Stop the ACLU wackjobs

This week is open season, mostly "what I hate about the ACLU." I’ll sum it up simply. I hate the ACLU because they are liars. From the About page at the ACLU:

The ACLU is our nation’s guardian of liberty. We work daily in courts, legislatures and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States. Our job is to conserve America’s original civic values – the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Yet that is not what they do. They pick and choose which liberties they want to protect. They seem more then willing to protect Islam, yet have been after Christianity for decades. They attack the Rights of gun owners, despite that Amendment being #2. They support the rights of pedophiles, specifically NAMBLA. They have a partisan agenda against the GOP. They choose to represent one sides Rights over anothers Rights. Case in point.

ROME, NY — The New York Civil Liberties Union and the Women’s Rights Project of the American Civil Liberties Union today hailed the settlement of a lawsuit brought by a local woman who was denied admission to an Elks Lodge here solely because of her gender. Bonnie Orendorff has agreed to drop her lawsuit on the condition that the Benevolent and Protective Order Elks Lodge No.96 admit women members on the exact basis that they admit men.

Now, before anyone gets all upset, I support women’s rights. I could list all the why’s, but, choose to believe me or not. But this is not really about women’s Rights. It is about the ACLU forcing it’s agenda down people’s throats. When men wanted to be allowed to go to a women’s only school, the ACLU refused to be involved. The ACLU puts one groups Rights above anothers. There are groups who are exclusive, and, by choice, should be allowed to remain that way. Men’s and women’s only schools, religious groups, race groups, money and brain power groups, even gyms. I cannot speak for women, but why a man would want to be part of a club without women is beyond me. I like ’em! Women, that is.

The AP is clueless

What’s wrong with this headline?

Pakistan to Send al-Qaida Suspect to U.S.

He’s not a suspect. Abu Farraj al-Libbi IS and Al-Queda member. Period. Get it right, AP. We all know that you and your leftist palls think it is made up. Buy a clue.

The Cotillion

I apologize to some of my favorite bloggers for being so late mentioning this, but the Cotillion is in full swing. What is it, you ask?

First and foremost, it is a celebration of the diverse voice that is the conservative woman. Not just one person can speak for us, and no one person should have that obligation. There are so many of us here and willing to share our thoughts and our ideas that it seems a shame that woman in the blogosphere have been outshined by the men.

Name five women in the top twenty of the Ecosystem. Can you do it?

Unfortunately, I can’t. However, I have been reading quite a few of these ladies who are part of the Cotillion for quite a while. I’ve actually had Little Miss Attila on my main blogrolling list since August, not long after I started blogging, and was probably one of the first 10 I blogrolled. I have even had the priviledge of guest blogging for her a few months ago. Though she still hasn’t blogrolled me. I still owe her a blogadd, though. Crystal Clear has been there quite some time, too. I have also added Beth, Janette, Jody, Sadie, and An American Housewife. Several others are on the American Flag League list.

I digress. The only one I could name is Michelle Malkin. And, with all due respect, she is a professional, syndicated writer who shows up in and on all sorts of print, internet, radio, and television media. She won’t link me either.

I like reading the ladies, they often offer a different perspective, plus, their blogs are just, well, great! You should too. Go check the Cotillion, and enjoy. Now.

American Flag Bidness

Temujin from West Coast Chaos, which is actually one of my long time reads and blogrolls, and also a member of the American Flag League, has recommended that the roll be in alphabetical order, rather then the most recent updated format it is in now. This is actually something I have been considering for awhile now, for a couple reasons. First, several folks never show as updated, so they were always at the bottom. I have tried with the www and without, no dice. Second, blogrolling is not doing the auto update thing from the weblogs.com site, so, if people do not ping it, they will not show as update. It was a good way to rotate folks to near the top, so that anyone reading off of it would get different folks. But, not working well.

I have changed the format to aphabetical, easy to do. What do y’all think?

WTW: Bonfire of That There Vanities

Since Teach is nowhere to be found (slacker), I figure I gots to do his job today, as well as havin some fun.

This weeks Bonfire of That There Vanities thing, #100, is up at The Ravings of John C.A. Bambenek. Y’all go there and check it out. Why anyone would submit there worst posts for ridecule is beyond me, but, bloggers are a few cans short of a Coor’s six pack.

Now, maybe I can finally take a shower, having done Teach’s stuff.

WTW: More Religion of Peace

When Teach said I could guest blog on Wednesdays, I reckoned I could be making fun of trash like Paris (both the city and the slut) and Britney (cow). But how can I, in good conscience, ignore a running theme?

A bomb from a suicide attacker tore through a mosque during Wednesday’s funeral for a Muslim cleric opposed to the Taliban, killing at least 20 people, and the local governor said an al-Qaida-linked militant was responsible.

At least 42 people were wounded.

Well, isn’t that just grand? The Muslim’s get their coverall in a bunch over a fake story about flushing the Koran, but they do not seem to have much in the way of an issue with people blowing up Mosques, especially during a funeral for a cleric. They have already burned down a Kentucky Fried Chicken (I refuse to call it KFC), killing 6. What will they do during the ensuing riot? These people need to have a good ol fashioned can of woop ass opened up on them.

Update: Sith Lord Rusty at The Jawa Report has more on the so called "religion of peace."

WTW: Deep Throat

Hey, y’all. I’m Captain Jebediah, a pirate friend of Teach’s, born and bred in the South. Make sure y’all always write South with a capital S, ya hear? Y’all can call me Jeb. I reckon’ Teach forgot to tell y’all that I’m a gonna be sittin in for him a bit on Wednesdays, cause I do believe I know a bit more about white trash then he does, specially with him sailin around with that silly felt hat and all them captured jewels. Bah.

Now, about this Deep Throat thing. How dare that cracker W.Mark Felt claim he’s Deep Throat. There’s only one Deep Throat (work friendly), and that’s Linda Lovelace. Have some respect, specially since Lovelace is dang close to a good Southern womans name. Man, what that woman could do. Damn sight more fun then some guy who rats out his boss.

Music Meme

Jess at Life…Or Something Like It tagged me with a Music Meme. Call me crazy, but I like meme’s. It is a nice way (usually, remember the Turd in a Punch Bowl meme) to find out info about people. I promised I would do this last Sunday, but, I got caught up in playing with new photo software, Microsoft Digital Image Pro, so, I apologize immensely, Jess. A golden Pirate Thong for you.

This is definately a labor of love, because, after writing the whole thing up to the point where I tag folks, I hit the close button on IE instead of Windows Media. I hate when that happens.

The last CD I bought was: this should freak y’all out, since it was Amy Grant: Greatest Hits 1986-2004. I love Amy Grant. Lovely lady, great songs, inspirational and upbeat lyrics, great rhythm, heart and soul. Oh, yeah, and one of the sexiest voices in music. So, bite me :)

Song (CD) playing right now: Realistically, I mostly listen to MP3’s, so the song would be Black Sabbath’s N.I.B. The CD/song cued up in my CRV is Robert Plant’s Fate of Nation, and the last track playing is, I believe, is Promised Land.

Five songs that I listen to a lot or that mean alot to me: Toughy. The ones I tend to load in the MP3 player the most:

  • Pink Floyd’s Dogs (really, the whole album, but Dogs is my favorite)
  • Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture (particularly the Chicago Symphony rendition)
  • Jimmy Buffet’s I Wish Lunch Could Last Forever
  • Led Zeppelin’s The Song Remains the Same
  • Jimmy Hendrix’s Voodoo Child (ripping guitar)

Of course, I could add about 10-20 more that always end up on it.

3 I will tag: Hmm, let’s work the American Flag League roll

  1. I don’t think I have ever tagged Basil.
  2. Nor Moe’s Woes (Mwahahahahahaha!)
  3. I’ve tagged oystersnout before, but going to do it again (remember, I’m Sith)
