From The Age
Lawyers for terror plot suspect Willie Brigitte have told a Paris court he was repeatedly beaten by Australian and French police.
They also said his Australian wife Melanie Brown was threatened by French authorities in order to gain evidence to her husband's role in a suspected Sydney terror plot.
The trial of the 38-year-old former Sydney kebab shop worker concluded in Paris today, with the prosecutor requesting a ten-year sentence with a non-parole period of seven years – the maximum allowed for his charge of criminal association with a view to committing a terrorist act.
It begs the question: will the "anti-war" terrorist supporters condemn France, and protest the proported treatment of Brigitte? Or, is it OK for France to supposedly do that, and not the USA?
