On North Korea: Missing the point

With a common voice and conciliatory words, President Bush and South Korean President Roh Moo Hyun expressed hope Friday that they can diplomatically persuade North Korea to forfeit its nuclear weaponry.

During this whole issue, which goes back into the early 90’s, I think that everyone is missing the point. Just like with guns, it is not the weapons that are dangerous, but those who wield them. A gun that is properly secured by a responsible citizen is rarely a danger. A nuclear weapon, properly secured by responsible government is rarely a danger.

What is the danger here? It is not the nuclear weapons and material, but the madman who runs the cult of personality country known as North Korea. Kim Jong Il.

More Muslim Desecration

But, see, once again, it is Muslim’s who are doing this, as Cao tells it:

Shah showed the undercover agent how he had fashioned his prayer beads into a weapon that could be used to strangle a person.

Now, Shah is one of the Muslims who was arrested in New York for joining Al Queda, offering to train them, etc. I had heard this myself, but had never seen anything in print till now.

This is one heck of a use for a religious symbol, don’t you think? Seems that it is Islamic tenents that are the biggest danger to their religious icons.

9/11 Spin Control

How many times will this be quoted by the Bush haters?

In the weeks and months before Sept. 11, 2001, the FBI had some clues, but didn’t see them. It had a lead from one of its own agents, but didn’t follow it.

That’s a funny start to the AP story, isn’t it? Would I be wrong in asserting that this is another attempt to smear the Bush admin? Yup. Because there are only two mistakes mentioned, one being:

An FBI agent suggested to the chain of command two months before the attacks that there was a coordinated effort by Osama bin Laden to send students to the United States to study ways to take down U.S. aircraft.

the other being:

According to the report, CIA employees and four FBI agents assigned to the CIA’s bin Laden unit on Jan. 5, 2000, accessed incoming cables containing a substantial amount of information about Mihdhar, including that he was traveling and that he had a U.S. visa. Those facts weren’t disseminated to the FBI.

The information was written up that day by one of the FBI agents assigned to the CIA’s bin Laden unit. The FBI agent sought, but was never able to get, the required go-ahead from the CIA’s deputy chief of the unit to send the draft to the FBI. Ten days later, Mihdhar and Hazmi were in Los Angeles.

Be sure to remind any Bush haters who try to lord the first paragraph of the story over you that Bush wasn’t President on 1/5/2000. And, no, I do not blame Slick, as it sure looks like he probably wasn’t even told of this intelligence.

I freaking give up

OK, I have spent hours searching for a good map of the interior of the US Capital Building. The best, and only, ones I could find were really worthless, since they were so tiny. It is really starting to not only tick me off, but amaze me, that I cannot find one. So, I am asking, no, begging, if anyone has a good copy of the layout (floorplan) of the Congressional Building, I will forever be in your debt.

Ooops: Looks like I hit that button on my laptop, whatever it is, and erased teh second paragraph, which stated that it was for an evil photoshop involving John Kerry.

Remember that great scene from Slapshot? If not, rent the damn movie. Tommorrow. Unless you are in California, then you still have time to hit the movie store, or, maybe, even try WalMart, just to piss the Lefties Socialists Communists Progressives off. But, to move along (which, BTW, would be a great name for a GOP blog. Think about it), Dr. Rusty at The Jawa Report has post about Angelina Jolie and her bisexuality.

Well, Dr. S makes mention of DU nutaloons being all up in arms about Kos running that blogad for, as he puts it, of the hot-lesbo-Gilligans-Island pie fight girls. Bill at INDC is all over this. You do have to give Kos credit for basically saying “F*ck off” to those who do not like that he has that ad.

The thing is, this type of purient behavior is nothing new for the leftazoids. Remember Gannon? How about the treatment of Lime Shurbet and The Gay Patriot by Michael Rogers? And Mary Cheney? Just to name a few. And, of course, they have all sorts of problems with porn star Mary Carey, who ran for Govenor of California, being in the same room as George “still the President” Bush. Just hunt around the DU or some “progressive” blogs. It’s a hoot.

Stop the ACLU wackjobs!

Folks, you have to make sure that you write or email your Congress Critters, urging them to vote "Yea" for the passage of HR 2679, The Public Expression of Religion Act of 2005. What this does, in essence, is to make it near impossible for folks to recover legal fees from the Federal government. The ACLU often takes cases Pro Bono, then bilks the Federal gov’t for the expenses that it incurs through it’s lawsuits, that are depriving YOU of your Freedoms. You can contact most of your Congress critters here.

Furthermore, that wackjobs at the ACLU are still all up in arms regarding the Flag Desecration Constitutional Amendment, which is in the House as H.J. Res 10 and the Senate as S.J. Res. 10. Tell you CC’s that you want them to vote Yea, and then put it to the People of the USA for a full vote. It is time we protect one of our National Symbols.

Screw the Koran

So the radical Muslims whine about that Koran, when, in fact it was their own people who were the culprits. Yet here they go, desecrating one of our cherised national symbols, the American Flag. (h/t Michelle Malkin)

A group of American Muslims produced a video that shows its members on a city street corner declaring Islam’s dominance over America as they tread on a U.S. flag and then rip it apart.

Well, screw them. And, BTW, I have gone and downloaded a copy of the video, so it will not "mysteriously disappear."

In the video, released by the New York-based Islamic Thinkers Society, one of the Muslims is shown placing a sign on the flag that says, "Oh Muslims! Do you know your enemy? Isn’t it obvious?"

I know our enemy, and it is time to send all these f*ckheads to meet Allah personally.

As Michelle says: e-mail editor Mark Whitaker at Newsweek (mark.whitaker-at-newsweek.com) and ask him when they’ll be covering the story. Good darn advice.

WTW: Ca Terrorists

Well, Teach called in, don’t know where the hell he is, though there was something about planks, one pistol, and Congress Critters in the background, but he wanted me to mention those nutballs from Lodi, California, who were arrested for terrorism, but wanted me to wait for some of the Leftie nutjob sites to get their acts together :

Federal agents searched the homes of two Islamic leaders in Lodi, California, and have made four arrests since Sunday, part of an ongoing terrorism investigation, according to the FBI and witnesses.

Two of those arrested are top Muslim leaders in Lodi, including one who publicly condemned the September 11, 2001, terror attacks and issued a declaration of peace with Christian and Jewish leaders in Lodi three years ago.

The other two are a father and son, identified as 47-year-old Umer Hayat and 22-year-old Hamid Hayat. The son allegedly lied about his attendance at an al Qaeda training camp in Pakistan, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Of course, to the Left, this can’t be real, because the War on Terror is all a bunch of Bush booga booga, isn’t it? I’d love to tell y’all about some of the Lefties responses to this, but none of the usual suspects are talking about it. Matter of fact, it’s barely getting any airplay at all. As Rusty at The Jawa Report said (and you should go and read his whole story): I’m surfing the sphere and not seeing much on this. What gives? Has the arrest of another Muslim in America with ties to radicalism become so commonplace that it is no longer ‘news’? I took a perusal around, as well, and couldn’t find anything myself.
