Al-Qaida conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui escaped the death penalty Wednesday as a jury decided he deserved life in prison instead for his role in the bloodiest terrorist attack in U.S. history. “America, you lost,” Moussaoui taunted.
Me, I wanted the SOB dead, dead, dead. Of course, with the way our system works, it would have been 20+ years before he was painlessly put to death, while asleep, in the wee hours of the morning.
I’m sure everyone else has their own takes on this in the Right-O-Sphere. But, how about in Liberal World?
The Huff Puff: seething about Bush/Cheney/Republicans, but not much in the thread about Moussaoui. Full scale BDS/WAB.
Daily Kos, Americablog, Eschaton, Political Animal, Talking Points Memo, Common Dreams, and Crooks and Liars, among others: bupkiss as of this time.
Various forums: blaming Bush for M getting life. So, I guess they NOW want Bush to break the law, eh?
Andrew Sullivan: a well thought out, though short, post. Pretty much what one expects from him.
And the Democratic Underground? While most who comment on the verdict are glad he wasn’t given the death penalty, they are happy he was found guilty. And almost not BDS! I’m impressed. Actually, I’m shocked, but, hey.
Well, after a perusal through the Right-O-Sphere, with about 75 blogs on my RSS reader, bupkiss, as well. Rather disappointing.
Quick update: looks like Bloglines is a bit slow. Captain Ed has something up, as does The Jawa Report, and Hot Air has a roundup. Yup, Bloglines was really boned on this one.
