IAEA Says House Report “Dishonest”

The U.N., of which the United States provides a pretty large portion of their operating income, has a problem with a House of Representatives report

A recent House of Representatives committee report on Iran's nuclear capability is "outrageous and dishonest" in trying to make a case that Tehran's program is geared toward making weapons, a senior official of the U.N. nuclear watchdog has said.

The letter, obtained by The Associated Press on Thursday outside a 35-nation board meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency, says the report is false in saying Iran is making weapons-grade uranium at an experimental enrichment site, when it has in fact produced material only in small quantities that is far below the level that can be used in nuclear arms.

Besides the fact that the original report is causing the usual suspects to Blame Bush and say that Bush is being smacked around, there might be other facts out there, another side to the story. And, if you get to the end of the story, you might get them

Jamal Ware, a spokesman for the House committee, confirmed they had received the letter and said the chairman had referred it to Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., and Rep. Rush Hold, D-N.J. They will review it and issue a formal response if necessary, he said.

"All IAEA complains about is a photo caption. If you read the report, it's very clear that what it is saying is that Iran is working to develop the capability to enrich uranium to weapons grade, not that they have done so," Ware said. "They use a string of adjectives, while not pointing to any substantive criticism of the report. There are areas where we would disagree with them. A disagreement does not make what we say erroneous."

Ah, so there is another side, and a very interesting one. But, since it is near the end, lots of people, especially with BDS, will not read that far. That is the nature of the news, especially on-line, where people read the first 3 to 4 paragraphs, then skim.

The UN does what any good progressive and/or America hater does: argue by invective. I wonder if they could tell us what the point of a nuclear reactor that is optimized to produce weapons grade material is for in a country that has enormous amounts of oil to use for power needs.

Now, as a member (for the moment) of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, other countries are obligated to help Iran with creating a nuclear energy plant if that is what they want, as long as it is not producing nuclear weapons materials. But, there is no need to listen to anyone but Iran, who state they want nuclear weapons. They have stated that they want to use them against Israel. People (read liberals) do not seem to understand that while they constantly say things they do not mean, others actually do say what they mean.

Jeepers. Who do I believe … a Un Agency or the US Congress? Un Agency? US Congress? Hmmm ….

What’s Jimmuh Carter have to say? Heheheeee!

  2. If you are liberal, you side with the U.N. Despite the OFF Scandal, Rwanda massacre, sex and drugs parties with underage children by UN employees, sexual harrasment, pandering to brutal dictators, and rampant anti-American attitudes in the UN, they must be right, right?
