TLF: God? There’s A Process Server At Pearly Gate One

Only in Liberal World (h/t HHowie)

Nebraska Democratic State Senator Ernie Chambers has decided to go straight to the top in an effort to stop natural disasters from befalling the world.

Chambers filed a lawsuit against God in Douglas County Court Friday afternoon, KPTM Fox 42 reported.

The suit asks for a "permanent injunction ordering Defendant to cease certain harmful activities and the making of terroristic threats."

Chambers also cites that the, "defendant directly and proximately has caused, inter alia, fearsome floods, egregious earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornados, pestilential plagues…"

He says he is doing this to make a point about fighting "possible laws restricting the filing of frivolous lawsuits." So, not only does he want to sue God, but, he wants to allow frivolous lawsuits. Wouldn’t it be really funny if God decided to show up?

N THE BEGINNING, GOD CREATED HEAVEN AND EARTH…

He was then faced with a class action lawsuit for failing to file an environmental impact statement from HEPA (Heavenly Environmental Protection Agency), an angelically staffed agency dedicated to keeping the universe pollution free.

Sorry, an oldy but goody. I believe that God has a good sense of humor. Otherwise, why invent sea lions, the platypus, and Liberals? Read the rest of the joke here.

To answer the lawsuit, it would be amusing if there was a little smoting by the big guy upstairs. But, whatever the outcome, it is just another waste of taxpayers’ money by a malcontent, activist politician. Nice going electing this goof, Nebraska.
