Your Fault: ‘Climate Change’ Making Plants Less Nutritious

Climate change is making plants less nutritious ? that could already be hurting animals that graze

More than one-third of all animals on Earth, from beetles to cows to elephants, depend on plant-based diets. Plants are a low-calorie food source, so it can be challenging for animals to consume enough energy to meet their needs. Now climate change is reducing the nutritional value of some foods that plant eaters rely on.

Human activities are increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide levels and raising global temperatures. As a result, many plants are growing faster across ecosystems worldwide.

Here we go

Some studies suggest that this “greening of the Earth” could partially offset rising greenhouse gas emissions by storing more carbon in plants. However, there’s a trade-off: These fast-tracked plants can contain fewer nutrients per bite.

“Suggest”. In other words, they do not know. It’s all conjecture. So, it is fearmongering and not science.

We believe long-term changes in the nutritional value of plants may be an underappreciated cause of shrinking animal populations. These changes in plants aren’t visually evident, like rising seas. Nor are they sudden and imminent, like hurricanes or heat waves. But they can have important impacts over time.

You can believe all you want. Some people there are bigfoots and yetis. Neither is proof.

Over the longer term, it will be important to understand how nutrient dilution is altering entire food webs, including shifts in plant species and traits, effects on other animal groups such as predators, and changes in species interactions. Changes in plant nutritional value as a result of rising carbon dioxide levels could have far-reaching impacts throughout ecosystems worldwide.The Conversation

FBI Says People Seen Planting IEDs In New Orleans Weren’t Working With New Orleans Car Rammer

This seems like rather important information, because it would mean there were two groups working separately to kill Americans in New Orleans

FBI rules out involvement of 3 men, 1 woman allegedly seen planting IEDs around New Orleans near terror attack

Feds ruled out that the ISIS flag-flying terrorist who killed at least 15 people and injured dozens of others on New Orleans’ famed Bourbon Street had help from four people spotted on surveillance footage near the deadly attack Wednesday.

Video surveillance from the French Quarter seemingly showed three men and one woman planting explosives at multiple locations, a federal alert to police departments around the country said soon after the tragic attack.

Federal authorities have since ruled out their involvement in the tragic attack but still suggested that terror suspect Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, was not “solely responsible” for the carnage.

Law enforcement sources told The Post earlier Wednesday that authorities were investigating whether the attack had connections to any international terror groups.

At least three IEDs, which were pipe bombs wired with remote detonators, were found at or near the scene, sources said.

That would mean that there must have been coordination from some terrorist group (or a false flag, as some would suggest. I do not buy that). Two separate attacks, one successful, the other failing to detonate their IEDs. What is the chance that two separate groups would pick the same area to attack on the same night? Supposedly, a few of the IEDs went off, but, were duds. Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the terrorist driver of the pickup truck, had IEDs in the truck, and they found bomb making materiel in his house. It should be concerning if another group were making bombs and planting them.

Citigroup, BofA join US lenders in exiting Net-Zero Banking Alliance

U.S. banks Citigroup and Bank of America said on Tuesday they are exiting the Net-Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA), a group of global banks that have pledged to curb greenhouse gas emissions.

They follow Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs, which both left the alliance earlier this month.

Financial firms, historically criticized for their connections to the fossil fuel industry, have made efforts to incorporate net-zero standards more prominently into their operations.

However, they have begun scaling back on some initiatives to avoid irking Republican policymakers who are opposed to limiting the financing of fossil fuels.

Well, that’s an easy excuse, and may play a small part, but, they’re seeing that the pledges waste time and money and do not really help their business activity. And most of the climate cultists are just loud: they do not have economic backing or power.

Citi said it had made progress toward its own net-zero goals and decided to leave the NZBA.

BofA, in an emailed statement to Reuters, said: “We will continue to work with clients on this issue and meet their needs.”

The NZBA aims to bring down carbon emissions from the lending and investment portfolios of its members to zero on a net basis by 2050.

A lot of yammering, but, have they really? And, are they acting in the best interests of their investors and shareholders?

Last month, BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street were sued by Texas and 10 other Republican-led states, which said the large asset managers violated antitrust law through climate activism that reduced coal production and boosted energy prices.

It’s a little more complicated than that, but, yeah, those companies are doing shady things, and are not being responsible to their investors and shareholders. It’s all a scam.

Islamists Demand Global Intifada On New Year’s Day In NYC

Hundreds chant for ‘intifada’ at New Year’s Day protest in NYC’s Times Square

Several hundred demonstrators called for an intifada on Wednesday at an anti-Israel protest in New York City’s Times Square to mark New Year’s Day.

Attendees chanted “Resistance is glorious — we will be victorious,” “We will honor all our martyrs,” and “Gaza, you make us proud.” They carried signs that said “Zionism is cancer,” “No war on Iran,” and “End all US aid to Israel.”

“There is only one solution — Intifada revolution,” they chanted, using a common refrain at anti-Israel rallies in the US. “Intifada,” Arabic for “uprising,” is associated with the Second Intifada, a period of terror attacks in Israel in the early 2000s marked by suicide bombings.

Speakers at the Wednesday rally urged attendees to recommit to anti-Israel activism in the new year.

This occurred as we were learning more and more about the New Orleans Islamist terrorist attack. We still do not know what happened with the Las Vegas attack at Trump Tower.

Many in the crowd wore keffiyehs and face masks — ostensibly in order to shield their identities. Jewish groups are pushing New York State legislators to reinstate a law banning face masks at public gatherings, arguing the masks hinder prosecution of hate crimes and harassment. The legislation’s opponents say it will infringe on free expression.

Our government tolerates people calling for the death of Jews. That keffiyeh is a symbol of that, along with chants. These same people want to destroy America. Why are we allowing them to stay? Free Speech does not cover essentially calls for murder. And, isn’t this actually insurrection?

FBI Identifies New Orleans Killer, Says Was Flying ISIS Flag

Law enforcement source, FBI say ISIS flag recovered from suspect’s truck

A high-level local law enforcement source confirmed to Fox News Digital that an ISIS flag was recovered from the vehicle used in the Bourbon Street attack on New Year’s Day.

Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, is the man suspected of driving a pickup truck into a crowd of New Year’s revelers on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, killing at least 10 people and injuring 35 more, the FBI said in a statement. Jabbar died in a brief shootout with police after crashing the vehicle.

The FBI said in a statement it is leading the investigation into Wednesday’s horrific attack, which is being investigated as an act of terrorism.

“An ISIS flag was located in the vehicle and the FBI is working to determine the subject’s potential associations and affiliations with terrorist organizations. Weapons and a potential IED were located in the subject’s vehicle. Other potential IEDs were also located in the French Quarter,” the FBI said.

A Glock handgun and .308 caliber rifle equipped with optics and a sensor were recovered from the crime scene, according to a high-level local source familiar who was not authorized to publicly discus details of the investigation.

Pro-ISIS media outlets had called on Muslims living in the U.S. and Europe to conduct attacks on New Year’s Eve. These calls to arms have been common in the last decade as terror groups wish to incite violent extremists to action during the holiday season.

Din Jabbar has been living in Houston, Texas. Was he here on a visa? US citizen? Naturalized? Given asylum? Given refugee status? Maybe we’ll find out quicker than usual, since the FBI has released this information so quickly. And, put the belief in this as much as you want, there are supposedly 4-5 accomplishes, per The Gateway Pundit.

Terrorist In Car Kills 10, Wounds 30 In New Orleans

‘Terrorist Attack’ — 10 Dead, 30 Injured After Car Crashes into Bourbon Street Revelers

Multiple reports of mass casualties in New Orleans were emerging early New Year’s Day after news outlets indicated a pickup truck drove into a group of revelers on Bourbon Street.

The identity of the driver or possible motive(s) has not been made public by local police.

Ten people were killed and 30 injured after the incident in the historic French Quarter, according to NOLA Ready, the city’s emergency preparedness agency.

The injured had been taken to five local hospitals. (snip)

At around 3:15 a.m. the vehicle, described as an SUV, reportedly drove headlong into pedestrians at the intersection between Bourbon Street and Iberville, WGNO reported. (snip)

After ramming the crowd, the suspected driver reportedly jumped out of a truck and began firing a weapon, CBS News reported.

The police shot back, with two being injured. The truck itself has Texas tags, mostly likely not a rental. The suspect is reportedly dead. So, why no information about them?

(Fox News) However, FBI Special Agent Aletha Duncan said the incident is “not a terrorist attack” in comments delivered after the mayor spoke.

Local police have stated that what they witnessed was a very intentional act. Interesting that the FBI immediately downplayed the terrorism aspect. Especially since

(CNN) As the investigation continues into the deadly scene of a truck mowing through pedestrians in the heart of the French Quarter in New Orleans, federal law enforcement agents are also checking on possible improvised explosives at the scene.

“There were improvised explosive devices that was found, and we are working on confirming if it’s a viable device or not,” said Alethea Duncan, Assistant Special Agent in Charge for the FBI’s New Orleans office.

In all seriousness, everyone plays fast and loose with deeming something a terrorist attack when it can just be mass murder not meant for political change, but, the FBI saying “nope, not terrorism” hours after the event seems shady.

Trump Wants Greenland and the Panama Canal. It’s About Climate.

To imagine the kind of future a hotter, dryer climate may bring, and the geopolitical challenges it will create, look no farther than two parts of the world that Donald Trump wants America to control: Greenland and the Panama Canal.

The president-elect in recent days has insisted that both places are critical to United States national security. He’s called to reclaim control the Panama Canal from Panama and acquire Greenland from Denmark, both sovereign territories with their own governments.

They have something else in common as well: Both are significantly affected by climate change in ways that present looming challenges to global shipping and trade.

Because of warming temperatures, an estimated 11,000 square miles of Greenland’s ice sheets and glaciers have melted over the past three decades, an area roughly equivalent to the size of Massachusetts. That has huge implications for the entire world. If the ice melts completely, Greenland could cause sea levels to rise as much as 23 feet, according to NASA.

“Could”. If they were doing the math they’d know the actual answer. Anyhow, nothing unusual is happening in those places being a typical Holocene warm period. But, you know, a doomsday cult has to see their cult in everything

Trump calls climate change a hoax. The Trump transition team did not respond to a request for comment. But his former national security adviser, Robert C. O’Brien suggested on Sunday that climate change was one factor in Trump’s interest in acquiring Greenland.

“Greenland is a highway from the Arctic all the way to North America, to the United States,” he told Fox News. “It’s strategically very important to the Arctic, which is going to be the critical battleground of the future because as the climate gets warmer, the Arctic is going to be a pathway that maybe cuts down on the usage of the Panama Canal.”

Nothing in there stated that Mankind is at fault. Most skeptics readily admit that the Earth has gotten warmer since 1850, as the Little Ace Age ended. But, cults have to cult.

I wonder if they have considered that this whole thing may be misdirection by Trump, who is looking for different outcomes?

Bummer: Illegal Aliens Could Freeze As The Illegally Cross Into The U.S.

Freezing temperatures create risk for illegal immigrants

Immigrants who are entering the United States illegally in Texas face a new challenge as winter settles into open desert spaces that many of the new arrivals encounter once they cross the border.

Temperatures in the desert are soon expected to drop below freezing in the nighttime hours, creating risks for migrants as they enter the U.S. However, concerns over coping with the cold also affect border agents and local law enforcement working the desert in Texas and New Mexico who are tasked with apprehending the illegal migrants.

U.S. Border Patrol officials in El Paso have issued warnings not only about freezing temperatures but also about the hazardous conditions migrants face once in the open desert. Once immigrants cross the U.S.-Mexico border into Terrell County, Texas, they face a minimum of 20 miles that they need to traverse.

That’s on them. And the U.S. has to waste time, resources, and money rescuing these people

Arizona bishops express ‘grave concern’ over possibility of migrant arrests at churches

Two of Arizona’s Catholic bishops joined last week with a group of other Christian leaders in the state to express their “grave concern” over “the threat of mistreatment of undocumented persons who are our neighbors and contribute to our communities.”

“While we recognize the lawful right of nations to monitor and control their borders, we also recognize that in many ways our current U.S. immigration laws do not uphold individuals’ rights to a dignified life, family unity, and safety,” wrote a group of 10 Arizona Christian leaders in a Dec. 28 AZ Central column.

They have those rights. In their own nations. If the bishops do not want them arrested at the churches then the churches should not be shelterin illegal aliens in contradiction of federal law.

Suspects detained in killing of Mexican immigration agent

Three suspects are in custody for allegedly killing a Mexican federal immigration official on the outskirts of Jua?rez.

The Mexican National Migration Institute reports that the suspects are migrants, two from Venezuela and one from Colombia. They were arrested in a joint operation by federal and State of Chihuahua authorities, hours after the body of the immigration agent was reported around 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30.

The attack happened Monday near a checkpoint just south of Jua?rez along the Pan-American highway in an area known as Precos-Samalayuca, around 30 miles south of the U.S./Mexico border where many migrants arrive on the northbound train.

The attack was provoked after the agent asked for the migrant’s documentation, according to Mexican immigration officials.

They beat him to death. Perhaps Mexico will finally understand that it is a bad idea to allow all these bad people to trek through Mexico?
