Excitable Bev Perdue Smears North Carolina, Mississippi

Is it any surprise Bev decided that she had no chance in winning re-election?

(Raleigh N&O) Passage of a constitutional amendment defining marriage as solely between a man and a woman makes North Carolina “look like Mississippi,” Gov. Beverly Perdue said Friday.

The chairman of the Mississippi GOP said Perdue was out of touch with voters, while that state’s governor called the comments disappointing and said he would write Perdue a letter telling her so.

“I think it’s wrong for North Carolina, clearly and simply,” the governor said.

“People around the country are watching us and they’re really confused, to have been such a progressive, forward-thinking, economically driven state that invested in education and that stood up for the civil rights of people, including the civil rights marches back in the ’50’s and ’60’s and ’70’s,” Perdue said.

“Folks are saying what in the world is going on in North Carolina. We look like Mississippi.”

Under Bev’s leadership, unemployment in North Carolina has been some of the worst in the country. Her policies led to the GOP taking over majority control of both parts of the General Assembly for the first time in 110 years. Education is so-so. I’m sure the NC Democrat Party isn’t really thrilled that Bev has chosen to insult the 60+% of North Carolinians who voted in favor of Amendment 1.

Remember, Bev is also the one who “joked” about suspending the 2012 elections. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, Bev.

I love how the Left see anything that is not in their political realm as being incomprehensible. I on the right, understand the left and can see why they think the way they do. I don’t agree with it and view their motives and outcomes and dangerous to society and personal freedoms.

However, I don’t claim that those on the left are brainwashed and must be controlled and led to the right path. I know the people on the left are self-deluded and have chosen their path like we on the right have done through life-experiences, education, and research.

Was discussing the economy with my liberal co-worker. He stated that he viewed Pres GWBush’s signing of TARP as the bravest thing he ever did and that he refused to be cowed by the right-wing establishment. He thanked Bush for standing up for America and signing that bill. He then went on to exclaim the virtues of the Trillions that Obama has spent over and above the budget.

I say, yeah, and am sure your kids will be thankful as well when they are paying exhorbitant higher tax rates to pay off this increased debt. He said, he doesn’t believe that will happen.

He’s a true believer. He honestly believes that gov’t control and spending beyond anyone’s means is beneficial, desirable, and necessary.

It is just the way he is. I don’t blame others or his party for the way he thinks. (Sidenote – he is a Network Security Administrator and he REALLY loves his job)
