Don’t forget to check out all the other great material all the linked blogs have!

Anyone else have a link or hotty-fest going on? Let me know so I can add you to the list. (BTW, since someone asked, the reason I leave links for the previous week up (or you might see a *) is because they are place holders for later in the day or for next weeks. Easier than rewriting all the time. Also, the listing order has to do with how they are added over time, not how good a post is. I just copy and paste from the previous week, then edit. If you see one of the *’s, go ahead and check out the blog anyhow, see if there is an update. I cannot update with my Android during the day.

What Say To An “International Tribunal Of Climate Justice”?

Just the very name alone should provide the clue that this whole ‘climate change’ push is about far left political policies, not science

(CFACT) Negotiators at the UN climate talks in Bonn, Germany resurrected the “International Tribunal of Climate Justice” and inserted it into the text they are preparing for nations to agree to at the big UN summit in Paris in December.

The draft text will allow developing nations to sit in judgment over the U.S. and its allies, but not subject those nations to the tribunal’s jurisdiction themselves.

From the October 20th UN draft text (full text available at CFACT.org):

“[An International Tribunal of Climate Justice as][A] [compliance mechanism] is hereby established to address cases of non-compliance of the commitments of developed country Parties on mitigation, adaptation, [provision of] finance, technology development and transfer [and][,] capacity-building[,] and transparency of action and support, including through the development of an indicative list of consequences, taking into account the cause, type, degree and frequency of non-compliance.”

Over 130 developing nations led by South Africa and instigated by China and India are insisting that they will not sign a climate agreement in Paris unless it contains massive redistribution of wealth from developed to poor nations.  Now they want the power to haul the U.S. and its allies before a UN Star Chamber to enforce compliance.

Obama and Kerry, who will be leaving office in a little over a year, would love nothing better than to embroil the United States in an international agreement on ‘climate change’ to burnish their so-called legacy, while leaving the middle and lower class citizens to pick up the tab for this far left Progressive agreement, transferring their wealth to other nations under the dubious auspice of ‘climate change’.

Of course, the big question will be how the deal is worked out, because if this is a treaty or a long term commitment, he’ll need two-thirds of the Senate to vote in approval. Obama can try it via the sole-executive agreement route, but, since this would involve the transfer of wealth to other nations and rules that limit greenhouse gases and such, it would have no force of law without Senate consent. But, then, when has the law and Constitution ever stopped Obama?

Climate Scientist Wants The Public To Be Told Of Total Doom

The Cult of Climastrology reminds me of the whole Mayan apocalypse freakout, or Y2K, where we were constantly told of Doom, doom that never materialized. But, some people sure had a fun time predicting doom and making money off of it

Stop telling the public we’re not doomed, says climate change scientist

We all know that the global climate is changing, raising the terrifying prospect of floods, famines and migration crises galore. The latest installment of depressing news is the delightful prediction that dozens of American cities are at risk of drowning before the century is out, turning places like New Orleans and Miami into the lost kingdom of Atlantis.

This is pretty extreme stuff – so everyone is probably just exaggerating, right? Isn’t it time for the scientific community to change the bloody record?

Ha, ha, no. In fact, a paper published this week inNature Geoscience actually says we’re not being hysterical enough. In fact, it warns climate scientists to avoid sugar-coating the scale of the catastrophe that climate change poses.

The author, Professor Kevin Anderson of Manchester University, says scientists shouldn’t shape their findings optimistically, “however politically uncomfortable the conclusions”. If anything, he argues, researchers are censoring themselves, worrying too much about the opinions of others or whether they’ll be liked or not after publishing their studies.

They just need to keep ramping up the scary fables.

Happy 10th Year With No Major Hurricanes! (sticky for day)

It’s been 10 years since the last major (category 3 or stronger) hurricane made landfall on the United States. Wilma, a category 3, made landfall on October 24th, 2005, in Cape Romano, Florida. Since then, not one major hurricane, a record that blows away the longest period of no major hurricanes in US history, which goes back to the Civil War.

Why is this important? Post 2005 hurricane season we were told that it would be the new normal. Hurricane strikes on the US immediately dropped. We were then told that, oh, well, you see, hurricanes would be fewer, but they would be stronger. Nope. Now we’re told that this will happen in the future.

And, no, you can’t deflect to Hurricane Patricia. Even NPR knows that it really had nothing to do with “climate change”. It virtually mirrored a storm from 1959, when CO2 was at a “safe” level of 315ppm.

Families Of Benghazi Victims Call Hillary Clinton A “Serial Liar”

Let’s face it, Hillary, Obama, and the Democratic Party wanted to run the clock out on the Benghazi attacks. They’ve slow-walked information, juked and jived, and, 3 years later, the American People really do not care that much about the attack anymore. It’s old news to them, there wasn’t really anything hugely new about the malfeasance from Hillary and Team Obama, and they want to move on. However, what about the families of those killed in the attack: what do they think?

(Fox News) Michael Ingmire watched as Hillary Clinton was grilled for 11 hours Thursday about the 2012 attack in Benghazi that left his nephew and three other Americans dead and saw not a future president, but a “serial liar.”

As a congressional panel pressed the former Secretary of State over the attack on the consulate facility in the Libyan city, Ingmire, uncle of Sean Smith, and relatives of former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty watched from their homes, hoping Clinton’s testimony would yield answers about why additional security was not granted and why she initially blamed the attack on a YouTube video instead of a coordinated act of terrorism.

“The thing that was shocking – one of the pinnacle moments – was the revelation she told her family there was a terrorist attack while she told America something else,” Smith’s uncle, Michael Ingmire, told FoxNews.com. “Mrs. Clinton is a serial liar.”

She and Team Obama lied to the American people as to the reason for the attack. This is 100% confirmed. One of the questions that all the Congressional panels wanted to know was “why”, but they have never gotten anyone in the administration to answer.

Tyrone Woods’ father, Charles, recalled meeting Clinton when his son’s body arrived at Andrews Air Force Base two days after the attacks.

“I gave Hillary a hug and shook her hand and she said, ‘We are going to have the filmmaker arrested who was responsible for the death of your son,” Woods said, reading the account from his journal.

“That was a complete bald-faced lie,” he told FoxNews.com Friday. “The day after the attack, she was talking to the Prime Minister of Egypt and she said the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the video.”

Again, why were they blaming a video that no one had seen? We’re still waiting for the answer, and, unless someone with insider knowledge squeals, we’ll never know for fact.

Smith’s mother, Patricia, gave a similar account, saying she was told by the administration “it was a video when they knew it was not a video.”

“They told me lies,” she said Friday. “My son told me the night before that he has been asking for security and he hasn’t heard anything.”

Hillary, of course, juked and jived on the point of security, having stated for the record that she never saw any of the hundreds of requests. As Secretary of State, should she not have known about the deplorable and devolving situation in Benghazi and eastern Libya? Journalists were increasingly abandoning the area as being too dangerous. The British pulled their ambassador and mission out of Benghazi after numerous attacks. If she had no clue, especially after pushing for the military attacks on Libya and deposing Ghadaffi (however you spell his name), then she is unqualified to be POTUS. She’s certainly untrustworthy.

NY Times Very Upset That Illegal Aliens Were Detained And Deported

Well, what they, like many other leftist news outlets, are upset about is that the illegal aliens in question were “profiled”. Nowhere within this piece by the NY Times Editorial Board do they mention that the two men in question were illegally in the country

Wrongly Profiled and Deported

The Obama administration likes to say it is both strict and humane in enforcing immigration laws. For years, agents of Immigration and Customs Enforcement have been instructed to focus on deporting serious criminals, not low-level offenders and others who pose no threat. President Obama and his homeland security secretary, Jeh Johnson, have eloquently defended such “prosecutorial discretion” as a wise use of law-enforcement resources.

But a deportation case from rural Louisiana makes a mockery of those policies and suggests that ICE is willing to work with corrupt police departments to further racial profiling, unjust detention and other civil-rights abuses.

The case arose in New Llano, a town of 2,500 near the Texas border, last May. Two Honduran men, Jose Adan Fugon-Cano and Gustavo Barahona-Sanchez, were picked up by New Llano police officers while waiting for work outside a motel. The officers demanded their papers. The men were charged with no crimes but were handed over to the Border Patrol and then to ICE, which detained them as unauthorized immigrants who had been deported before. As the men awaited deportation for more than 140 days, the New Orleans Workers’ Center for Racial Justice, an advocacy organization, filed a civil-rights complaint on their behalf, citing the baseless arrests.

The Homeland Security Department’s Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties investigated. It found the complaint credible. An internal email from the head of the office, Megan Mack, to the director of ICE, Sarah Saldaña, could not have been clearer: “The men appear to have been arrested, transported and detained for an extended period of time, without any local law-enforcement interest in charging them with a crime, solely for an immigration status check,” Ms. Mack wrote. “It seems clear,” she added, that the arrest “was based on their ethnicity and the way they were awaiting pickup for a job.”

Well, yes, it does. Law enforcement profiles all the time. This is one of the ways it catches criminals, along with a way to stop crime prior to it happening. If a cop sees a guy hanging out in a know place for drug dealing, they can move in to stop the illegal activity. If guys are hanging around in a place that illegal aliens hang in an attempt to get work, boom, there you go.

You profile people in your personal life everyday. You look at someone and make a judgement based on race, ethnicity, clothes, vehicle, hair, shoes, etc.

The whole piece, though, is a pity party for these illegals. Their crime? They’re in the country illegally.

Ms. Mack was ignored. Mr. Fugon-Cano was deported this month. Mr. Barahona-Sanchez was expected be deported imminently. Ms. Saldaña’s superiors at Homeland Security are aware of the miscarriage of justice, but apparently have done nothing to undo it.

Say, why was the first deported, with the latter scheduled for deportation? It’s a mystery to the NYTEB! Call Scooby Doo!

(LA Times) Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials chose not to follow Mack’s recommendation and say they are still planning to deport the two men, Jose Adan Fugon-Cano and Gustavo Barahona-Sanchez. Because both men had been removed from the U.S. before, they are still priorities for deportation under the department’s guidelines, said ICE spokesman Bryan D. Cox.

They’re both in the country illegally, and have both been deported at least once each. I’ll never understand the liberal mindset which supports these scofflaws. Illegal immigration is not a victimless crime.

Surprise: Hurricane Patricia Linked To Hotcoldwetdry

I was planning on ignoring the idiocy on Twitter linking Patricia with ‘climate change’, which are runnign rampant (not as much as used to happen, though), but, then I go bored waiting for an appointment, checked Drudge, and saw this

Mexican plea for climate consensus as hurricane nears

Mexico’s climate negotiator issued a tearful plea Friday to UN colleagues to put aside their differences for a global pact, as a superhurricane headed for his country.

“In about four hours, Hurricane Patricia will hit the Mexican coast,” Roberto Dondisch said at the closing session of a fraught round of negotiations in Bonn. “I don’t think I need to say more about the urgency to get this deal done.”

“I ask you all to put aside your differences so together we can start working.”

Dondisch made the plea on the final session of a five-day effort to advance towards a post-2020 UN pact to tame greenhouse gases.

These people are pretty much ghouls, attempting to use a natural even to push their far left fascist/redistributive/taxation agenda. But, here’s where it gets really interesting

Patricia’s track looks pretty bad, eh? Those reds are category 5 status. Oh, wait, no that’s not Patricia’s track at all

That’s Patricia. The first picture is for the 1959 Mexico hurricane, which, interestingly, formed on October 23rd (well, first noticed, this being 1959 and no satellites), and dissipated on the 29th. It was the strongest eastern Pacific landfalling hurricane to date, and Patricia may not beat it. It was also the deadliest, killing 1800 (at least). It had the highest windspeeds, measured up to 160mph.

And all this occurred when CO2 was below the “safe” level of 350ppm, being around 315ppm. Also, interestingly, this occurred during a time when the world was experiencing a Pause/slight cooling. Nothing should be totally implied from all this, except to say that this has happened before, it can and will happen again, and to link it to Someone Else driving a fossil fueled vehicle is stupid, dogmatic, cultish, and un-scientific.

PS: It’s funny, Warmists tell us that no particular storm or cold winter are proof against AGW, and some will say that no particular storm is proof of AGW, yet, they immediately link every storm and weather event to AGW.
