Feinstein’s “Gun Control” Law Goes For Broke, Treats Gun Owners As Criminals

It is more than likely going nowhere. Senate Majority leader Harry Reid, himself a supporter of 2nd Amendment rights (hey, one good mark for him), may not even bring it up for a vote, instead allowing it to languish in committee. And, if he does bring it up, he may not have the votes. And, if it somehow manages to pass, it’ll die in the House. That doesn’t matter to DiFi, who’s intent on adding massive restrictions to the guns law abiding citizens can own

(NRA) According to a Dec. 27th posting on Sen. Feinstein’s website and a draft of the bill obtained by NRA-ILA, the new ban would, among other things, adopt new definitions of “assault weapon” that would affect a much larger variety of firearms, require current owners of such firearms to register them with the federal government under the National Firearms Act, and require forfeiture of the firearms upon the deaths of their current owners. Some of the changes in Feinstein’s new bill are as follows:

The legislation would effectively ban any rifle and shotgun with a pistol grip.

It would ban any “semiautomatic, centerfire, or rimfire rifle that has a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds,” except for tubular-magazine .22s.

It would also ban any handgun that has a fixed magazine that can hold more than 10 rounds.

Every magazine that holds more than 10 rounds must be stamped by the manufacturer. But, it also bans the manufacturing of any magazine that holds more than 10 rounds. Because 10 is safe, and 11 isn’t.

Any scary looking weapon assault rifle must be turned in to The Government upon death of the owner.

And then there is this

Requires owners of existing “assault weapons” to register them with the federal government under the National Firearms Act (NFA). The NFA imposes a $200 tax per firearm, and requires an owner to submit photographs and fingerprints to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE), to inform the BATFE of the address where the firearm will be kept, and to obtain the BATFE’s permission to transport the firearm across state lines.

This treats people who legally purchased their scary looking weapons as criminals, regarding fingerprints and photos. And sure seems to retroactively levy a tax in violation of Article 1, Section 9, Clause 3, ex post facto laws.

No word on whether DiFi will do away with any armed security for herself and her office.

While I was watching and listening attentively to California’s Senator Dianne “Ditzy” Feinstein’s blatherings yesterday, I thought to myself that that very strange woman was neither rational, nor logical, nor even coherent at intervals, a distinct impression which I have gotten whenever I have listened to her on other occasions, also.

It occurs to me, therefore, that instead of having hearings on Gun Controls, perhaps Congress should have competency hearings on Senator Dianne Feinstein to evaluate her fitness to be a U. S. Senator. (Or to be let out of a padded cell without a straight-jacket and without an attending psychiatric nurse.)

In my opinion, she proves that Liberalism is a mental illness indigenous to retards, and, consequently, she is unfit to present any kind of legislation. I’m serious. She is so far around the bend and so loony that she is a little scary. At the very least, she is senile.

    Just say’n.

Can you believe that I have been reading comments on the Huffington Post from people that are thanking this facist twit for her efforts and are proud that she represents the State of California! I believe she should be more concerned about the gang problems in her own State and the fear that they instill in those poor people out there. I would have a bazooka in my arsenal if I lived in that godawful State!

Brian, nicely done. Liberalism is definitely a mental disorder.

LB- I can’t even go to the Huffpo website, or I lose my lunch all over my desk and cooncurrently feel as though I need to shower. But similar moronic folks on Facebook are doing the same back patting.

They’re really poking the bear. It’s getting mighty angry now.

require gun owners to obtain the BATFE’s permission to transport the firearm across state lines.

Yeah, this is wholly illegal, unconstitutional and immoral.

i’ve also read where this new ban on guns and magazines would NOT apply to government officials and LEOs. Sorry, but I think we are done with this two-sided class structure.

We are NOT going to allow the government to remove our means of defense while at the same time allowing the government to become overly armed.

The time of subjugation is over.

That is nothing new, “L.B.”. For many years, a huge growth industry in California, and an industry for which that wacky state is perhaps best known is its production and export of fruits and nuts.

In fact, their easily identifiable fossil remains have been found in the La Brea Tar Pits.

If there is a God, any day now the San Andreas Fault will open up and that seedy den of iniquity will disappear into the Pacific Ocean, and it will be good riddance.

BTW, I heard that “Crazy Di” herself has a permit to carry a concealed pistol …, and that psycho wants to pass legislation that will disarm other psychos? What is wrong with that picture?

Right (again). There are code words throughout that legislation that its intent is to disarm Republicans.

I was saying four years ago that Obama, the Congressional Black Caucus and their slimy white sycophants in Congress are certainly as dangerous if not even more dangerous than the Nazis and the Soviets were.

Obama is a madman. You know that, don’t you?

And here I thought that I was the only
one who had that feeling whenever I’ve heard slimy Democrats tell lies without
a twinge of conscience, guilt, shame or
remorse. They’re evil, not just immoral.

she wants to register them ?? you mean like cars and dogs ? That sounds just like what Hitler did. Oh wait, actually Hitler loosened the gun control laws on all German citizens except Jews.
