And a good start of the work week to all. Everyone needs a beer today

I really do not like that commercial. It is gratuitous violence for the sake of gratuitous violence. However, it fits this post perfect, as that is what the Democrats are doing in Congress
A House vote on Iraq this week will be limited to the question of supporting President Bush's troop escalation, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said Sunday.
Hoyer's comment drew a vehement objection from House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, who said House Democrats had promised to allow a vote this week on a Republican alternative opposing a cutoff of money for the war.
Hoyer, D-Md., said such a vote would occur later.
"Live up to your word," Boehner told Hoyer. Democrats, Boehner said, "won't even let us have a substitute. … Give us a vote this week."
Looks like the Defeatocrats just hit the GOP in the head with a rock. Of course, anyone who thought that the Dems would keep a promise must be drunk. I'd be surprised if they let any of the GOP legislation that supports the Iraq War and our troops to reach the floor, especially if aims to make sure the funding is not cut off, ala Vietnam.
What will happen is that the Representatives from the Left will be ponificating on the war, mostly all with the same talking points. It will be interesting to see who deviates and pulls a Dick Durbin, slurring the troops. Since Dingy Harry has enlisted (Never)MoveOn, there is a distinct possibility.
And, of surrender?
At the same time, pressure has been building. War critics have told Reid they want to use anti-terrorism legislation that is expected on the Senate floor in March as a way of forcing votes on proposals to end the war. (I told ya they would pull this many times prior to the midterm elections)
Murtha said it is possible the bill will also call for the closing of the facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, except in the case of several dozen detainees who will stand trial. (and put the enemy combatants caught on the battlefields of Afghanistan wearing no uniforms where, exactly, Murtha Monkey?)
More than a dozen such measures (on ending the war prematurely) are competing for notice as Congress moves deeper into its war debate; virtually all make the safety of the troops a priority.
Doesn't surprise me at all. Surrender is what Democrats do best. Well, fourth. Abortion on demand, raising taxes, and lieing come before surrender.
