I’ve seen a lot of piling on Miss Biles, and don’t like it much. She has a case of the ‘twisties,’ something about which every gymnast seems to know; it is a loss of awareness of where a gymnast is in the air, and it could be seen in her very first floor exercise, where she didn’t just step out of bounds, but got completely off the pad. She just didn’t know where she was. She cut back her vault from a 2½ to a 1½, and even though she landed on her feet, it was a poor landing. Can you imagine being 12 feet in the air and not knowing where the ground was?
Why is she still there? I would imagine her transportation back to the United States was already arranged, and paid for, for after the closing ceremony, like every other athlete’s is. More, we expect injured football players to be on the sidelines, even when it’s bitterly cold and snowing, to remain part of the team, and support the team. That’s what Miss Biles is doing.

Teach wonders why the greatest gymnast in history, a black woman no less, remains at the Olympics after dropping out of some of her events for medical reasons. She rightly thought her condition could hurt her teammates’ chances (they won Silver without her!!), or injure herself. Has Teach seen her in action? Ms Biles said she had lost proprioception, the ability to know where her body was in space, sort of important for a gymnast. Anyway, 18 yr old Sunisa Lee of Minnesota won the women’s all-around Gold!! Lee’s parents were childhood refugees of Hmong descent from Laos. America is the greatest nation on Earth.
For some reason, American patriot Teach is concerned about how Australian is handling their own Delta variant outbreak.
nutRumpist Teach criticizes nuCon Gov Noem (R-SD) for supporting businesses over workers. When did the conservative movement become anti-business and pro-worker (but obviously anti-union)? tRumpism is a pseudo-populist movement fueling working-class white resentment and grievance against government, minorities, “elites”, immigrants, science etc. Note well the “pseudo”-populist descriptor. The movement is a white nationalist, autocratic, anti-democracy power play with the full support of the nuGOP.
