I read that article in RCS
It was written by the CEO of Chevron he is course blamed the Greenies for having his companies revenue go up 80% over last year along with all time high profits.
The Greenies are killing fossil fuel companies!

    • CarolAnn says:

What the hell is RCS? Never heard of it. Give me a .com site so I too can be enlightened.

So you figure when FJB causes inflation which the numbers prove he has, horribly, you think companies should no longer make profits? The shareholders and employees may disagree. Now let’s see, the average profit on a gallon of gas is 7 cents, the average fed and state taxes $1.89 except in Cali and other leftist states where it’s more but they skew the averages so we’ll leave themm out. How is Chevron or anyone else responsable for that?

I imagine a commie like you are angling for a government takeover of the entire oil industry, right? Cause the government is so efficient on everything from postage to the military to health care. Idiot. Again the shareholders, investors, employees and customers may disagree.

        CarolAnn,

The RCS in this case refers to Real Climate Science, that Mr Teach cited, is a climate “skeptic” site.

The Chevron CEO article blaming greens for the energy crisis is here.

So Biden didn’t just screw up our economy. He screwed up the whole planet. Not bad for a guy who just signs whatever is put in front of him.

        • CarolAnn says:

The “current bout of inflation” as you puy it is largly global because just likr the Great Depression what begins in America generally spreads globally. Our inflation is soley, 100% due to the decisions, incompetantcy and hostility to Trump by pedo joe and his retarded commie appointees and followers. Belgium does not have the economic power to start either inflation nor recession. We do. And he did.

Please stop trying to blame anybodyy but biden. The man is a fool and always has been that’s why after running in 1988, 2008 he was finally installed in a stolen election in 2020. Your party had to cheat to get him into the White House thus signaling the demise of the American Republic. Now you want to blame others for all his obvious and previously known shortcomings not the least of which is his proclivity to lie about himself, his son who did not die in battle and to take credit for other people’s achievments.

PS. Thanks for enlightening me about RCS. I already watch him but did not know the “code”. Apparently Upton knew a lot of democrat politicians.

As if cheating to steal an election and installing this communist pedophile as president wasn’t bad enough you creeps seem determined to keep blaming others, especially Trump, for all the shit befalling us now under pedo.

We are wise to you liars now. watch what happens in Nov. Unless you cheat again which we all know you will. That’s why we are setting up poll watchers across the entire nation.

Thank you, your commie friends an the complete lack of honesty and morality for turning America into a third world nation.

          • Elwood P. Dowd says:

            CarolAnn,

The current bout of global inflation is caused by supply chain issues related to the global pandemic of 2019-2020, US and EU governments’ spending (including direct payments to citizens), robust recovery from the pandemic recession, Federal Reserve relaxed monetary policy following The Great Recession and the “petro-shock” of Russian invasion of Ukraine (add in the recently announced reduction in OPEC+ crude production – even the “announcement” caused gas prices to rise!).

Specifically, what Biden policies caused the current bout of global inflation and what should be done to quell it? (We know, we know… nuCons want inflation to continue since it helps them politically, and political power and the establishment of a white christian ethnostate is their priority).

            The Federal Reserve:
            1)conducts the nation’s monetary policy to promote maximum employment, stable prices, and moderate long-term interest rates in the U.S. economy;
            2)promotes the stability of the financial system and seeks to minimize and contain systemic risks through active monitoring and engagement in the U.S. and abroad;
            3)promotes the safety and soundness of individual financial institutions and monitors their impact on the financial system as a whole;
4)fosters payment and settlement system safety and efficiency through services to the banking industry and the U.S. government that facilitate U.S.-dollar transactions and payments; and
5)promotes consumer protection and community development through consumer-focused supervision and examination, research and analysis of emerging consumer issues and trends, community economic development activities, and the administration of consumer laws and regulations.

Restricting the money supply and raising interest rates are the blunt instruments The Fed uses to reduce inflation. The serious side effect is that it slows the economy, often too much, causing a recession. Recall Fed Chair Volcker’s actions in 1980 to squelch inflation, causing the deep but temporary recession of the early 80s. The Fed fund rate was up to 20%, unemployment jumped to nearly 11% early in Mr Reagan’s 1st term.

We get it. A US President suffers for the events of their Presidency.

  2. On Saturday, we went to October Court Day in Preston, Kentucky. The third Monday of October is the traditional time that the ‘country folk’ come to Mt Sterling and Preston to sell or trade their wares, from sorghum molasses to quilts to hunting dogs to guns to goats and chickens and a few other kinds of critters.

Alas! Court Day in Mt Sterling, where I grew up, has been taken over by professional flea market vendors, but Preston’s is far more like Court Day was in the 1960s.

    Ammo sales at Court Day

One of dozens of tents selling firearms; this was not one of the bigger ones. Plenty of people walking around carrying long guns, and pistols tucked in belts. Many of the people carrying long guns were Amish.

I very much doubt that any instant background checks were made!

    No one was shot.

  3. James Lewis says:

    Dear Elwood:

“BTW – The current bout of inflation is largely global.”

No, as you will learn in a few days, inflation is at your local Walmart.

“The Chevron CEO article blaming greens for the energy crisis is here.”

The facts remain that pre Biden we had cheap gas.

Kinda hard to dispute, eh? https://www.thepiratescove.us/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

      Mr Lewis,

Yes, US Presidents are held responsible for whatever happens during their terms. https://www.thepiratescove.us/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

That fact does not refute the fact that the current bout of inflation is global. https://www.thepiratescove.us/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

We hope you’re just pretending to be stupid. https://www.thepiratescove.us/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

      • CarolAnn says:

Thanks. That was a very nice dissertation you copied and pasted there at 10AM. But you are doing your usual dance of the insane. Inflation today is the direct result of what pedo did starting day one of his junta regime. You can quote anyone you want. You can (as you are known to do) twist and turn in the wind and redefine words or long held definitions. It won’t change a thing. The “global” part of inflation was started by pedo joe just like the recession we are now in. You know it, we know it and the world knows it. Just like the stolen election you liars can keep repeating the lie but it won’t make it true. Just like the “vaccine will protect you from getting or spreading Covid” lie we just don’t believe you any more. You have gone one lie too many and you’re through.

We get it. We are ignorant deplorables clinging to our guns and Bibles and don’t deserve the enlightened transsexual/BLM/CRT/commie leadership you brilliant leftists are providing. Boo-hoo.

The “Inflation Reduction Act” did absolutely nothing to reduce inflation. (But then it wasn’t supposed to. It was just another corrupt payoff to democommie donors and we all knew it). That’s born out by the reality that inflation actually increased month over month from August to September. In other words, your hard-earned tax money got blown on green energy garbage and actually made things worse. If that doesn’t infuriate you, you are probably a Democrat.

Yeah, he melts more faces than an 80’s guitar god, but he knows exactly what he’s doing when he essentially accuses Americans of being too stupid to see how great things are. Oh, you don’t like paying 15 percent more for things compared to when Biden took office? Well, look at the jobs numbers, moron!

That arrogance is going to cost him and his party, and it’s going to be a glorious meltdown to witness. November can’t get here soon enough, both for the entertainment factor and the fact that I’m not sure the country’s economy can survive much longer with Democrats at the helm.

You can’t reason a person out of a position that they did not use reason to get in to. So I’m not even going to try. After all you seem to do a vast amount of reading and copying to answer so save yourself the time. You are after all getting close to the end at your age.

      • James Lewis says:

        Dear Elwood:

        Yes, Biden is responsible.

  4. James Lewis says:

    Dear Elwood:

“The current bout of global inflation is caused by supply chain issues related to the global pandemic of 2019-202”

Utter BS. There was no one trying to outbid anyone for a loaf of bread. Or milk or eggs or a can of beans. Or a new shirt or a pair of shoes or a gallon of gasoline.

The scarcity issue was self-correcting when the illegal and immoral shutdown of the world ended.

The problem is that the Biden administration jammed a bunch of new regulations on the oil industry with the result that oil prices have increased.

Oil is in everything. Gasoline, diesel, lubricating oils, plastics, fertilizer, drugs, etc., etc.

    Biden is directly responsible.

Get your head out of your rectum and quit mouthing excuses that are 50 years out of date.
