Young Female Voter Nails Hillary On Benghazi, Server

And Hillary is unable to give more than a typical foolish answer

(Washington Post) The question was just what Hillary Clinton asked for when she came to a small college campus Saturday to directly tackle the exodus of support for her among young voters, many of whom are drawn to opponent Bernie Sanders.

A young woman, speaking slowly, told Clinton she had worked for her in 2008. A smiling Clinton thanked her. But then the woman posed among the toughest challenges anyone has yet put to the former secretary of state. It covered the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya, on Clinton’s watch, and her use of a private email system for her government work.

“I’ve heard your somewhat pat answer,” that other secretaries of state had also used non-government email, the woman said. “But they didn’t have a private server.”

And why, she asked, did Clinton tell her daughter Chelsea Clinton on the night of the Benghazi attacks that they were the work of an al-Qaeda-like group, at a time when the public explanation was that a spontaneous protest over an anti-Islamic video had turned deadly.

The WP says Hillary looked “startled” and went into a long, rambling explanation, sounding very defensive, which included

“When Benghazi happened, it was the fog of war. There was no clear understanding, and there wasn’t for many, many days,” Clinton said. The group that had initially claimed responsibility withdrew that claim a day later, after Clinton had sent the email, she said.

That still doesn’t answer the question as to why she told her daughter (and others) that it was terrorism, then told the public that it was a video that no one had seen. Nor why the intelligence community was saying it was terrorism. Nor why she told others in private days later that it was terrorism, not a video. And she never answered the question on her server (she certainly doesn’t want to make a statement that can be used against her in a courtroom).

“But in the end of the day it was a terrorist attack,” Clinton said. “I wish I could give you an absolute answer,” she added, before posing a question of her own.

“Why is this being used as a great political issue? I really regret it is.”

She regrets that she’s being attacked for her actions and incompetence, not for leaving 4 Americans to die. Once again she attempts to turn the question around.

During much of the rest of the appearance, she played the “I’m a woman so misogyny” card.

As for the “fog of war” answer, well, do we really need a president who is not cool and calm in the face of adversity? One who is unable to answer that “3am call”? She stated Obama wasn’t ready for it, and she was right. She sure seems unable to answer it, and, if she manages to garner the Democratic nomination, she’ll have to answer questions from whoever the Republican nominee is. Cruz, Rubio, Trump, Christie, Fiorina, Carson, all would certainly come after her. Not so sure about Kasich or Bush. But, then, I doubt it will be anyone either than Cruz, Rubio, or Trump. And Hillary will get asked these questions. In public. In debates. And she’ll have to answer them.

Of course, this all supposes she isn’t under indictment by the time the general election period comes around. Not that Democrats will care. They seem not to care about either what happened in Benghazi nor Hillary’s illegalities with her home-brew, insecure server.

So now the argument is that Secretary Clinton’s misdeed was using her own private server instead of Hotmail or Gmail like previous Secretaries of State? Are Hotmail and Gmail considered secure?

Storing government documents on one’s Hotmail account is OK but not on one’s own server?

    Why is that?

    Oh. BENGHAZI!!

  2. Jeffery says:

And the WaPo “reporter” also novelized or editorialized just a bit, writing:

Clinton looked startled. … sounding more defensive as she went.

In another piece the same “reporter” wrote:

“There’s a real disconnect between the public figure and well-paid public figure she’s become and the kind of “I’m in it for the little guy” message she’s selling.”

Does the WaPo now get it’s marching orders from the RNC? Are rich people “in it for the little guy” all hypocrites?

FDR was wealthy and was certainly “in it for the little guy”. As were Teddy Roosevelt, JFK and LBJ.

The corporate media have hated the Clinton’s since they crawled out of the Arkansas hinterlands. Similarly they hate Palin (stupid Wasillbilly) and Gore (wooden, liar, rich, Clintonista). On the other hand they’ve loved Reagan (avuncular!), W (have a beer with!), McCain (brave, honest) and Obama (smart!).

Of course Jeffery misses the point that the previous Secretaries of State were working with a much more lax law. He also ignores that there was a Executive Directive issued by Obama that Clinton ignored.

So while the left lets out cries it “everyone did it!” (ignoring the fact that statement isn’t true,) they can’t seem to remember the David Petraeus scandal where they cried out for harsh punishment for a long serving military person who illegally allowed his lover and biographer to see information that was at a MUCH lower classification level for the purpose of writing a book.

And then there is the Valerie Plume scandal where a person went to jail for releasing the name or a former CIA operative. Clinton had two current humint sources on her unsecured server and those people were out in the open.

Leftists like Jeffery are desperate to try and say that Clinton broke no laws and even if she did, others did it too. Their position defies all reality.

That is why leftists are like little children – they refuse to accept any accountability for anything.

    Jeff,
Your knowledge and assumptions are horrible. You really don’t have a clue.

FDR–read the Forgotten Man, you will find out how bad it was for anyone under FDR. Are you aware that FDR made it illegal to have a kitchen garden? His price fixing made people starve. FDR engineered the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the aggressive actions against the US by the Japs, source, the National Park Service. I saw a large number of poor men being killed by his actions.

Teddy–another progressive pile of junk who took away a large number of our rights.

LBJ–are you kidding? Hay, hay, LBJ, how many men have you killed today. LBJ is the author of so much of the destruction of the middle class and manufacture of the welfare class. There is no defense of this clown. Why was he for Vietnam?? Well, Bell Helicopter was owned by him and so was the major ammunition plant in Texas.

JFK–he almost got us into a nuclear war, for what?? Thank good that the Russians had more principals than him. He was so pitifully stupid that it hurt. Just about everything you know about him is a lie.

Your analysis of events is horrible and associated with your hate. You need help.

  6. […] Pirates Cove has the Sorta Blogelss Sunday Pin Up Post and also Hillary getting nailed on Benghazi and Emails by a former supporter […]

  7. Jeffery says:

    dave,

I’m trying to stay out of these feces-flinging contests with you because you are so stupid.

    But really –

FDR engineered the bombing of Pearl Harbor

You’re more stupid than I gave you credit for.

Anyone? What law did Secretary Clinton break?

General Petraeus knowingly handed over classified material to his mistress, a reporter. To whom did Secretary Clinton knowingly give classified material? But actually I wish they had been easier on Petraeus, although the government was pretty easy on him anyway, as the charges were reduced to a misdemeanor.

18 U.S.C.A § 793 states: “Whoever, being entrusted with or having lawful possession or control of any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blueprint, plan, map, model, instrument, appliance, note, or information, relating to the national defense … (1) through gross negligence permits the same to be removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of his trust, or to be lost, stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, or (2) having knowledge that the same has been illegally removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of its trust, or lost, or stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, and fails to make prompt report of such loss, theft, abstraction, or destruction to his superior officer — shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.”

    BENGHAZI!!

  8. drowningpuppies says:

Yeah, and those silly FBI agents wasting their time and taxpayer dollars nvestigating Hillary for nothing.
One would think it’s just another right-wing
    witch hunt.
Nothing to see here, move along.

  9. david7134 says:

Wrong Jeff you have no knowledge of history either

  10. gitarcarver says:

Anyone? What law did Secretary Clinton break?

Did you actually read the law that you cited? Or did you just throw it up there as some sort of diversion?

18 U.S.C. 793 states: “Whoever, being entrusted with or having lawful possession or control of any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blueprint, plan, map, model, instrument, appliance, note, or information, relating to the national defense … (1) through gross negligence permits the same to be removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of his trust, or to be lost, stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, or (2) having knowledge that the same has been illegally removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of its trust, or lost, or stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, and fails to make prompt report of such loss, theft, abstraction, or destruction to his superior officer — shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.”

There is no doubt that the classified (sic) material was taken from it proper place of storage i.e. on a secure government computer.

    Then you have:

…..lost, or stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, and fails to make prompt report of such loss, theft, abstraction, or destruction to his superior officer…..

If you remember, Clinton testified that she and her team had deleted emails off her system. Those deleted emails contained “classified” emails.

    Also:

18 U.S. Code § 798, Whoever knowingly and willfully communicates, furnishes, transmits, or otherwise makes available to an unauthorized person, or publishes, or uses in any manner prejudicial to the safety or interest of the United States or for the benefit of any foreign government to the detriment of the United States any classified information….Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.

Clinton sent Sidney Blumenthal “classified” information he was not cleared to receive.

Section 1236.22 of the 2009 National Archives and Records Administration:

Agencies that allow employees to send and receive official electronic mail messages using a system not operated by the agency must ensure that Federal records sent or received on such systems are preserved in the appropriate agency record keeping system.

The Clinton server was not known or approved.

There are other laws as well:

    18 U.S. Code § 2071(b) — Concealment, removal, or mutilation generally.

This goes to the destruction of the server.

18 U.S. Code § 1505 – Obstruction of proceedings before departments, agencies, and committees

The destruction of the server took place AFTER the House issued a subpoena and AFTER there was a FOIA request made for the emails on her server.

18 U.S. Code § 1519 — Destruction, alteration, or falsification of records in federal investigations

Once again, the server was wiped AFTER the records were subpoenaed.

Clinton didn’t break A law – she broke multiple laws.
