Trump Spars With Rude Univision Reporter, Kicks Him Out, Lets Him Back In

Did you catch this?

(CNN) Jorge Ramos, the Univision anchor and journalist, extensively squabbled with Donald Trump twice in testy exchanges at a news conference before his rally here in Dubuque, with a security officer at one point ejecting Ramos from the event.

“Go back to Univision,” Trump told Ramos early in their first back-and-forth. Ramos had attempted to engage with Trump on his positions though he had not been called upon, standing and lobbing concerns about Trump’s plan at the candidate.

“Sit down. Sit down. Sit down,” Trump said.

Ramos started his schtick immediately at the start of the press conference, and hadn’t been called on. Trump asked him to wait his turn, giving Ramos a chance to be civil. Ramos wasn’t, so, he was escorted out. He was later allowed back in, and Trump engaged him for a goodly chunk of time. Via Twitchy, we get this nice, long video

Trump went on to kick Ramos’s butt afterwards, during the time he allowed Ramos to ask questions.

Meanwhile, the press was chided for not walking out on Trump. And Patterico notes that the media and Democrats are making this out to be a SCANDAL! Liberals are Very Upset. Because only Trump would do something like this!

President Barack Obama has faced his share of hecklers in the past seven years, but Wednesday he took on one at a gay pride month reception at the White House, scolding the protester for being disrespectful “in my house.”

The heckler had interrupted Obama’s remarks by protesting the detention and deportation of gay, lesbian and transgender immigrants.

Obama gave the person a chance to be civil, then had them escorted out. Where was the national outcry? Nor was this the first time. He’s had hecklers escorted out numerous times. Where was the national outcry over Hillary roping reporters in?

At first I thought it was nuts to like Trump. But now that he is showing to be more of a man than a politician, he is beginning to make me lean in his direction. I could just see any of the other candidates in this situation, they would have folded like a house of cards.

    Trump to Jorge:

“You said we can’t throw 11M illegals out right before you screamed that you had the right to stand there and yell at me right before YOU were thrown out of the room. So it can be done, one at a time.”

    Now THAT would’ve been cool.

  3. Hank_M says:

Yet another reason to like Trump.

And at least he didn’t lock the reporter in a closet the way Biden did in 2011.

Loved it when Trump asked Jorge:

“Do you know how much I’m suing Univision for? No, you should since you’re a reporter. Here, I’ll tell you, 500 million.”

  7. Jeffery says:

Your hero, grand-whizzer David Duke, supports Trump! Makes sense to me.

To paraphrase a Nobel Laureate in Economics: Donald Trump is a belligerent racist, with no regard for working people, and is therefore the perfect embodiment of current Republicanism.

It’s always upsetting to tycoons and generals when people don’t do what they say. “Sit down and shut up you beaner!” It’s why they’re not good a compromise.

“Sit down, you Mexican!” Then he had his personal bodyguard assault the reporter.

It’s Trump’s belligerence that right-wing authoritarian followers love the most!

He favors abortion – no problem.
Family values? – are you kidding me, lol.
He may be a Democrat – big deal.
He is a religious agnostic – so what?
    He’s bankrupted several companies – it’s OK.
He supports universal healthcare – we can live with that.
    He’s a narcissist – it’s OK for a Republican.

His positive traits for RWAs? He badmouths Mexicans and liberals and is rich.

Lil’ jeffy providing an example of stage 4 and 5 of lib/prog discussion.

    4. Blame Conservatives for bringing the truth to light. How dare they do dat!!!!

    5. Concoct strange defenses based on wild psychological discourse, which no one understands, including the writer, but it sounds good, and allows a liberal/progressive to say there is no problem.

Okay, I’ll sit back and wait for the other six.

  10. So, Jeff, are you going to take Obama to task, call him and his supporters names in regards to kicking the activist out? Which wasn’t that long ago.

Lest you forget, the Dems had Robert KKK Byrd in the Senate, and lionized him.

J-“Trump is a belligerent racist with no regard for working people.” No, he’s not J, and I’ll bet whatever reason you could give on why he is one would be shot down in seconds, which is typical of your rants here. Anyway, so a guy who wants to keep illegals out so they don’t take jobs from working people has “no regard for working people”? Liberal “logic” at it’s finest. “Sit down you Mexican.” Show us wherever that was said, J.

  16. Deserttrek says:

yup .. in the j’s world the abuse and murder of children is just fine … i think they want fodder for planned parenthood, that and field workers to pick the lettuce for their bologna sandwiches

  17. Jeffery says:

C’mon, Donnie’s appeal is that he “gives it” to those liberals, the other guys, the illegals etc. His belligerence is the biggest part of his appeal to the base. Everybody else is “stupid”, “boring” and “rapists”. And of course he’s an unabashed, unapologetic racist – Mexico is sending their rapists here!

There’s no evidence that the undocumented are taking your jobs. It’s just typical conservative “logic”, where “feelings” and “belief” Trump evidence. To increase the bottom line, Donnie hires lower paid immigrants (actually recruits them!) to work in his businesses.

He’s not going to repeal Obamacare or the Iran deal, he won’t go after abortionists, and on and on. His appeal to the RWAs is his belligerence and his promise deport Mexicans. Period.

The reporter yesterday was the first to ask him any tough questions. Our “infotainment” industry loves him.

“Hey Donnie. When you deport the illegal parents of a 6 month old American citizens, what happens to the baby?”

“Sit down. I said, sit down, wetback!”

  18. Jeffery says:

I am against the abuse and murder of children, but I support a woman’s right to choose.

Do you mean to say that you think abortion is murder? It’s clearly not and you don’t believe it is or you’re the world’s biggest hypocrite for letting it go on.

  19. Jeffery says:

This morning I saw Donald say he wants to raise taxes on the super wealthy, e.g., hedge fund managers. Agree?

He also said invading and occupying Iraq was an obvious mistake. Agree?

  20. Jeffery says:

    “Get out of my country!”

While Ramos was waiting to be let back inside, a man wearing a Donald Trump sticker approached Ramos in the area outside the press conference to tell him,

“This is not about you. Get out of my country.”

Mr. Ramos is a US citizen.

  21. Hank_M says:

    Re: Jeffery comment 13….

So what? Vester Flanagan was an Obama supporter.

And earlier you stated that Ramos was the “first to ask [Trump] any tough questions.”

That statement is flat out incorrect.

Try to keep up although I suspect that’s rather difficult for you.

  22. Jeffery says:

And once again Donald didn’t answer anything. How will he deport 10-15 million? How will he seal the border? What about the “anchor babies”? Since they’re citizens, he can’t deport them for the supposed sins of their parents. When he deports the parents, what happens to the “anchor babies”?

    Why won’t Donnie answer them?

  23. Hank_M says:

Maybe Trump should have locked him in a closet like Biden did.
Or rope him off the way Hillary does.
Or simple refuse to meet with the press the way Barry does.

  24. drowningpuppies says:

How will he deport 10-15 million?
    One at a time.

How will he seal the border?
    With a fence.

    What about the “anchor babies”?
Sell ’em for body parts. That should keep the leftys happy.

  25. Jeffery says:

Your answers are even dumber than Donnie’s.

His supporters don’t care about his policy positions, only that they perceive him to be a tough guy.

This tells us all we need to know about the new conservatives. It’s a cult of personality.
