    The numbers tell the story. In 2022 and 2023, the Obama Foundation handed over $2 million to Tides, a group best known for serving as a clearinghouse for radical left-wing causes and for shielding donor identities. It should come as no surprise that George Soros heavily backs Tides, and Tides is directly tied to groups organizing anti-Israel protests. That includes demonstrations against the Jewish state in the aftermath of the Oct. 7 Hamas atrocities. In other words, donations made in the name of funding a presidential library are now helping bankroll organizations promoting antisemitic activism under the guise of social justice.

    That’s pretty on-brand for Barack Obama.

    1962 – Rachel Carson’s book Silent Spring is published, inspiring an environmental movement and the creation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The book is poorly researched, the rush to ban DDT resulted in millions of lives lost in the resurgence of mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria.

    Anyway, Carson clearly stated she was not advocating for the elimination of all pesticides but for their responsible and carefully managed use. Her prediction that repeated use of pesticides would lead to target organisms evolving immunity has been repeatedly borne out, a key reason why DDT lost its effectiveness in places like India. Carson correctly highlighted the profound understanding of the interconnections within nature and the limitations of scientific knowledge to justify large-scale chemical interventions. She got the big picture right by emphasizing the perils of pesticides and sparking the modern environmental movement.

            Abstract
            Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) is still used in certain areas of tropics and subtropics to control malaria and other insect-transmitted diseases. DDT and its metabolites have been extensively studied for their toxicity and carcinogenicity in animals and humans and shown to have an endocrine disrupting potential affecting reproductive system although the effects may vary among animal species in correlation with exposure levels. Epidemiologic studies revealed either positive or negative associations between exposure to DDT and tumor development, but there has been no clear evidence that DDT causes cancer in humans. In experimental animals, tumor induction by DDT has been shown in the liver, lung, and adrenals. The mechanisms of hepatic tumor development by DDT have been studied in rats and mice. DDT is known as a non-genotoxic hepatocarcinogen and has been shown to induce microsomal enzymes through activation of constitutive androstane receptor (CAR) and to inhibit gap junctional intercellular communication (GJIC) in the rodent liver. The results from our previously conducted 4-week and 2-year feeding studies of p,p?-DDT in F344 rats indicate that DDT may induce hepatocellular eosinophilic foci as a result of oxidative DNA damage and leads them to hepatic neoplasia in combination with its mitogenic activity and inhibitory effect on GJIC. Oxidative stress could be a key factor in hepatocarcinogenesis by DDT.

    BTW, a killer drove into a Mormon Church in Grand Blanc Michigan, jumped out and shot victims with a AR-15 style rifle. So far, at least one dead, others in critical condition. The church also caught fire. The shooter was killed, ostensibly by local officers. He had rammed a Chevy Silverado into the side of the building.

      Shots fired from a boat in the Intracoastal Waterway at 9:30 p.m.(Saturday) resulted in multiple injuries at American Fish Company in Southport’s Yacht Basin, said Southport NC Police Chief Todd Coring.

      Along with the three who died, several more were injured, and at least one person is clinging to life, said District Attorney Jon David.

      The suspect was identified as Nigel Max Edge, 40, of Oak Island. He is charged with three counts of first-degree murder, five counts of attempted murder and five counts of assault with a deadly weapon, intend to kill, inflicting serious injury.

      Edge, who changed his name from Sean DeBevoise in 2023, appeared in his Marine uniform on the red carpet in 2012 alongside the singer Kellie Pickler at the CMT Music Awards as her special date for the night, accompanied by his service dog Rusty.

      Edge, 40, was armed with a short barrel AR rifle, equipped with a suppressor, with a folding stock and scope, court documents charge.

      A lawsuit, filed in May by Edge, claimed the Generations Church was behind a “civil conspiracy” masterminded by the LGBTQ community and white supremacist pedophiles to kill Edge because he’s “a straight man.”

      In January, Edge filed a similar suit against the Brunswick Medical Center, accusing it of being part of a conspiracy launched by “LGBTQ White Supremacists” who were allegedly out to get him because he survived their attack in Iraq.
