I started to add this to my post about the London bombings, but I thought it deserved to face the moonlight by itself:
This horrific terrorist attack reminds us again that our focus must be to
apprehend terrorists all around the world and do much more to protect the
American people by improving security in our transit systems, at our nuclear
power plants, at our landmarks, and at our ports.I send my deepest sympathies to our British friends, and I will do all I can
to refocus our attention on our united goal after 9/11: to capture those
responsible for these inhumane acts of terrorism. (emphasis mine, of course)

I still wonder if lunatics like this really don’t get it, or if they simple don’t WANT to get it.
This is a damn religious war, whether they admit it or not — it’s not some punks that need to be arrested and rehabilitated!
I almost think that at this point, after so long of pretending to not get it to oppose Bush, folks like Boxer truly do not get it for real.
