Democrat Platform Super Enthused To Prosecute Climate Skeptics

The Democratic Party platform is going to be a doozy of hardcore Progressivism, as one can expect

(Daily Caller) Democratic operatives responsible for creating their party’s platform this year have unanimously adopted a provision calling for the Department of Justice to investigate companies who disagree with Democrats on global warming science.

A panel of Democrats voted Friday to approve a final draft of the party’s platform to promote “Progressive Democratic Values,” which apparently includes investigating energy companies who “misled” shareholders about global warming.

“Another joint proposal calling on the Department of Justice to investigate alleged corporate fraud on the part of fossil fuel companies who have reportedly misled shareholders and the public on the scientific reality of climate change was also adopted by unanimous consent,”according to the Democratic National Convention’s website.

The drafting committee, led by DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings, has decided to back ongoing investigations by mostly Democratic state attorneys general into ExxonMobil’s stance on global warming.

In other words, this is all politically motivated, pushed by people who won’t give up their own use of fossil fuels, often refuse to give up the fossil fuels companies donations, and surely have fossil fuels in their own portfolios. They’re excited to use the power of Government to intimidate, harass, and prosecute people and companies for daring to have Wrongthink. And that’s what this is, because the investigations have been fishing expeditions based on nothing more than supposition. There has to be some bit of proof that there was actual fraud, not a difference of opinion. We still have a Constitution, no matter how much Democrats would like to do away with the protections afforded to the Citizens.

It will be interesting to see how this is written once the full final draft is released. The hand of Bernie Sanders and his people is strong in helping to draft the platform, so let’s not forget that his plan specifically states “Bring climate deniers to justice so we can aggressively tackle climate change.” This is not focused just on fossil fuels companies, so the appearance here is that the Government will come after anyone who dares hold an opinion contradictory to the Cult of Climastrology.

The platform itself, as the draft highlights show, is a hotbed of Big Big Government, and even pushes for Universal Health Care and more open borders, along with making sure an abortion is easy to get.

In other words… that’s a typical construct for lying conservabloggers like Teach.

In the actual words in the draft document:

Another joint proposal calling on the Department of Justice to investigate alleged corporate fraud on the part of fossil fuel companies who have reportedly misled shareholders and the public on the scientific reality of climate change was also adopted by unanimous consent.

Why do you support corporate fraud? Conservatives defend any and everything any corporation does – it’s almost like a cult or a religion.

Regarding abortion, the Supreme Court just dealt the anti-woman caucus a knockout punch.

Teach since the AGs have begun to talk about posible fraud and RICO statues being broken Exxon has changed their website a bit

Our position on climate change
We have the same concerns as people everywhere – and that is how to provide the world with the energy it needs while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The risk of climate change is clear and the risk warrants action. Increasing carbon emissions in the atmosphere are having a warming effect. There is a broad scientific and policy consensus that action must be taken to further quantify and assess the risks.

ExxonMobil is taking action by reducing greenhouse gas emissions in its operations, helping consumers reduce their emissions, supporting research that leads to technology breakthroughs and participating in constructive dialogue on policy options.

Addressing climate change, providing economic opportunity and lifting billions out of poverty are complex and interrelated issues requiring complex solutions. There is a consensus that comprehensive strategies are needed to respond to these risks.

Speaking of ‘science’…

Leading climate doomsayer Michael Mann recently downplayed the importance of climate change science, telling Democrats that data and models “increasingly are unnecessary” because the impact is obvious.

Yep, we can’t manipulate the data enough to prove AGW soooo… watch television.

So it means we can prosecute any Glo-Bull warming proponents who mislead with computer models that have been proven so very wrong….

Well, since there is not constitution, or a Bill of god-given rights that no man can take away, there is no such thing as free speech. Thus, you must have the same thoughts and push the same agenda as the group think. Or else. What? You think you were allotted that brain to think for yourself? the group-think thought holders must approve of your thoughts before you can share them.

https://youtu.be/3GkwKc7StvA you’re right to free speech is limited to what The Group thinks is ok for you to have. Even the police will help enforce your right to be forced to conform.

(the police let the attackers go)
