Nearly 71% Of Doctors Polled Find Hillary’s Health Concerning

This comes to us via Zero Hedge, who notes all the media hand-wringing and “just move alongs”

Hillary’s Health Concerns Serious, Say Most Doctors Polled by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS)

Concerns about Hillary Clinton’s health are “serious—could be disqualifying for the position of President of the U.S.,” say nearly 71% of 250 physicians responding to an informal internet survey by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS). About 20% said concerns were “likely overblown, but should be addressed as by full release of medical records.” Only 2.7% responded that they were “just a political attack; I have confidence in the letter from her physician and see no cause for concern.”

While more than 81% were aware of her history of a concussion, only 59% were aware of the cerebral sinus thrombosis, and 52% of the history of deep venous thrombosis.

More than 78% said the health concerns had received “not enough emphasis” in the media, and only 2.7% that there had been “too much emphasis.”

Nearly two-thirds said that a physician who had a concern about a candidate’s fitness to serve for health reasons should “make the concerns known to the public.” Only 11% said a physician should “keep silent unless he had personally examined the patient,” and 10% that the candidate’s health was “off limits for public discussion.”

They are certainly all right wing sexists and conspiracy theory lovers, you know!

Eighty-eight respondents submitted comments. One said that “the public interest will ALWAYS override either privacy rights or rights of self-determination in the case of a presidential candidate.” Another mentioned Clinton’s “so called loss of memory claimed during her FBI questioning about her email server.” Beyond the specific questions, one remarked that “I think that the candidate should be honest with the public about his/her health!” The history of the concussion was concerning: “The public must watch the movie Concussion to realize that such an injury does affect thought process.”

Many of the comments show that many of the doctors are against Hillary, regardless. Some make great points, others are partisan. Some say Trump should release his records, and that both should be examined by renowned physicians with the results made public.

But, hey, we’re told that The attacks on Hillary Clinton’s health are nasty. They’re also failing. and Can we just stop talking about Hillary Clinton’s health now? Oh, and Sarah Silverman: People Who Question Hillary Clinton’s Health Are ‘A**holes’. Then Dem Senator: It’s ‘Sexist’ to Question Hillary’s Health.

It will be interesting to see if Rasmussen, Gallup, or some other big polling source will conduct a poll to see if this is important to the American people. Because health matters. Both candidates should release all their records. If Trump was having the coughing fits and problems Hillary seems to be going through and has gone through, you can bet liberals and the media would be questioning.

  1. Jeffery says:

American Association of Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS):

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons is a politically conservative non-profit association founded in 1943 to “fight socialized medicine and to fight the government takeover of medicine.”

And an “informal internet survey” yet. So the AAPS invites its members, “conservatives” who “fight the government takeover of medicine” to opine on candidate Clinton’s health, and then reports the results of their “survey”. LOL

This exemplifies the problem with conservablogs. We can be sure that Drudge will report that 71% of Doctors blah blah blah, just as you did.

Nearly 71% Of Doctors Who are Members of a Conservative Organization “Fighting the Government Takeover of Medicine”, Responding to an Informal Online Survey Find Hillary’s Health Concerning

    There, fixed it for ya.

    Post.Truth.America.

  2. Hoagie says:

Jeffery’s double standard. So it’s “settled science” if 94% of scientists polled think AGW is real even though they make their living from AGW grants but since “someone” has decided the AAPS is conservative* they are somehow suspect.

First off I couldn’t care less what 71% of doctors said about any person they did not personally see. That’s the argument, not “my partisans are better than your partisans”.

*You think because a person “fights the government takeover of health care” he’s conservative? Then you’re an idiot. He’s a person smart enough to want choice in his health care options not be told by a bureaucrat what he “has” to buy.

I think abortion should be legal, by your standards I’m a liberal.

  3. Jeffery says:

    Hoagie,

So we agree that the survey is worthless and Mr. Teach does us all a disservice by trumpeting it.

Let’s address one lie at a time, please. A right-wing physician’s group trumps up a “survey” attacking candidate Clinton. Let’s just admit it’s deeply “flawed”, absolutely meaningless (accept to note that right-wing doctors oppose Clinton) and move on.

Some of the positions from their “medical journal” (J Am Phys and Surg):
immigrants are bringing leprosy to the US
    abortion causes breast cancer
    vaccines cause autism
    HIV does not cause AIDS
cutting carbon emissions represents a grave threat to global health
    opposes government vaccine policies
    opposes computerized medical record keeping
opposes peer review of medical journal articles

I DO agree with your withering criticism of Mr. Teach for trumpeting a meaningless partisan survey. Mr. Teach is attempting to mislead his loyal readers, but maybe it was inadvertent. Maybe he’ll admit his mistake.

  4. drowningpuppies says:

Another, uh, err… ‘plausible’ ‘just move along’ story…

But really, how can an objective observer not find problems with this latest story, which suggests a dark conspiracy indeed: An errant engineer decides on his own volition to delete e-mails from her private account after a congressional committee orders them preserved?

    http://www.denverpost.com/2016/09/08/a-fish-story-in-platte-river-networks-purge-of-clinton-e-mails/

    Drip, drip, drip…

  5. Hoagie says:

I do agree their survey is worthless, Jeffery.* I have neither read nor do I care about the other items since they have nothing to do with the original statement. They could believe pigs fly for all I care that has no bearing on whether they are correct for diagnosing a person they haven’t met.

A right-wing physician’s group trumps up a “survey” attacking candidate Clinton. Let’s just admit it’s deeply “flawed”, absolutely meaningless (accept to note that right-wing doctors oppose Clinton) and move on.

I also figure it would be fair to assume left-wing doctors oppose Trump as would a left-wing physicians group like the AMA.

*Since their survey is worthless why would you care? I don’t.

  6. john says:

Hoagie that poll is from a group that comprises about 5000 out of the more than 850000 doctors in the USA That number is nowhere close to being comparable
Teach has posted as somehow newsworthy that a group that comprises about 00.5% of all American doctors think that Hillary has a health problem That is a group of doctors so far off of mainstream American medical knowledge and practices that they still think that they don’t believe HIV does not cause AIDS.
Teach will willingly post such tripe without any evaluation of the source in an attempt to mislead.
So Hoagie would you say that Teach did attempt to mislead us by posting this worthless “poll”?

  7. Hank_M says:

“would you say that Teach did attempt to mislead us by posting this worthless “poll”?”

And yet you and others use the equally invalid 97% consensus on “global warming”
I suspect our host is using your own [lack of] logic against you.

  8. Liam Thomas says:

The 42nd president on Wednesday, while stumping in Orlando for Hillary Clinton, suggested Trump’s campaign rallying cry, “Make America Great Again,” is racist code.

    However

The problem is, Clinton himself has used the same phrase several times in the past.

He used it repeatedly while running for president in 1991 and 1992, declaring at one Little Rock, Ark., event, “Together, we can make America great again.”

Both of the Clintons are SENILE….I think there health is indeed a problem for both of them.

  9. Hank_M says:

I know Liam, but Bill was supposedly our first BLACK president. Not sure what that makes Obama.

  10. Hoagie says:

Hoagie that poll is from a group that comprises about 5000 out of the more than 850000 doctors in the USA That number is nowhere close to being comparable

John, once more I will tell you: the TRUTH is not a poll. So whether they are 5000 out of 850000 or 200 out of a million it doesn’t matter. The TRUTH is a diagnosis without personal contact isn’t very useful.

Do you actually make your decisions based on polls, because you are always quoting them?

  11. Hoagie says:

BTW john, if you believe Teach is trying to mislead you stop visiting his site. Personally, I think like any good promoter Teach is being provocative. Mission accomplished, Mr. Teach!

  12. david7134 says:

Hillary herself indicated that she was too ill to be president. She clearly told the FBI that she could not remember the most important elements of her job as head of State. You don’t need a doctor to give an opinion after those statements. But as a doctor, I will tell you she is sick as hell and needs a nursing home, not the office of president.

  13. Hoagie says:

What amuses me the most about both john and Jeffery is that had Trump stayed a democrat and was running as the democrat candidate and let’s say Cruz was running as the Republican they would be all about how wonderful Trump is and how bad and evil and a racist Cruz is. It’s amazing what a little (R) after someone’s name can do to the leftist mind. Here’s a guy, Trump, a leftist democrat his entire life who switches sides to run for office and now he’s worse than Reagan to the democrats. To me he’s a lousy bum and still a NY lefty democrat but at least he’s no communist which is what I consider Hillary to be. Let’s face it, we are choosing between two corrupt, lying, cheating, immoral, narcissistic thieves for president. And if Trump wins the leftists will brand him as a “conservative” and he doesn’t have a conservative bone in his body. Just like they did to that liberal pinhead George W. Bush.

  14. david7134 says:

    Hoagie,
The days of electing a decent conservative are over. Trump seems like a good guy. But anything looks good up against Hillary.

Oh, I checked and Hillary has had memory problems her whole life. In fighting the crime she committed in Arkansas, she could not remember anything then. Her mental capacity is really compromised. Also, note that her memory loss was long term type. Most people with stoke and trauma lose short term memory. To lose long term you really have to have major brain injury.

  15. Jeffery says:

    Teach,

Any response to being called out as a dishonest hack by Hoagie?

  16. Liam Thomas says:

I am not a crook. Richar M. Nixon

“I suppose I could have stayed home and baked cookies and tea.” Hillary Clinton hates women.

“What difference does it make?” Demands a befuddled Mrs. Clinton as she reacts to the deaths of state department personnel under her care.

“I don’t remember.” Said Richard Nixon.

“I don’t remember.” Said Hillary Clinton.

  17. drowningpuppies says:

    Let’s face it.

The documented wrongs committed by the Hag are real and vastly worse than any of the little guy’s exaggerated speculation about possible future misdeeds by Trump.

    Liberals are not very smart.

  18. drowningpuppies says:

Currently watching the Hag reading her prepared speech in NY and clearly she’s heeded her handlers’ advice to tone it down, speak in a soft monotone voice to express an inner gentle confidence and obviously there’s someone coaching her through her earpiece telling her for fuck sake don’t start coughing.

  19. So we agree that the survey is worthless and Mr. Teach does us all a disservice by trumpeting it.

When you pay for my bandwidth and stuff, you get to make that choice. I bet you’d have no problem if I posted a poll from a left leaning partisan site. And, it looks like you are discussing. Hell, if I posted a poll from Media Matters which said that 71% of doctors polled etc. were concerned with Trum[p’s health, I bet you’d be all for the poll. You can’t honestly tell me I’m wrong.

This is campaign season. You guys were apoplectic about Romney putting a dog on a roof and cutting a kids hair decades and decades ago. But, you seem utterly upset that anyone would posit something against Hillary. Welcome to Politics 101, chump.

  20. drowningpuppies says:

    Salute!

  21. Jeffery says:

    Teach:

Congrats on being part of the problem and spreading conservative disinformation.

Your post was shown to be based on a lie – and you defend it by deflecting from own despicable behavior.

You see, you can’t control what others do, but you can control your own behavior, chump.

  22. Jeffery says:

Teach is part of the reason that much of what conservatives believe to be true is actually false.

Where ignorance is bliss (conservaworld), ’tis folly to be wise.

    Post.Truth.America.

  23. drowningpuppies says:

Once again the little guy proves that liberals are neither honest nor smart.

    Keelhaul the landlubber, Captain.

  24. david7134 says:

    dp,
Did you note in old Hillary’s delivery how ill she appeared? She looked like she was about to faint.

  25. Jl says:

J tries, but fails miserably at refuting Teach’s point. Surprise.

  26. Liam Thomas says:

You see, you can’t control what others do, but you can control your own behavior, chump.

Yeah if you followed that advice you would be a conservative.

  27. Hoagie says:

Any response to being called out as a dishonest hack by Hoagie?

Where on earth did I call Mr. Teach out as a “dishonest hack”? Point out the exact date and time stamp. Until I just typed them I’ve never used those words in my life but they seem to apply to you Jeffery. So knowing full well I did not say that and knowing full well that I don’t believe that to be true what does it gain you to say such nonsense? Are you deliberately trying to come off as a lying troll? Or are those voices in your head plucking with you again?

  28. drowningpuppies says:

She looked like she was about to faint.

She looked like she was loaded up on Xanax or Valium or somthing.

  29. Congrats on being part of the problem and spreading conservative disinformation.

Your post was shown to be based on a lie – and you defend it by deflecting from own despicable behavior.

Please highlight the lie. Of the doctors polled, regardless of your opinion, did 71% find her health concerning? Yes. Yes they did.

Considering you keep trotting out a “consensus” on AGW based on faulty polls that actually put support not at 97% but around 31%, I don’t want to hear it.

Considering that it is your side that DEMANDED record after record from people like McCain and Romney, you have no room to talk. Your side made a big deal of McCain’s past melanoma and war wounds. You demanded medical records from Palin based on her recent pregnancy. And blasted her for flying while pregnant.

Your side sent tons of reporters to look through Palin’s emails, and the Washington Post even asked for them to be crowd sourced.

It’s your side which comprises most of the 9.11 Truthers, so, do not speak about spreading disinformation. You folks are nutballs. Trutherism ran rampant throughout the Democratic Underground, Daily Kos, and other lefty sites. It popped up in comments at CNN and other news orgs from you lefties.

You guys are running theories about Trump’s mental health. Pop into the DU or other lefty sites and you will see this.

If you had the kind of pervasive cough Clinton has, would you not go to the doctor? I damned sure would. I have. In my case, it was caused by the flu which was a lot worse than I felt. My allergy medicine can also really dry me out, especially when it is windy, really hot, or cold. I can get little coughs. Some water fixes.

I also have prescription allergy pills for really bad days. It’s rare as hell that I use them, but, damn, they dry me out.

Perhaps it is a medicine Hillary is taking. I wouldn’t be surprised. If so, maybe her Dr needs to change something up. Or, she should have some lozenges. But, if my mom was coughing like that, I’d drive to NJ and take her to the doctor. You’d do the same for your mom or spouse or kid, right, Jeff? And you know damned well that if Trump was having the same issues as Hillary, you’d be screaming it from the rooftops, as would most media entities.

So, save your foolishness for others.

  30. drowningpuppies says:

    Captain on deck!

    Aye! Aye!

  31. Jeffery says:

    Teach,

Again, you inexplicably compare your own dishonesty to the scientific consensus on global warming.

You pimped an unscientific opinion survey of far-right, if not completely reactionary, physicians as if it were honest evidence. You got caught and now you deflect.

It’s easy. Stop blaming others and stop spreading disinformation. Climate scientists aren’t responsible for what you type, chump.

  32. drowningpuppies says:

    Whoa there, little guy.
    It’s his blog and you’re a guest.
If you don’t like what he types then get the fuck out.
    You won’t be missed.

  33. Jeffery says:

    dogbreath,

Certainly The Teach can take a little constructive criticism. He can’t be as thin-skinned as The Trump.

He was busted for spreading disinformation, and to be honest he’s not acquitted himself well. It’s likely due to the Trump effect – lying being normalized.

    Post.Truth.America.

  34. drowningpuppies says:

And you wonder why no one invites you over anymore.
    Constructive criticism, your grandson’s ass.

  35. Jeffery says:

    dickbreath,

The problem with modern conservatives is that they’ve lost their sense of truth. The Teach acts as if he doesn’t realize his dishonesty.

Years ago Newt predicted that “truth” would become just another commodity. Trumpkin has accelerated the project.

  36. drowningpuppies says:

You see the problem with liberals is it’s so easy to close your little eyes, close your little ears, and try to close everyone’s mouth who disagrees with you.

Again, liberals are not very smart and you know why, ltitle guy, don’t you?

  37. Hoagie says:

Mr. Teach quoted a piece from PR Newswire relating that:

Concerns about Hillary Clinton’s health are “serious—could be disqualifying for the position of President of the U.S.,” say nearly 71% of 250 physicians responding to an informal internet survey by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS).

Jeffery, you stated above that ” The Teach acts as if he doesn’t realize his dishonesty. ”
Exactly what is dishonest about reporting A FACT which I saw reported on at least a dozen news sites beside this blog? You state you have a problem with the organization AAPS because of their political philosophy. Fine, then ignore their findings but don’t willfully lie through your teeth about Mr. Teach not stating facts.

It is you Jeffery who is the liar here. Sadly, not the first time.

  38. Liam Thomas says:

    dickbreath,

Are you a xenophobe now? Do you have a problem with gays? It seems your the one being dishonest calling the Captain a liar when you lie about your professed love for Gay people….then you go and disparage them like this.

What is wrong with having Dick breath…..I should think all gays would find that offensive. You seem the typical Uber leftists who when losing a debate begins name calling, Breaks out the racist card and calls everyone dishonest and uninformed. You havent even held back on the Nazi references to Trump this year.

You really should look in the mirror when you begin slinging mud Jeffery.

  39. This is what liberals do: create a deflection point so as to avoid the points being brought up. In this case, Jeff wants to attack me for highlighting a poll he doesn’t like to avoid the discussion that Hillary appears to be in poor health. He deflects because he doesn’t want to address this, nor the hypocrisy for when Dems were Demanding McCain and others release all their medical records.

Tell us why Hillary has so many long coughing fits, Jeff. I triple dog dare you.

  40. Jeffery says:

    Teach:

One lie at a time, please.

It’s not a poll I didn’t like, it’s a poll that was dishonestly represented by you. 71% of normal doctors are not concerned about Clinton’s health.

OK, good, now that is settled.

And this has nothing to do with Senator McCain or global warming or Trump’s tax returns.

I agree with you that both candidates should release their medical records.

I don’t know why Secretary Clinton coughs anymore than I know why Trump is obese, has orange skin or what neuroses lead to his hair “style”.

The differential diagnoses for chronic, episodic coughing should include allergies, chronic bronchitis, ACE inhibitors for hypertension, pollutant/irritant sensitivity, GERD, post-nasal drainage or asthma.

    What do you think?

  41. Jeffery says:

If Secretary Clinton’s physician said she has seasonal allergies that lead to post-nasal drainage, exacerbated by giving speeches, would you believe him/her or would you figure they were lying?

Should Mr. Trump be forced to reveal if he uses Viagra or similar drugs? Antidepressants? Sleep aids? What’s his PSA? Blood pressure? Psychological eval?

  42. Jeffery says:

There’s a reason the 70 year old Trump and his supporters never, ever debate policy. He prefers personality attacks. Little Marco, Low-energy Jeb, Crooked Hillary, etc

Don Corleone Trump doesn’t understand or even care about policy.

  43. Jeffery says:

    Laim,

Namecalling here is a two way street. Every day you and yours call me idiot, communist, chump, child-molester, rapist and on and on, but the only time any conservacommenter mentions it is when I fight back. Tough shit.

Concerning dickbreath, I should of made it more clear I was talking about interspecies homosexual behavior, not intraspecies. My mistake and apologies to the little puppy and his fetishes.

  44. drowningpuppies says:

Apologize to your grandson, little guy.

  45. Hoagie says:

It’s not a poll I didn’t like, it’s a poll that was dishonestly represented by you. 71% of normal doctors are not concerned about Clinton’s health.

What makes you infer these doctors are “abnormal”? What exactly do you believe makes a doctor “normal”?

  46. Liam Thomas says:

71% of normal doctors are not concerned about Clinton’s health.

    YOUR EVIDENCE PLEASE.

Is this akin to 98 percent of ALL SCIENTISTS agree its settled….YOUR EVIDENCE PLEASE.
