Healthcare.gov May Or May Not Work Sunday

It’s all about shifting the goalposts

(Washington Post) Administration officials are preparing to announce Sunday that they have met their Saturday deadline for improving HealthCare.gov, according to government officials, in part by expanding the site’s capacity so that it can handle 50,000 users at once. But they have yet to meet all their internal goals for repairing the federal health-care site, and it will not become clear how many consumers it can accommodate until more people try to use it.

Interestingly, there’s still no mention of whether the important part, namely transmitting info to the insurance companies and collecting payment, which is rather important, will work

“I continue to believe, and [I am] absolutely convinced, that at the end of the day, people are going to look back at the work we’ve done to make sure that in this country you don’t go bankrupt when you get sick, that families have that security,” Obama said. “That is going be a legacy I am extraordinarily proud of.”

Whether or not the website works is not the actual point, it’s simply a sideline of the utter failure of the legislation, highlighting that the government is incompetent.

At the end of the day, what matters are the blatant lies, the intentional fraud, the tens of millions losing/will lose their health insurance, the artificial increases in premiums and deductibles, forcing people to buy a product or be penalized, reduction in health network access, the coming rationing and “death panels”, people being moved from standard insurance to Medicaid, people who push it refusing to sign up for it themselves, the waivers, the intrusion into our health decisions.

Obama can believe what he wants, but at the end of the day this legislation will be a failure.

You, of course, hope it’s a failure, but it will succeed and become part or our way of life.

Conservatives despise the poor (even though many are poor). Your elites have brainwashed you into believing lazy Negroes are lounging around off your hard-earned taxes! In the meantime these elite plutocrats are transferring the taxes you’ve paid into tax cuts for themselves. Cool deal for them.

Can the richest, most powerful nation in the history of nations find a way to guarantee affordable quality healthcare to the least among us?

Well Jeffy, you have managed to hit all the talking points of the left in a single post.

The fact that they aren’t true doesn’t matter to you, but that is the type of person you are.

Conservatives aren’t hoping the ACA will fail because it will have been more money don the tubes with nothing to show for it. But fail it will, no matter what you say because the numbers and the economics aren’t there.

But facing that reality, liberals like yourself are trying to pivot and blame conservatives.

You throw in race because why? Well, because you like to throw the race card around when in fact liberals through their policies have done more to keep minorities oppressed.

So when conservatives were offering other alternatives to health care, liberals were blocking those alternatives and lying to the American pubic.

    How deep are those lies?

You can’t keep your doctor. You can’t keep your health plan. The ACA isn’t driving costs down – in fact it is driving them up. The White House knew that the idea of insuring 24 million people or so would require 80 – 100 million people to lose their health care and yet they continued to press the lies.

There are many things that can be said about the discussion on the ACA, but the one you and your ilk cannot run away from is that to get the plan passed, you had to lie to everyone.

You must be so proud of that.

As for taxes, just out of curiosity, does your company take all the tax breaks it can? Or do you tell your accountant to just not take those breaks? When you had kids at home, did you take the child tax deduction?

Those are rhetorical questions because we all know that you do and did.

So once again we see how you are happy living with your lies and hypocrisy.

  4. Hey, GC, remember when Dems were actively rooting for defeat in Iraq (and some also wanted defeat in Afghanistan) ? They had large demonstrations, brought up legislation, worked hard to lose. Heck, they wanted everything during the Bush years to fail. They wanted the economy to tank. Wanted high unemployment. Stocks in the toilet. Rooted for America’s enemies.

Now they have the gall to trot out the failure for ocare meme.
