Thank Goodness, We Finally Have An Anthem For “Climate Deniers”

Instead of providing factual, scientific proof, using the Scientific Method, which would convince Skeptics that everything that is happening is caused mostly/solely by Mankind’s release of “carbon pollution”, this is what they focus on

In 1985, a group of international superstars gathered together to record an iconic anthem that changed the way that the arts and activism engaged with each other. At the behest of legendary vocalist (and activist) Harry Belafonte, Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie wrote a single that was then performed by a host of the world’s top entertainers.

That song was, of course, We Are The World, and it ended up selling more than 20 million copies and raising some $63 million for humanitarian aid in both Africa and the US.

And now we have the opportunity to witness yet another epic musical project, but this time, the superstars are not compassionately raising money and awareness for famine victims, but are instead bringing a really important message from the Koch brothers to the people. That message, you’ll be happy to hear, is that we’re all good, and you really can’t trust those pesky climate scientists to know what they’re talking about.

It’s the single we’ve all been waiting for: The Climate Change Deniers’ Anthem.

They’re so cute at that age.

Say, how much carbon pollution does Funny Or Die create through their massive used of energy?

Perhaps you can and will tell me. What factual, scientific proof, using the scientific method would, convince a “skeptic” such as yourself that the current rapid warming is caused mostly/solely by mankind’s release of carbon pollution? And why?

Why don’t you look for it yourself?
    It’s out there.
Or, like most little leftists, do you want someone else to do the work for you?

  3. Jeffery says:

William should be able to answer the simple question for himself.

Well, first of all one could have the satellite record and the land record match. Second, stop all the “adjusting” to the land based temps. Third, measure more of the earth’s surface than the 50% or so that’s being measure now-hardly any sensors in Greenland or Antarctica. Fourth-stop trying to suppress discussion on the topic. If you have the facts, no need to silence anyone. Five-explain the MWP. How could it be warmer or as warm as it is now. Six-prove how much of alleged warming is natural and how much man-made. Seven-stop using faulty “models”. That’s off the top of my head but there’s many, many more. But the even bigger one in my mind is having the alarmists prove that warming, no matter what the cause, would be dangerous to human existence. Then, even if that could be done, the alamists would have to prove that we couldn’t adapt to said dangerous changes. Good luck

Explain why both Cooling is a sign of AGW and Warming is a sign of AGW and then what would you take as a valid indicator of AGC?

Oh and DAMN those are some thighs!

  7. Jeffery says:

    Rob,

Global warming refers to the increase in the global average temperature. In other words, the Earth is accumulating heat in the atmosphere, land and oceans. But obviously this overall heating is not uniform, e.g., the Arctic is warming more rapidly than the rest of the Earth. It doesn’t mean that winters or snow are over.

    The Earth is not cooling.

  8. Rob in Katy says:

Well then, I am not worried. Can’t till a field under 3 foot of ice. Pretty much everything else can be managed and, if I remember, the African desert was a lush tropical land during the last warming period. I guess we are good. Carry On.

  9. Jeffery says:

Almost every educated person in the world disagrees with your sanguine assessment. Carry on.

  10. John says:

In a poll done for the League of Conservation in 2013 53% of those self identified as Republicans used words like “crazy out of touch ignorant” to describe climate change deniers
This was in the age group 18-35
Teach you are no longer cool !

I’m pretty much loving this global warming! It’s the 13th of December, and it’s 62º F here in the Poconos. I’m not burning any heating oil right now, I don’t have the wood stove going, and there’s no ice or snow on the ground. This is working out pretty well as far as I can see!

I have a 550+ yd³ bridge deck to pour on Tuesday. The normal low for this area at this time of year is 28º F, but the forecast is for lows in the mid 40s with highs in the mid 50s. That means we won’t be fighting frozen materials, and we will be able to use less hot water in the mix, burning less heating oil at the plant as well. This is a win all the way around as far as I am concerned.

  12. Jeffery says:

    Dana,

Yes, I’m sure the world is happy that it’s good for you today in the Poconos. Unfortunately, the outlook is not so rosy for a few billion other world citizens. But the main concern should be your comfort.

Since it’s so nice in the Poconos now, we start sending our climate refugees your way. Lock and load, the great unwashed are headed your way.
