Climate Science Deserves a Nobel Prize Or Something

This is Slate trying to out Salon Salon in nuttiness.

Do you know why?

It may not have the wow factor of other sciences, but the goals are equally noble.

I don’t know about the wow factor. It’s pretty “wow” when someone cheats and manufactures data and results. People like Stalim, Mao, Chavezz, and many other authoritarians probably think the end goals are noble, too.

Climate science in the United States is in an existential crisis. President-elect Donald Trump has promised to cut funding for Earth science, and the Republican-controlled Senate and House of Representatives will probably make good on those promises. The broader scientific community has mostly stood in solidarity with climate researchers assaulted by denialism.

Sounds more like a religious or political movement, doesn’t it?

The rest is just trying to push this silly notion, but, hey, it might be a great idea, as it would certainly expose just how fraudulent the AGW science is, much like giving a Nobel to Obama.

Why hell, Michael Mann claimed he already had one or rather he used to until Mark Steyn called him on it.

Kinda like lying about serving in the Army.

I know for certain that CO2 does not cause anything. But I do have a theory on why the earth my be hotter. I just got back from Europe and can tell you that the temperature of the earth is being increased as a result of the high temps in European buildings, especially hotels. It is hotter in European rooms than the south in summer. Just the bleed off into the surrounding air would make the world hotter. Forget the C02 issue, just turn down the room temp.

Teach: Lest you forget… The average global surface temperature has increased significantly over the past century mostly from greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere from our burning of fossil fuels – coal, oil and gas. There is no predictable or foreseeable reason for this unnatural warming to stop, short of reducing the amount of greenhouse gas we emit.

It’s possible that a giant asteroid could smash the Earth spewing soot and dust in the atmosphere that could cause cooling. Or a massive volcanic eruption, e.g., the Yellowstone caldera could cause cooling. A global nuclear war might cause warming. Perhaps a new and unpredicted “wobble” in the Earth’s rotation could happen. Perhaps the Sun will suddenly cool significantly. What if there are gods who control the climate after all?

But the probability based on science predict the Earth will continue its warming (rapidly in geologic terms; gradually in human terms). This warming can continue for many decades if we reduce consumption of fossil fuels or for centuries if we continue business as usual.

The Denier scientist (but not a blogger) who falsifies the theory of AGW WILL win a Nobel. The scientist that invents a practical way to adsorb or capture atmospheric CO2 WILL win a Nobel!

Like I typed before, it’s kinda like lying about serving in the Army.

    Blow me, little loser guy.
