Trackback Friday Featuring The Surrender Monkey: GOP Surrender Lobby

Happy Friday to all! It's that time of the week again! Do you have an interesting post you want to share with everyone? The official Surrender Monkey of the Democratic Party says to do what the Lefties don’t, since they all have the same talking points: link it!

Another week, another Republicritter turning surrender monkey

Mr. Speaker, the Iraq War is the central issue of our time. We’re spending $2 billion a week, and losing 100 American lives a month. Under these conditions, I feel I owe my constituents my best judgment.

Interjecting more young American troops into the cross hairs of an Iraqi civil war is simply not the right approach. If the President sends these troops anyway, I will support their funding 100% so they have the bullets and equipment they need to defend themselves. (snip)

Mr. Speaker, sending more young American troops into the middle of Iraqi civil war violence is not the answer. I will support the troops’ funding 100%. But we are not going to solve an Iraqi political problem with an American military solution. And that’s my best judgment.

That was Representative Ric Keller (R-Fla), speaking on the House floor in favor of the Democrats Surrender In Iraq nonbinding resolution. What else is there to say? Just another Republican who does not stand for Conservative principles, as well as saying what is politically expedient, rather then what is right.

Me, I am pretty pissed off at President Bush over his illegal immigration stances, and failure to address the jailed border agents, but, I am not going to let that affect my decision to support my country and our troops, as they fight, bleed, and die to make the world a better place.

Over at the Victory Caucus, there is a list of more GOP Surrender Monkeys, also called the White Flag Republicans. I'm sorry to say that two of the names are from North Carolina, Walter B. Jones and Howard Coble. Time to call and say hello. While I appreciate Jones supporting a pardon for the two border agents, I do not appreciate his surrender stance.

PS: In regard to the upcoming vote, Bush stated

"This may become the first time in the history of the United States Congress that it has voted to send a new commander into battle and then voted to oppose his plan that is necessary to succeed in that battle," the president said.
