Obama Approval Rating At All Time Low

Who or what should be blamed for this? The Japanese earthquake has been blamed already, but, perhaps we can blame the Virginia earthquake?

As concerns about the struggling U.S. economy grow, a new CBS News/New York poll finds that President Obama’s overall approval rating has dropped to 43 percent, the lowest so far of his presidency in CBS News polling. In addition, his disapproval rating has reached an all-time high of 50 percent.

Views of the president’s job performance are marked by a striking degree of polarization along party lines — the vast majority of Democrats approve (78 percent), while even more Republicans disapprove (89 percent) of how he’s handling his job. But only 37 percent of independents approve, with 54 percent disapproving.

The big point is the independents. Lemming-like Democrats will vote for Obama, and generally give him high marks, no matter what. But, it is the independents who will make or break his re-election bid.

The poll also found that 39 percent of Americans say the economy is fairly bad, and another 47 percent say the economy is very bad – the highest percentage since April 2009. Meanwhile, 13 percent say the economy is fairly good and just one percent say it is very good.

In addition, 72 percent of Americans think the country is on the wrong track — the highest percentage so far since the president took office. Just 23 percent think the country is currently in the right direction.

As for Mr. Obama’s rating on the economy, just 34 percent approve of the way he has handled the economy, with 57 disapproving. And on the issue of job creation, 40 percent approve and 53 percent disapprove.

In the poll, just one in four Americans thinks Mr. Obama has made real progress fixing the economy, with 68 percent saying they do not think he has. Americans are more skeptical now than they were a year ago, when 35 percent said he made progress.

Do they have any good news for Obama? Any? Because the economy will not get better as long as he is pushing his same old tired plans and ideas

As for Mr. Obama’s latest proposal to lower unemployment, the American Jobs Act he presented to Congress last week, the public is split. While 64 percent say they have heard about the bill, Americans are divided as to whether the plan will actually create jobs. Nearly half of Americans are at least somewhat confident that Mr. Obama’s proposals will create jobs and stimulate the economy –12 percent are very confident and 36 percent are somewhat confident. But about the same amount — 47% — are not confident his plan will do that.

There is a wide partisan divide on views of the jobs plan. Four in five Republicans don’t have confidence that the plan will create jobs – while about as many Democrats do. Fifty-two percent of independents are not confident.

Well, I guess there isn’t any good news. Which means it is time for……more speeches! That’ll do it.

And that, is the scariest thing of all this. 20%-35% of Americans are utterly stupid, intentionally misinformed, and to ignorant to determine the truth in words and deeds.

The democrats have spent decades and trillions of dollars to create this illiterate electorate. They have made promise after promise to those who aren’t even legally allowed to vote, allowing them to vote, and suggesting that they are the true power in this nation.

These people also just don’t care what happens to this nation and will vote for anything that leads to its destruction.

And then, the so-called independents. These are the people to cowardly to take a stand. Some call these people “issue voters”. That just means they are selfish and only care about what THEY themselves can get out of politics. THus… again, they are the uninformed illiterate democrat-trained democrats.

If we can’t turn this growing illiteracy around, then there is absolutely no hope for this nation…… as the stupid people take over.

When they aske people if they think the jobs bill will help, do they ask them if they have any idea what is in the bill? I looked at the thing and can’t see any aspect that directly addresses the issue of jobs. They talk of working on schools, but that is not a big job creator. Mostly what I see is they want more taxes. That would be a very good idea. That would tank whatever economy we have left. This would allow Obama to get into even more businesses and move from socialism to communism.

As to party lines, do they really exist? I have been a Republican, yet they really don’t represent what I think. They are either on some religious crusade or trying to compromise with the communist. I was listening to Carville yesterday, and he doesn’t know what the Democratic party represents or the direction that it is taking. So I really don’t think people can be viewed as affiliated with a particular party. None of the Republican candidates are expecially good and the Republican message is only that they are not Obama.

We are in trouble and it will be interesting what the future will bring.

  3. And a big part of the jobs bill is that you try and read it and it is all in political speak, and you have no idea what it really says. Chump was out there this am telling people to rrad the bill…..wait, didn’t he say just pass it now?…..and people would be like “huh? WTF does that say?”

At most the aid to the states might slow the rate of job losses in blue and public sector union states. The red states will receive far less if any money. To each according to his need you know. As for improving the economy even what little sugar rush may be created by massive boost to infrastructure will take months to kick in. Economies don’t turn around on a dime not matter how good new policies are. Even when Reagan’s policies were implemented as soon as he took office (the tax cuts were delayed two years) it took years for the effects to start producing results. The bolshes like to make comparisons between Reagan and Obama there are no similarities.

The gub’mint is also lying out its backside.

Inflation is way freakin higher then 2 percent.

I went to the grocery store the other day and was flabberghasted at the prices.

A tv dinner 1 year ago was 2.50. Its now 5.99 for the same one.

Ice Cream 1 year ago was 2.79….Its now 6.29.

Can vegetables were .79 today they are 1.29

Hamburger used to be 1.99/lb. Today your lucky if a sale has it 2.99 and the regular price is now 3.59/lb…..almost 100 percent increases in prices.

Go everywhere….everyones learned that they just raise their prices by 25 percent to make up for the 25 percent decrease in sales because of the recession and they are still making the same money they did even though we are in a recession.

This is why so much money is sitting on the sidelines and the Democrats are furious because of it. They simply do not realize that they have shown business a new way of dealing with recessions.
