GOP Looks To Claw Back Money For USPS EV Trucks

Why? Well, you see

DOGE lawmakers look to defund Biden’s anemic-paced $3B EV postal truck ‘boondoggle’

Two top DOGE lawmakers are introducing a bill to claw back $3 billion authorized under former President Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, which was designated to create an electric vehicle (EV) fleet for the United States Postal Service (USPS).

A South Carolina defense contractor responsible for the 60,000-vehicle order was already “far behind schedule” as of November. A Washington Post exposé revealed that by then, fewer than 100 of these vehicles had been delivered to USPS.

Citing that, Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, DOGE Caucus chair, and Rep. Michael Cloud, R-Texas, will be forwarding the “Return to Sender Act,” seeking to recoup what is about 30% of the overall appropriation in Biden’s law that was intended to be geared toward reducing inflation.

The Postal Service was to receive an initial order of 50,000 EV delivery trucks from defense contractor Oshkosh within the next three years, but only 93 had been produced by November, according to the Post.

“The order needs to be canceled with the unspent money returned to sender, the taxpayers. I am defunding this billion-dollar boondoggle to stamp out waste in Washington. Tax dollars should always be treated with first-class priority.”

93. They do not know what they are doing. In fairness, a lot of delivery folks for the USPS like the limited number they have received. But, there’s no way they can get serious numbers any reasonable time frame

“Three years later, taxpayers are still waiting while the Postal Service refuses to provide basic transparency on where the money went. The Return to Sender Act takes back the $3 billion in taxpayer money that has been wasted in this project,” Cloud said.

If they won’t be transparent, then the head honchos need to be dragged in front of Congress and cited with contempt if they won’t answer. Further, the bill is meant to end all unobligated money from the BS Inflation Reduction Act.

Elon and the DOGE boyz first!

Makes sense. The US Government should cancel non-performing contracts or even contracts where they just changed their minds and decide to not print money to pay for unnecessary purchases.

Geez Rimjob, now we’ll never know why you’re such a sorry fat bitch.

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins in a post on X announced that the USDA is canceling a $600,000 grant toward this research project which is being conducted by the Southern University Agricultural & Mechanical College in Louisiana.

    Summary
Menarche, the first occurrence of menstruation, occurs at approximately 12 years of age and ends with menopause at roughly 51 years of age (Norman, 2014). A woman will have a monthly menstrual cycle for about 40 years of her life averaging to about 450 periods over the course of her lifetime (Nappi, et al, 2016). It is also important to recognize that transgender men and people with masculine gender identities, intersex and non-binary persons may also menstruate (Weiselberg 2022). At any given moment about 26% of the world’s population is menstruating (Barrington et al. 2021). This integrated project involves research, extension, and teaching components proposed to address the growing concerns and issues surrounding menstruation, including the potential health risks posed to users of synthetic feminine hygiene products (FHP), advancing research in the development of FHP that use natural materials, as well as providing menstrual hygiene management (MHM) education for young women and girls. The specific objectives of this project are:a) to produce three natural fibers; regenerative cotton, regenerative wool and industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa);b) to develop patents for sustainable feminine hygiene sanitary products using the three natural fibers;c) to evaluate the FHP made from each of the natural fibers in comparison to the standard synthetic product;d) to educate young women and girls about MHM through an extension program;e) to enhance instruction for students in the College of Agricultural, Family and Consumer Sciences andf) to provide a local fiber processing center for fiber growers in Louisiana.

      Jeff,
I hate to tell you, but you are the stupid. Women have known for some time about mensuration. We also have abundant cotton, check your history.

But Southern? I am not sure of their current status, but their diploma is worthless. Their research is a joke, much like yours. Likely this was a voter pay off.

        Let it go, david.
Rimjob’s on a roll like that Jasmine chick. They be smart.
        Bwaha! Lolgf Loser!

        porter,

Southern U is one of the historically black colleges and university (HBCU) which likely explains your foul attitude. You’ve made you’re opinion on those “lazy and stupid negroes” well-known. Anyway, we’re certain you didn’t read any part of the grant application but it talked about patenting their findings of alternative fibers for FHPs.

You begrudge Southern U a small federal grant, but we bet you celebrate the near half a billion in tax dollars to LSU, a few miles south. But can you believe LSU’s student population is nearly 20% blacks??? trump and your anti-diversity warriors will change that!!

What research of yours are you most proud of?

        • david7134 says:

          Jeff,
Southern is a black university as the black population or leadership persist with requiring a segregated educational system. We have two higher education school boards as the blacks stop all efforts to unify. So, you are supporting segregation. With my black friends, I have consistently told them not to go to the traditionally black colleges. The degrees are worthless and often not accepted in higher education. I have steered blacks to LSU and many now work in much better circumstance such as NASA. Jeff, it is apparent that you are a racist and you hate everything. Nothing but a big fat slob swilling whiskey daily and criticizing those trying to make the world a better place. But keep it up, you are actually funny in your ignorance.

Rimjob is the only one around here who uses the term “lazy and stupid negroes”.

            Such a putz.

            Pups,
He asked me why people are poor. I quoted from the same question asked of a Roman at the time of the empire. And still approximate for today. In Jeff’s confused mind he took this to mean all blacks as in his mind they are the only poor.

No, the manufacturer really doesn’t. Oshkosh, the contracted manufacturer builds large trucks, and is the premier supplier of diesel-powered front discharge concrete mixers. They had exactly zero experience with vehicles of the size and type of USPS residential delivery vehicles, and, if I remember correctly, zero experience with plug-in electrics either. Yes, they submitted the low bid, but it was an irresponsible bid, because Oshkosh just didn’t know how to do the job.
