Beer Monday: Bitter Folks In Pa. Explain Obama

Happy Monday! The start of a new work week, time to get busy, shift a few paradigms, send a few kudos fax blasts. How ’bout a beer?

Via Insty, Obama gets scewered and really needs that beer (Pittsburg Tribune-Review)

This nation has a history of looking closely at its candidates and taking their measure before they vote for them. It is a process that Obama shuns and rival Hillary Clinton thrives on — and therein lies the problem for Democrats.

Exactly. Don’t we want to know who our elected critters are, both personally and politically? Remember Mr. Monkey Business? People got to know him. Or how about Rock Us Dukakis? That didn’t work too well. Reagan came out and let people know him both politically and personally, and, to the best of my recollection, it worked pretty well.

Al Gore let people know that he was not actually a cyborg, and came close to winning. Howard Dean let people know he was a raving psychotic, and, surprisingly, it was the Democrats who gave him the heave ho. Bill Clinton went out and faked it enough to get elected twice. Dubya let people know who he is, and, you either love him or hate him.

Barack NMN Obama doesn’t want people to know who he actually is, because, the more we know, the more we find out that he is not this clean politician of hope and change and change and hope, please give the paramedics a lane to get to that liberal man who passed out, but a person who is elitist, doesn’t like America very much, is quite possibly bigoted towards white people, and is an empty suit policy wise and too thin skinned to be President.

Obama, who leads both in pledged delegates and in the popular vote, cannot close the gap with lunch-pail Democrats, older voters and (for lack of a better term) white people.

Yes, Obama won lunch-pail Democrat votes in caucuses, but remember: Caucus participants, for the most part, are party activists who cling to the farthest-left end of the platform; they are not Middle America.

So why the disconnect with the Democrats’ core constituency?

The appearance is that Obama does not understand them; they are outside the realm of his “change” message. His original “change” agenda did not force him to relate with Middle America in order to win.

That pretty much stands on its own. Though I enjoy the malarkey the Credentialed Media throws around about Republicans becoming Obama voters. I doubt it is happening very much. Except for Exitable Andy. I think he wants to have Obama’s baby.
