French Foreign Minister Says Private Sector Should Pay For Hotcoldwetdry

Where does he think all the government money comes from?

Private sector should foot climate bill, French finance minister says

Funding to combat climate change needs to come from the private sector as there is no more public financing available from France or other European Union countries, French Finance Minister Bruno le Maire said on Tuesday.

“We cannot afford to have such a level of public debt. So don’t count on more public effort or public funding,” he told a conference of the International Energy Agency.

Le Maire said France was already investing some 40 billion euros ($42.85 billion) per year to fight climate change by deploying renewable energies and investing in new technologies and new nuclear plants.

“I can tell you that there is no possibility for us to put much more money on the table. And all the 27 (EU) member states are in exactly the same situation because we had to spend so much public money to limit the consequences of the COVID crisis,” he said.

In other words, they pissed away the money the government forcibly takes from citizens. Do they have anything to really show for it?

Private institutions and banks will need incentives to accelerate the green energy transition and funding needs to also come at the EU level, he said, calling for a Capital Market Union (CMU) to be set up.

The CMU will really be a way for government extract more money from private companies, who will simply pass the costs on the consumers. What’s that saying from Margaret Thatcher “the great thing about socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money”? Doing Something about ‘climate change is great till you realize you need more and more money to make it look like you’re doing something, while, really, you’re just hooking up donors and friends, as well as other politicians. All at the expense of the voters. Who were stupid to vote these grifter cultists into office.

There’s no such thing as funding that doesn’t come from the “private sector.” ALL government funds are either seized at gunpoint or created out of thin air because it creates nothing from voluntary investment people want to buy.

I couldn’t have said it better brother John. But try telling that to our resident leftists who thinks the only people who pay taxes are poor people all the rest of us just generate money by magic. For the rest of the idiot leftist who either wanna tax the rich or eat the rich. And since the rich already pay over 50% of all taxes collected I imagine we should get down to the eating time and just cut them up to Soylent green.

Democrats have come up with a 21st century system for enslaving their fellow man. The Democrats in Massachusetts have taken the idea of bringing illegals into their homes for shelter and turned them into indentured servants. In other words slaves.

American Democrats never miss an opportunity to enslave somebody usually blacks and they’re doing it again. “Why it’s almost like a having a personal chef” crooked one disgusting Democrat slave owner. Of course you have to pay a personal shaft and you don’t have to pay a Haitian slave. LOL

      MAGAts whine.

It’s not the taking in of immigrants that I’m whining about it’s putting them to work as slaves. We all realize that enslaving immigrants is not a problem to leftists like yourself. You’ve never had a problem in enslaving people we had to fight a war over that once. But call it what it is. Don’t make yourselves out as being some sort of Saints for bringing an indentured servants into your home cause you’re not. You’re just gaming the system to get free labor and enslave ignorant people, black people as usual.

Just look at this Democrat biotch with her little black slave.

Good government provides the structural framework supporting private sector wealth creation. Firemen, police, courts and laws, physical infrastructure (water, roads, clean air, bridges, airports, ports, sewer systems, etc) are all necessary for economic success. California’s economy is twice as successful as Russia’s.

Best economy on Earth, ever? This United States of America.

The basis of modern conservatism is that the wealthy need to be left alone to do what they do best: gather money and resources. The Tragedy of the Commons!!

When one also considers the economic concept of negative externalities, one fully understands why the wealthy stay in bed with conservatives.

Smoking cigarettes causes lung, bladder, head and neck… in fact at least 10 cancers… asthma, emphysema… costing society billions. Who should pay? The victims? Taxpayers? Or the shareholders and executives of the tobacco companies? No doubt the government was complicit in not banning all tobacco products once the toxicities were known (tobacco still kills more Americans than alcohol, fentanyl, “illegals” and murders combined). Only bad diet and lack of exercise is as bad!

Did “we” know that burning coal, oil and gas had negative effects? Yes. Acute pollutants, e.g., lead, acid rain, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, particulates, benzene, sulfur compounds, have been removed making the world safer. But CO2 emissions are a problem not addressed yet. Increasing atmospheric CO2 was identified as a potential cause of warming over a century ago, and since the 1980s evidence has accumulated demonstrating that CO2 is increasing and contributes to global warming.

Global warming is a negative externality of our burning fossil fuels. Who will pay for the adaptations to a warming world – sea walls, migrations, floods, droughts, storms, agriculture changes? Traditionally, “we, the people” spread the costs to all working class individuals while increasingly “we” cut taxes on the shareholders and executives.
