says:

    dave,

    Squirrel!!

My daddy wasn’t a rich and successful mogul like Donnie’s dad was. I’ve had to work for everything.

Donnie was bailed out by his daddy on multiple occasions, for millions of dollars. Donnie has bankrupted several of his companies and the taxpayer has bailed him out.

So kiss my ass you smelly old man.

  13. drowningpuppies says:

Maybe the FBI will investigate the Clinton Foundation. Oh, they are.

–that silly little guy who exaggerates often

    Oh really?
One might ask what is taking so long.

    Thanks for playing, little guy.

  14. Jeffery says:

I see the frightened little puppy keeps up about as well as his god-king Trumpelstiltskin, who spins shit out of gold.

    Thanks for playing, little puppy.

  15. Jeffery says:

The always reliable FOX reports that the IRS is investigating the foundation!

When will Trump release his tax returns?

  16. drowningpuppies says:

So if Trump is doing so badly and is such a shitty candidate and is gonna get his ass handed to him in November, then why is the little guy who exaggerates often along with the globalists and all the other progressive assholes constantly shitting themselves?

What are you sooooo afraid of little guy?

  17. Jeffery says:

Trump is not the problem. He is the logical extension of soul-sick conservatism. For the first time the GOP has nominated a candidate who embraces the misogyny, racism and xenophobia that is at the core of conservatism. It’s just they’ve felt forced to hide it ’cause PC. He is about 7% behind the weakest Dem candidate since Dukakis – and Secretary Clinton has much higher negatives. Trump could actually win and destroy the nation!

Trump is not the problem. The problem is that his soul-sick hatred appeals to 35-40% of the population.

Fortunately it looks as if the national media, the globalists, the conventional GOP and many decent Americans have finally started to take him and the far-right seriously. The Clinton Machine will continue to leak tidbits about his extraordinarily vile life.

It’s on tape that Trump tried to force Marla Maples to abort the fetus that is now Tiffany Trump. Nice guy.

It’s clear you’ve become more anal than oral lately. Has Donnie Little Dick flipped you over? Do you like it? Has he shown YOU his tax returns?

  18. Liam Thomas says:

When will Trump release his tax returns?

An even more pertinent question is

    W H E N will OBAMA….RELEASE ANYTHING…..

The man obviously has accomplished nothing in his lifetime or else he would have released many papers written. After all he was a law professor who shoulda/woulda/coulda written at LEAST ONE PAPER…..

How about his former friends…..Havent heard a word out of them except for Radical Bill Ayers and a preacher who proclaims god damn america.

We all know Hillary and Trunp are crooks….hell that goes without saying…. But then neither one of them profess to be saints….much like Obama who was placed on a perch and proclaimed GOD by the left and has ruled as such since day one…..

The most transparent admin in history? No just another power hungry Idealogue who refuses to play by the rules….Like the donald and the hillary.

  19. Jeffery says:

    Liam,

    Squirrel!!

But why won’t Trump release HIS tax returns? Obama is on his way out, and I’m pretty sure he released his tax returns. Now Trump wants to be our President. Why won’t he release HIS tax returns like other candidates have in the past?

It’s clear why, isn’t it? He has much, much less money than he claims. He doesn’t pay as much federal tax as the waitresses he looks down his nose at. He has questionable involvements with foreigners, especially Russians.

It’s simple. Releasing his tax returns is more politically damaging than hiding them.

Since Obama is so horrible, are you surprised he hasn’t leaked (via the IRS) Trump’s returns? If the situation were reversed you know Trump would leak Obama’s documents.

  20. Jeffery says:

Trump said he’s always wanted a Purple Heart!

    Worst. Person. Ever.

  21. Jeffery says:

Latest: RNC is negotiating with Trump concerning Trump’s stepping down. The RNC would then appoint a candidate by September.

    Kasich? Pence?

Good job, GOP primary voters… good job…

  22. Jeffery says:

We don’t blame Trump. We all know him as a manipulative opportunist interested only in himself.

The Trump affair exposes the American monster that is the far-right, created and nurtured by the GOP, and now out of control. They thought they could control their Frankentrump monster.

Trump is the collective expression of the dreams of the extreme right. Ban them muzzies, law and order them Negroes, deport them illegals, make them fags hide, make America white and christian again…

Decent America is aghast and pushing back.

  23. formwiz says:

How do you think President Pissy got a second term?

    It wasn’t his accomplishments.

If people show up to the polls with their smartphones on, maybe we’ll catch some of it.

Then, when they try to sweep it under the rug like 4 years ago, some Hell will be raised.

–that wacky little guy who exaggerates often living in his oh so scary fantasy world

    Here’s a cookie, little guy.

  25. Jeffery says:

Judge Curiel just ruled that the Trumpster will face civil trial for fraud and racketeering for his sham Trump U.

Doesn’t look good for The Donald.
