Would this qualify as being part of the "culture of corruption?"
The office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is pressing the Bush administration for routine access to military aircraft for domestic flights, such as trips back to her San Francisco district, according to sources familiar with the discussions.
The sources, who include those in Congress and in the administration, said the Democrat is seeking regular military flights not only for herself and her staff, but also for relatives and for other members of the California delegation. A knowledgeable source called the request "carte blanche for an aircraft any time."
"They are pressing the point of her succession and that the [Department of Defense] needs to play ball with the speaker's needs," one source said. The request originally went to the Pentagon, which then asked the White House to weigh in.
I wasn't aware that the military was in place to give Pelosi and her family free flights. Sure, the military flights were going that way anyhow, and are used to fly government officials on official business, but, does that give her the right to inappropriately pressure the Bush administration to give her complete access for whatever?
I guess we are starting to see what her definition of corruption and ethics are, following on the heels of the minimum wage as it applies to Samoa scandal, which, of course, the left leaning media has ignored.

I thought that her radical blue state constituents just have to pop a few Good And Fruity ‘candies’ and play some old Steppenwolf 8-track tunes before they mount up on their magic carpets so they could fly the friendly skies on White Rabbit Airlines! If she gets her wish, the USAF aircrew personnel will probably have to discard their military uniforms and wear sandals, robes and headbands.
