Greenest President Evah! Flies Barber In From Chicago Every 2 Weeks Or So

Via NoTricksZone we see that Obama cares more about getting his hair cut than his carbon footprint

Not only does he not feel bad about the tab taxpayers have to pick up for his haircuts, President Obama obviously also does not care much about the massive carbon footprint his haircuts are leaving on our planet which, we are told, is tipping precariously.

With each passing day, Barack Obama is looking more and more like the Imelda Marcos President.

German public radio here has a gossip report on how the world’s most likable Commander-in-chief gets his haircut, and about the cool dude who trims his hair. The President is a man of the common people, the report tells its listeners. He hangs out with regular folks, like his barber for example. Obama’s Chicago barber, who goes by the name Zariff, has been cutting the Chief Executive’s hair 17 years.

It’s no wonder he avoids talking about climate change as of late, what with his barber taking unnecessary fossil fueled flights every 10-14 days.

Jesus Teach read ther article Obama pays for the flight ticket not the tax payers.

  2. formwiz says:

Any idea how old that picture is?

Looks like something from the 50s.

  3. Jon, you basically looked at the comments at No Tricks Zone (link fixed) and took the word of a commenter who created “Obama personally funds the trips” out of air. The original story doesn’t say that in translation (http://www.microsofttranslator.com/bv.aspx?from=de&to=en&a=http://www.tagesschau.de/schlusslicht/obamasfrisoer100.html)

I assume you’re referring to the previous post, formwiz. I found it out and about, but I don’t think it is very old. There’s a few folks who make pinup calendars and try and make them look 50’s, which is why I love ones like that.

Clearly John can’t see the hypocrisy in this story.

Obama tells everyone they should cut down on energy expenditures and be “efficient,” but flies a guy in from Chicago to cut his hair.

Obama tells everyone that it is Romney who can’t understand the plight of the middle class working person, as if we all have the money to fly in the a barber from Chicago.

This is just another case of “don’t do as I do, do as I say,” from the left.

The only good news in this is that Obama and the DOE didn’t allocate $500 million to a company to develop solar powered hair clippers.

  5. “Solar powered clippers”….don’t give him ideas, GT!

  6. Trish says:

Because what? There are no decent haridressers in DC? Surely there must be one who can touch up the gray in O’s hair. No, he does this because he likes spreading the wealth around to his Chicago pals.

  7. Dana says:

I’m hoping that this story isn’t really true. It’s not like the President has some special style he maintains, but he just has it one length, all over, that a first week barber student could do with clippers.

  8. Well, one of the things is that he trusts this barber, as does the Secret Service, no big thing around any POTUS.

Of course, surely there are some barbers in the DC area who the USSS trust to essentially give a few snips of hair.

  9. gitarcarver says:

I thought of that too Teach. That would be somewhat of a benefit to have a guy that the Secret Service has vetted and cleared.

But if we go that route, one has to wonder how Joe Barber gets his equipment through airports and all that. Is that cleared by the Secret Service via a special dispensation. I mean, if Joe Barber is treated like everyone else in this world, he would have to arrive at O’Hare 2 hours minimum before his flight takes off and then the same thing at Reagan. That is 4 hours sitting there doing, well, doing nothing. For most barber shops they can’t afford to be down that long which gets back to the price the President is paying for the haircut and who is paying for it.

Furthermore, I’d be interested somewhat how many times the guy has stayed at the White House. If he has, he is chowing down on taxpayer food.

There is a lot that is off kilter about this story if it is true the President is having a Chicago barber flown in to cut his hair.

To me, that is simply another example of his inability to lead and be an example for people. If the government paid for this extravagance, that does not mitigate the hypocrisy – it only makes it worse.
