Dems Join With GOP To Block Dems Idiotic Impeachment For Iran Bombing

Look, we can, as a coworker says, debate whether bombing Iran was the right or wrong thing to do, whether the consequences were worth it. What we can’t debate is that it was 100% legal, per the War Powers Resolution of 1973

128 Democrats join House GOP to block progressive’s bid to impeach Trump

The House of Representatives voted along bipartisan lines to quash a lone progressive lawmaker’s bid to impeach President Donald Trump Tuesday afternoon.

Lawmakers agreed to table the measure in a 344–79 vote. A vote to table is a procedural mechanism allowing House members to vote against consideration of a bill without having to vote on the bill itself.

The resolution was offered by Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, who was infamously ejected from Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress earlier this year for repeatedly interrupting the president.

A majority of House Democrats joined Republican lawmakers to kill Green’s resolution, a sign of how politically caustic the effort appears to be. Just 79 Democrats voted to proceed with the impeachment vote, while 128 voted to halt it in its tracks.

The title of Excitable Al’s resolution was

Abuse of Presidential Powers by Disregarding
the Separation of Powers—Devolving American
Democracy into Authoritarianism by Unconstitutionally
Usurping Congress’s Power to Declare War

Will Al try to retroactively impeach Biden and Obama for bombing place like Syria and others without the approval of Congress? Wasn’t Obama flying to South America or something when he started a war in Libya? Anyhow, I’m sure those 128 Dems were thinking it is idiotic and really bad optics to try and impeach Trump for bombing Iran with their “Death To America” chants, and wanted no part in general election opponents brining it up.

The bombing ? How many posters got chubbies after hearing Trump wank off telling us the raid completely obliterated the nuclear bomb making facilities
I keep telling you proper critical analysis requires you to ALWAYS. be most skeptical of any data you WANT. To believe.
Trump goes batshit when report is released saying damage will delay Iran’s plans by only a few months. Trump’s actions will push Iran to develope a nuke

  2. Doom and Gloom says:

Obama dropped 26000 bombs during 2016 alone. Somalia, Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and let us not forget Libya. The fake line in the sand. Assad gassing his own people said the CIA.

That was when Hillary was certain she was gonna be the next warmonger in chief owned and operated by the powers that be that make trillions fighting endless wars.

No one wanted to impeach Obama for dropping bombs on Libya, Syria and Somalia. But then I guess the left doesnt love those Muslims. Only those who want to end Israel’s existence.

Ummm, I think the Iranian regime is already motivated to make big boom-booms. Kind of hard to accomplish that when someone keeps breaking your atomic weapon making toys. I doubt the radical muslins will ever stop until the good people of Iran take the country back and send the radicals packing.

Mr trump said that the cruise missiles on Isfahan and the B-2 bombardment on the other two sites “completely and totally obliterated” Iran’s nuclear program. He dropped most of our MOP bombs on the sites.

    Trust in Trump, Stupid! (TITS)

He said it – I believe it – That settles it!

He directly compared the strike on Iran to the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. Iran is done! Their spirit is broken!

Is Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) a traitor, like Rep Thomas Massie (R-KY)? What’s the matter with Kentucky? They also have Mitch McConnell and a Democratic governor!

Republican senator Rand Paul of Kentucky suggested today that the Obama administration had the right approach when it negotiated the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) that limited Iran’s nuclear program. Paul said: “I’m arguing that the intervention, the military intervention, may not have been successful, as people are saying, and also that there may not be a military answer to this, that ultimately the answer to the end of the nuclear program is going to involve diplomacy.”

How dare they question the “feelings” of our president??

Your Cuckold-in-Chief equating the reporting on the interim intelligence report as a direct attack on the brave pilots who flew the missions. His boy, attack-puppy, Little Peter Hegseth, then yelled at and insulted the reporters for a couple of minutes without adding ANY iformation. Attack-puppies are like that.

Your Cuck-in-Chief trusts Netanyahu more than our own military for information!

    from the NATO meeting…

President Trump says his view of NATO has changed over the past day. For years, he has criticized other members of the alliance and said they weren’t paying their fair share, but he seems to have been won over by lavish praise from other world leaders and their vows to increase military spending.

“Almost every one of them said, ‘Thank God for the United States,’” he said.

He added: “I left here differently. I left here saying that these people really love their countries. It’s not a ripoff, and we’re here to help them protect their country.”

President Trump on Wednesday hailed a commitment by NATO allies to raise their military spending to 5 percent of their economic output (from 2%), claiming victory at a summit in The Hague that was devoid of overt drama or disagreement.

But Mr. Trump, speaking at a news conference as the summit ended, did not mention over what time period that spending would rise — a decade.

Spain pushed back and 5% and trump stated he’d make Spain pay by a punitive trade deal.

More war-fighting!!! More investment in the military-industrial complex!! More taxpayer money to the billionaires!! Classic conservatism.
