Surrender Monkeys Lie

So, on H Res 571 Roll Call 608, on "Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the deployment of United States forces in Iraq be terminated immediately" we ended with 403 Nay’s (I like that better then Noes) and 3 Ayes. The breakdown:

  • Democrats: Nays: 187 Ayes: 3
  • GOP: Nays: 215 Ayes: 0

So, we know that there have to be at least 180 lying Surrender Monkey dems, who didn’t have the cajones to vote what they really thought. Even Murtha, after making lots of whiny speeches on the floor last night, voted Nay.

The Ayes? McKinney (there’s a surprise, huh?), Serrano, and Wexler.

Rep Jack Kingston put it best: "We’ll put it to a vote, see if Democrats really want immediate withdrawal. Their hate for George Bush is so great they don’t seem to care about the ramifications of reckless statements."

Now, what tactics will the Surrender Monkeys take in criticizing the war? I’m sure they will find something to continue their support for surrender, despite the vote.

Quick update: Captain Ed writes

8:44 CT – It’s been 203-203 for the last couple of minutes — which would, I believe, equate to a motion failure.

8:52 – The House finally voted to continue to the actual point, despite the vote from every single Democrat to run away from it. If nothing else does it, this shows the Democrats as political cowards as well as military incompetents. Why should we trust the leadership of the military to a group of people who run away from merely taking a vote?

Cause, like potato bugs, Dems do not like their shenanigans out in the light. Read the rest.
