  2. Vice President Kamala Harris Emhoff tweeted:

Our Administration will always fight to defend the right of women to make decisions about their own bodies. It is non-negotiable.

If women have the right to take decisions about their own bodies, wouldn’t that also apply to vaccine mandates?

    • Dana says:

And when I posted this to Facebook, they had to f(ornicate) with it:

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

The Supreme Court has said that a woman has the right to an abortion, up to fetal viability.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the government can mandate vaccinations for purposes of public health.

      • gitarcarver says:

The Supreme Court has said that a woman has the right to an abortion, up to fetal viability.

Which may be at this time when the heartbeat starts which would make the Texas law Constitutional.

But Harris is doing the same thing that others on the left are doing which is demanding the right to kill children after viability.

Why does the left hate children so much?

The Supreme Court has ruled that the government can mandate vaccinations for purposes of public health.

        Citation please.

The Supreme Court has also ruled that a woman not convicted of any crime could be injected in order to sterilize her and prevent her from having children.

        You okay with that?

So on one hand the left screams “keep your hands off of kids because we want to kill them ourselves!” and on the other hand, “we have the right to inject you with whatever drugs we want.”

        That is inconsistent at best.

Then again, the left hates consistency because all the left has is hate.

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

gitarcarver: Which may be at this time when the heartbeat starts which would make the Texas law Constitutional.

You may be confused on the biology of the embryo. What is measured around 6 weeks following a missed period is not a heartbeat, since there is not yet a heart! Cells that are precursors to the sino-atrial node cells have the ability to depolarize and repolarize in a cycle. An actual cardiovascular system doesn’t develop until 16-18 weeks. There may come a day when scientists can grow a human without a host at all – combining sperm and ova in a tube and then nurture in a laboratory tank for nine months – but that day is not now nor 6 weeks from now.

Since the far-right is so interested in saving embryos and now believes that embryos are viable outside the uterus from 6 weeks on, the obvious compromise is to allow the surgical delivery of the embryo and then allow the state to grow them into a child ex-vivo! Comments?

          • Kye says:

No, You may be confused on the biology of the embryo. It’s a HUMAN embryo. Not a whale, or duck or a snail. A human. That means killing it is MURDER. Like it or not FOLLOW THE SCIENCE. Never in the history of human embryos has one developed into anything else but a human.

The left’s “Follow the science” lie like it’s “My body, my choice” lie are for political convenience only and have no bearing on either science nor truth.

There are many stages of human being from cells to geriatrics. An honest man would admit that but you are not an honest man. You would rather argue your lies than face the truth. It’s who you are. A liar, a hater, a communist a racist. A follower of Sanger and Mengele.

But as guitarcarver says, nothing but hate.

          • Elwood P. Dowd says:

            Kye,

So it sounds as if you would also be very much opposed to in vitro fertilization, where ova and sperm are mixed in a dish and the fertilized ova (zygotes) are harvested, with some implanted and the rest frozen eventually to be discarded (murdered, in your opinion).

Is there any point where a zygote shouldn’t receive the full protection of the law? The morning after pill may block implantation of the zygote in the endometrial lining. Is that murder in your opinion?

Intrauterine devices (IUDs) likely block implantation of the zygote. Isn’t that murder? And likely it’s murder every time a man ejaculates in her vagina. Would you charge the doctor, the woman AND the man (if he knew she had an IUD) with 1st degree murder?

How would you control this by law? Would you ban all non-barrier forms of contraception as they all may interfere with the development of a zygote, hence murder.

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

gitarcarver: Citation please. (Regarding the Supreme Court of the United States’ ruling on mandatory vaccinations).

          Jacobson v Massachusetts, 1905.

gitarcarver: The Supreme Court has also ruled that a woman not convicted of any crime could be injected in order to sterilize her and prevent her from having children.

Citation please. Buck v Bell, 1927? Also, called the “Worst Supreme Court Ruling Evuh”. Not many involuntary sterilizations of women occurring today, even without Buck v Bell being directly overturned. Can you imagine a physician sterilizing a woman today without her permission? Do you think they could cite Buck v Bell for relief, or have other privacy and personal right cases obviated the relevance of Buck v Bell?

Anyway, we still have dozens of mandatory vaccines for school children, troops and healthcare workers. Some mandated by states, Feds and employers but it’s possible these laws will be successfully challenged and ruled unConstitutiona! Congrats!

So let’s see. Abortion still legal, mandatory vaccines still legal, but both under attack by the right who, after all, only have hate to sustain them.

gitarcarver: we have the right to inject you with whatever drugs we want (Which he falsely attributes to the his political foes).

It seems the argument centers on public health and vaccinations, not “whatever drugs”. We do fluoridate water as a public health initiative and force most Americans to drink it.

The state has attacked Christian Scientists for not giving children medical care deemed necessary to protect the life of the child. In over 50 cases between 1887 and the early 1990s, prosecutors charged Christian Scientists after adults and children died of treatable illnesses without medical care. Many conviction, acquittals and reversals on appeal. If a Type I diabetic child is dying from hyperglycemia should the state bypass the parent’s religious beliefs to save the child’s live with an insulin injection?

Should schizophrenics be forced into treatment? Should male sex offenders be castrated or given anti-androgens?

          • gitarcarver says:

            Jacobson v Massachusetts, 1905.

Thank you for the citation, but your conclusion is wrong.

Jacobson said that state – not the Federal government – could require a vaccination OR (it is the “or” that destroys your argument) pay a minimal fine.

So no, the Supreme Court did not allow governments to require vaccination. (And it certainly did not allow the Federal government to mandate vaccines on citizens in states.)

            Buck v Bell, 1927?

Yep. That would be the case.

Whether or not there are many involuntary sterilizations being performed is not the point. The point is that the Supreme Court has made some horrible decisions on the lives of people and children and Bell is one of those cases.

It should be noted that Bell was cited in Roe v. Wade in saying that the “right” to an abortion is not unlimited.

Actually, I am not confused at all. Heart starts to form at week 5, elements of the heart are heard at week six. We all understand that you have to deny science to make a point, but there was a specific reason why Texas went with 6 weeks. It is difficult to say that a 6 week old child is something other than a child, but those on the left want to describe it that way.

The “my body, my choice” people who like the idea of killing children never can realize that the child has a different blood type and DNA than that of the mother. It is not her body.

We understand that the left has to perform wild machinations to get around science, but one has to wonder why.

Why does the left hate science and children so much?

Could it be that all the left has is hate?

          • Elwood P. Dowd says:

So the Supreme Court of the United States has no influence over state laws. Got it.

If mandatory vaccinations are unConstitutional why are they available in every state, the Federal gov’t (military) and many private businesses.

The facts on the ground argue against you.

You claimed that electrical activity in heart precursor cells is a sign of viability. At this time a six week zygote is not viable outside the womb. Per usual you move the goalposts and slip around your own argument.

But then again, all you have is hate.

  3. drowningpuppies says:

    Again Trump was right.

A lawyer who allegedly advised the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign was indicted Thursday on a charge of lying to the FBI.
Federal prosecutors say Michael Sussmann, then a partner at Perkins Coie, lied when he offered a tip that year about a possible secret electronic channel between former President Donald Trump’s company and a Russian bank.
The charge against Sussmann was filed as part of special counsel John Durham’s investigation into the origins of a prior probe by the FBI and former special counsel Robert Mueller into possible coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign.

  4. Elwood P. Dowd says:

BOMBSHELL!! Special Counsel John Durham’s five year investigation into the FBI/Russia/trump admin rumors/probe yielded an indictment of lawyer Michael Sussman!

He is accused of telling a top F.B.I. lawyer that he WAS NOT REPRESENTING ANY CLIENT AT THE MEETING ABOUT THOSE SUSPICIONS. Prosecutors contend that he was actually representing BOTH a technology executive AND the Hillary Clinton campaign.

It is rumored that trump will ask for the death penalty.

    • drowningpuppies says:

Despite Rimjob’s, dipshit that he is, snarky attempt at misinformation about the indictment, hopefully Sussman will be persecuted and prosecuted for knowingly filing false information with the FBI and lying about it.

But with Joey’s DOJ one would doubt it.
