Coalition and Iraqi Troops Smash Training Site, plus Silver and Bronze

Hmm, I missed this in the Big Media (from Defend America, a site that certainly gives Liberals the vapors)

In a roar of rotor blades and a blast of small rocks and dust, UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters dropped a group of Iraqi and Coalition soldiers in a damp field in Northern Iraq.

The Iraqi soldiers and paratroopers from Company D, 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, with support from helicopters from 1st Battalion, 150th Aviation Regiment, West Virginia Army National Guard, attached to the 2nd Battalion, 25th Aviation Regiment, 25th Combat Aviation Brigade, immediately set up defensive positions and began scouring the area.

“It’s a joint mission with Iraqi army soldiers checking out a possible cache,” said Sgt. 1st Class Chad Eske, the platoon sergeant with 3rd Platoon, Company D, 2-505 PIR, 82nd Airborne Division. “Basically whatever we find we’ll blow in place and do some tactical questioning with residents in the area.”

The mission, dubbed Operation Clean Sweep, was in response to a report of a suspicious area seen by air crew members as they flew missions over the area. Littering the site were piles of empty ammunitions tubes and boxes.

The day would prove fruitful as the Iraqi and Coalition soldiers would ultimately discover an apparent insurgent training site complete with mortar tubes, rocket propelled grenade launchers, blank ammunition rounds and training boards covered in diagrams explaining how to use various weapons.

Then they destroyed them. Good job, troopers!

Meanwhile, an individual great job

A soldier who helped pull his wounded men from a burning vehicle and ran alone through the streets of Ramadi to get them evacuated was awarded the Silver Star, Jan. 27.

Staff Sgt. David S. Anderson, a section leader with 1st Platoon, B Company, 1st Battalion, 36th Infantry with Task Force 1-37 under 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division, was also presented the Army Commendation Medal with Valor during a ceremony on Camp Ramadi.

Two other soldiers from the same unit, Staff Sgt. Jason P. Trumpower of Norwalk, Ohio, and Spc. Edward Reyes of Coral Springs, Fla., distinguished themselves in the same Sept. 24 incident and were awarded Bronze Stars with Valor.

I just watched the ‘RADICAL ISLAM’ E.D. Hill special on the Fox News Channel and I’m thankful for our U.S. military personnel and covert para-military forces that are taking it to Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan & Iraq so we don’t have to kill the radical Islamic bastards HERE. But after watching this superb one-hour special, it’s only a matter of months or a FEW years before the ‘United States’ will have to take extreme measures to deal with the extreme radical Islamic matters! The survival of western civilization depends on the consequences of our…inactions! Mr. Pat Buchanan has been RIGHT all along. Please
God…deliver US from evil…are you ready? Let’s Roll! Amen!!
