Um, surprise?
(Fox News) Almost 250,000 Colorado residents have or will have their health insurance plans cancelled under ObamaCare, the state’s Division of Insurance said Wednesday.
A spokesman for the agency said in a press release that the plans are being cancelled for numerous reasons, one being that some of the plans do not meet the new requirements for patient care under the Affordable Care Act.
The agency stated that so far under ObamaCare, 106,083 people in the individual market have lost their plans and 143,116 people in the small group market have lost theirs.
Fortunately, Delaware signed up 4 people.
So: Alabama (87,000), Alaska (5,400), California (279,000), Florida (300,000), Kansas (20,000), Kentucky (280,000), Michigan (140,000), Minnesota (146,000), Montana (20,000), New Jersey (800,000), New York (100,000), Oregon (150,000), Wyoming and (2,600), Pennsylvania (64,000), Washington (266,000), Wisconsin (9,000 – Madison only), District of Columbia (76,000 – Washington D.C. metropolitan area, includes Maryland and Virginia), Colorado (250,000)
A friend of mine informed us that her small business just received a letter of cancellation from the insurance company they were using. She says that they LOVED their plan and it afforded them the ability to help insure their employees. She would not be mandated to insure them, it is a small company, but it helped them get better employees, and they tended to stick around! She is a wreck, and is lashing out at anyone who voted for the joke in office. She is now scrambling to find new insurance and hope to be able to continue to insure her people, but doesn’t know if she can even do that under Ocare.
This law is the biggest mess ever seen in this country. We warned that it would take down the best healthcare system in the world. But even I didn’t foresee insured people getting booted off their perfectly good plans. It will be their undoing in the next elections.
A friend of mine owns a snow removal company in Colorado.
A few weeks ago they started getting calls from locations that were looking for snow removal this coming year. This was odd as contracts for snow removal are usually completed months earlier.
It turns out that one of their competitors ran afoul of the ACA and let 3/4 of their staff go and reduced the hours of the others to 30 hours a week.
They simply cannot handle the work load they handled last year. They legally voided contracts and walked away.
This left companies scrambling for snow removal. Because of the cost of starting a snow removal company, no new company can pick up the slack in time for the season. Companies are now looking to pay more for the same service and that cost will be passed onto consumers.
The point being that not only are there effects of the wrongly named ACA within the insurance industry, there are effects elsewhere in the economy that will affect consumers with higher prices.

The ACA has been a blanket on the economy for the last 3 years. We are pumping $85 billion into the system every month and nothing has happened with jobs or any measurable aspect of improvement in the depression we are in. Within a short period, that money will begin to produce significant inflation. I think that the only reason inflation has not occurred is secondary to the low cost of labor as a result of economic conditions, this will change. The fact is that the economy is not going to improve with Obamacare in place and as it takes effect will further drag us down.
I lost a good insurance policy secondary to Obama, but have been able to pick up one that is a poor substitute. I know that many of my patients are in trouble and can not get what they need. The Republicans need to consider impeachment.

I have heard the cries for impeachment for years and I always ask the following:
“What would be the basis for impeachment?”
This one is fairly simple this time. Obama pissed away over $500 million for nothing. He is accountable, I believe the term is malfeasance or fraud, take your pick. The fact is that if your local prosecutor desires, he can convict you of anything, same here.

I am not sure that any fraud statute would fit a Obama himself was not enriched. I can’t see how “malfeasance” would apply here as that is not a criminal charge (required for impeachment).
That being said, I understand what you are saying and appreciate the response.
Exactly what did Richard Nixon and Andrew Johnson do to get a trial for impeachment? Nothing, they were just unpopular at the time. That is all it takes.

Articles of Impeachment against Nixon included charges of crimes that an average person would and could have been charged with. Conspiracy of theft, IRS violations, lying to the FBI, etc were all in the impeachment articles. You can read them here if you like:

The Articles make charges that Johnson violated laws that applied to the President and other members of the Government. Those laws, by their very nature, would not have applied to ordinary citizens.
The point being that both Nixon and Johnson were accused of actual crimes – not just merely being disliked.
Obama has been very adept in insulating himself from any direct link to illegal activities. Until a link is proven or shown, the question of “what illegal activities Obama has committed in order to meet the Constitutional provision of ‘high crimes and misdemeanors’?” still remains.
