French and German politicians are offering up prayers that the attacker is not a “refugee”, as are all the American Democrats screeching about Trump’s “Muslim ban”
(Fox News) A group of four French soldiers were attacked Friday inside a shopping mall beneath the Louvre Museum in Paris by a machete-wielding man shouting “Allahu akbar,” authorities said.
One of the soldiers suffered minor injuries and the attacker was gravely wounded. A military spokesman said the soldiers tried to fight off the assailant before opening fire.
The soldier who was slightly injured was not the soldier who opened fire, according to authorities.
The investigation is in its early stages, but the head of police told Reuters that– based on the attackers remarks– authorities believe the suspect wanted to carry out a terror attack at the famed museum.
Reuters is reporting that a second person was arrested, but nothing is known at this time. The museum is Paris’ second largest tourist attraction. He was carrying two backpacks, of which the police said had no bombs.
There is a little confusion on the weapon. Some say a knife, some say a machete. He did have two machete’s on him, that we do know. Regardless, he received the gift of 5 bullets to the stomach for his troubles.
And, you can bet that if he is a “refugee”, the authorities will slow walk that bit of news.
Meanwhile, in the People’s Republik Of California
Diners at a Cheesecake Factory restaurant in Southern California had their meals interrupted Thursday night when a man tossed a homemade explosive device into the restaurant, officials said.
“This evening an incendiary device exploded within our Pasadena restaurant,” The Cheescake Factory said in a statement. “Thankfully, none of our guests or staff was injured. Law enforcement is actively investigating the incident and we hope to reopen in Pasadena on Friday, as usual.” (snip)
Citing witnesses, police described the suspect as a “male of Hispanic or Middle Eastern descent, 6’0, thin build, with a heavy beard and wearing all black clothing and a black beanie.”
Huh. The bomb did little more than really put out a lot of smoke. On this one, we may never know the full details.

What Jeffery is failing to tell you is that he is citing a Wikipedia article that is not on the KKK, but on “Christian Terrorism.” It is not surprising that an article seeking to blame Christianity would mention the KKK. However, there are notations on the article saying it is in dispute and that the article doesn’t prove its own summary.

The last jobs report of the Obama era was just released and is outstanding except wages were flat. Wages will likely drop as the trump economy weakens. Missouri is just getting ready to pass so-called “right to work” legislation which will harm workers.
Conservative economics will harm the economy as it always does. Rich guys like you and I will do OK though – the laws are on our side.
Don’t get me wrong, Democratic elite economic policy is not much better. Dems (and Repubs) supported trade deals that put American workers in direct competition with poorly paid foreign workers. Fed elites fight the hint of inflation by throwing millions of middle class workers out of work (Reagan did this famously in the early 80s – generating the highest unemployment rate in modern history). Republicans abhor fiscal stimulus even when needed. Every tax policy favors the wealthy over workers. Intellectual property laws (especially tied to global “trade” policies) reward the wealthy at the expense of consumers. And on and on.
trumpy wants to deregulate and cut taxes for the wealthy in hopes once again to see a mythological trickle down effect. The rich will get richer, the poor will get poorer.
Besides praying for Arnold Schwarzeneggar he wants to be able to funnel political donations tax free through tax exempt organizations, such as churches. If trumpy gets his way, Daddy BigBucks can give his favorite mosque one million tax-free who can turn around and give it to BigBucks’ favored candidate.

Really? The DOW closed at $18,259 on November 8, 2016. Today it closed at $20,071. That’s an increase of almost 10% in about 50 days of trading allowing for weekends and holidays. The DOW was at $13,000 Nov. 2012 so between 8/12 and 8/16 it gained 5,000 points, about 1,000 points PER YEAR. It gained 2,000 in the last 50 days.

You should know I am not rich, Jeffery. I have some rich friends and some very rich relatives but I’m firmly middle class. You know, I pay taxes. I have $2900 per month of Social Security which doesn’t even cover my RE taxes and homeowners per month. My wife still nets about $300k at her salons but she has a good offer for them and I do hope she sells by June. I’ve managed to put together a nice portfolio over 40 years of work and combined with my wife’s assets we are okay.
I was just trying to give you a head’s up on the market. If you trade short time like I do it’s a great place right now. But when I’ve netted over 144k since November and you tell me things are “pretty flat”. That makes me think that if the truth conflicts with your wants or your narrative then the truth is cast aside I favor of the other two. I doesn’t bode well for reliability and truthfulness if every word needs to be fact checked because politics trumps truth.

The argument wasn’t whether the KKK was founded by conservative Democrats – it was. The debate was whether it was a christian organization – which it also was. Fortunately for us all, the KKK as a formal organization has been reduced to a historical totem.
That is not to say that all modern christians are violent racists – they are not. Just as modern Democrats are not conservatives and all Muslims are killers.
