This is a little story, but, why does it resonate so much that they’re holding a climate crisis at an expensive yacht club?
Island Climate Change Summit Taking Place On Wednesday
The third annual Nantucket Climate Change Summit is being held at the Great Harbor Yacht Club this Wednesday, headlined by a talk by Climate Central Chief Meteorologist Bernadette Woods Placky.
After two years focused entirely on the intersection of climate change and Nantucket, the Nantucket Conservation Foundation and the Linda Loring Nature Foundation are expanding the focus of their summit slightly by bringing in Placky, a meteorologist for the nonprofit climate change news outlet Climate Central.
“We don’t want to keep doing the same thing every year,” Nantucket Conservation Foundation Coastal Ecology Project Manager Jen Karberg told the Current. “We want to bring in new and elevated information.” (snip)
“We have space for the community to be there, to ask questions, to interact with each other. We want the community to start talking about what’s going on,” Karberg said. “If we’re getting together and talking, our chances of having positive adaptation go up.”
Karberg said the event is important in part because Nantucket is uniquely exposed to the effects of climate change. She hopes the event will help bring islanders together on the issue.
Nantucket doesn’t survive without fossil fuels. All the cars bringing vacationers, folks in their mansions, all those fishing and pleasure boats, the airport. The same leaders of Nantucket having been protest Vineyard Wind, and two other wind farm projects. I’m not really finding a true measure as to what it costs to join the yacht club, but, wow, does this look like uber-white liberal women or what? Ones who are happy to force you to do things they won’t do?
Increased erosion is eating the beach with more houses bring condemned
Before that “totally corrupt” Joe Biden was a finally able to afford to buy his 2 million dollar beach house, he vacationed on Nantucket. But he could only afford to rent, and only in the off season
The rich guys DO get the better looking women !!! So unfair.
Bet when they married in their 20s really hot.
And these are the women who are controlling the lives of people are Mr Teach
And doing so in ways he doesn’t like!

I tried to find out the cost of membership to the Nantucket Yacht club but was unable
However, it does have reciprocal privileges with 2 other clubs one of which the (St) Edgartown Yacht club
Offers family memberships SAT $450 per year.
Yacht clubs stent like hold clubs(golf club membership on Nantucket is like +$250000) yacht clubs want members. They exist mostly to put kids on smaller sailboats. Keep them off jet skis ????
Their Sunday race classes are 12′ Rainbow class dinghy, 12.5 Heresshoff and 16s for the older kids.
The hatch club on Sundays would probably be a prime hunting ground to find some domestically neglected moms like those in the picture.

As far as beauty goes …. Well beauty is in the eyes of the beholder
But most would agree that beauty is an unconscious evaluation of both physical traits and genetic health
Some cultures favor fat women , some thin
In our country blue states are simply more healthy. Less obesity longer life spans longer years of being in good health. Alabama? How would you rate it for health? Beauty ?
As far as living in a just world and political beliefs? I do not see the correlation. Social Justice warriors as exemplified feel the world is unjust
Mr Teach also feels we are living in an unjust world, a world where libs control more of his life then he wants and the Obamas ruined his life. Where is the justice and fairness in that ? Where is the “fairness and justice” in having the low price of soy beans determined by Trump trying to pretend to be able to bully China?
Some people just believe life is unfair to them, both left and right.
