Kerry and the Downing Street Memo

It’s amazing the fascination with that failed (and rented) presidential candidate, John Kerry. Down here in the South, he would be called white trash, and damn straight his wife would be a contender for white trash woman of the year. The guy is good for some cheap and deserved shots though. And, I’m a wonderin whether he has even read the Downing Street Memo. I mean, he didn’t bother to read the pre-Iraq War memo, did he?

And, BTW, I found a nice littel "Progressive" site, Common Dreams, which took some serious shots at Kerry. Woops.

WTW: Kerry signed and released

Hey, y’all, this is Jebediah. Teach left the keys. Now, about this Kerry critter signing his 180’s, he has apparently done that, and submitted them, and released the info (h/t to Poliblog for the story link).

Senator John F. Kerry, ending at least two years of refusal, has waived privacy restrictions and authorized the release of his full military and medical records.

The records, which the Navy Personnel Command provided to the Globe, are mostly a duplication of what Kerry released during his 2004 campaign for president, including numerous commendations from commanding officers who later criticized Kerry’s Vietnam service.

But, here’s that there rub. The records were initially reported as being released to himself. So, did the Globe get all his records? I can see where Kerry wouldn’t have wanted his grades and transcript from Yale to be released, since he wouldn’t have been considered as one of those there intellectual type folks. But, is that really a good reason to not sign the forms for full release for so long? What kind of game has Kerry been playing?

Still and all, color me skeptical. Teach might not go for those conspiracy type theories, but, I ain’t Teach. Were the documents washed before hand? And, what I really want to know is, was he honorably discharged, as Kerry himself reported, or, was the HD granted when Carter took office? And where are the after action reports? The only one who knows whether the records were released in full is Kerry.

Smokin’!

With this whole issue of medical use of marijuana being a federal offense, according to the Supreme Court, let’s take a look at some facts:

  • Clinton said he smoked mary jane, but never inhaled
  • Monica smoked something, but it wasn’t mary jane
  • Gore said he was a "rare and infrequent" smoker of mary jane
  • GWB said he never smoked mary jane, but folks have accused him of doing coke
  • Kerry has been accused of smoking mary jane, and supports the use of mary jane for medical reasons

But, that is all topped by Ted "hiccup" Kennedy, who smoked Mary Jo.

Good that we’re not going it alone

Funny how so many on the Left wanted to go it alone and have bilateral talks with North Korea, such as Kerry, when, on the other flipper, they said it was so bad we were going it alone in Iraq. This must kill them:

North Korea showed willingness in a meeting with the United States in New York Monday to return to the six-party talks on its nuclear programs, but declined to set a date for a new round of negotiations, officials in Seoul and Washington said Tuesday.

Less than a month after the U.S. delivered its position on the nuclear issue and urged the North to come back to the negotiation table, the North called for contact at the same venue through what is better known as the “New York channel.’’

Of course, this whole thing would be easier if the Left got off their soapbox, put aside their irrational Bush hatred and seething, and backed their country’s interests. That pro American support would enable the US to conduct more productive meetings, rather then embolding North Korea to stall, bluster, and bloviate.

Yo, Kerry, where you be?

Image hosting by Photobucket

Return, forgetful John Kerry, and straight redeem
In gentle numbers time it has been 114 days since thou made thy promise;
Signeth thy 180’s, and release all thy records to yon public
If time have any wrinkle graven there;
thouest should bequeeth it on thine public,
And make time’s spoils despised everywhere.
Give thy records to the masses;
So thou prevent’st our scythe and crooked knife.

That’s  called taking liberties with the Bard’s work.

Go here to an old post to read what it is all about. I’ll wait. See that, folks? It wasn’t just about signing, but about releasing all his records. He supposedly did sign them. But will he release them?

The folks at Conservative Friends (whose site was hacked, so the original post is gone) have recommended a Tuesday blogburst. I have sent mine in. Send yours in by going here for the Form 180. Then, email the link to Kerry at this address. He has tried to dodge by changing that email forms web address. Like we wouldn’t find it again. Cass at Villainous Company has an excellent insert for the email. Click on the link.

Furthermore, email Tim Russert, whose interview with Kerry prompted this whole issue. You can email him at MTP@NBC.com. Send it off to other stations, as well, if ye want.

Cao’s Blog is hosting the Blogburst. Here is the link to Cao’s 6/7/05 post. Head over, and let her know if you want to be included. Spread the word. Others blogging:

Wasn’t Kerry supposed to do something today?

Another broken promise (or would that be a flip flop?) by Kerry:

Failed presidential candidate Kerry advised that he will begin the presentation of his case for President Bush’s impeachment to Congress, on Monday.

Kerry said of the memo: "When I go back [to Washington] on Monday, I am going to raise the issue. I think it’s a stunning, unbelievably simple and understandable statement of the truth and a profoundly important document that raises stunning issues here at home. And it’s amazing to me the way it escaped major media discussion. It’s not being missed on the Internet, I can tell you that."

Maybe he had problems finding the Congressional building. Not like he has alot of familiarity with it’s location.

And, yes, the Senate did convene today, though, I guess that 3:58 of "work" must have turkered the Congress Critters out.

High Court say no to the munchies

WASHINGTON – People who smoke marijuana because their doctors recommend it to ease pain can be prosecuted for violating federal drug laws, the Supreme Court ruled Monday, overriding medical marijuana statutes in 10 states.

Geez, ya know, like, what a total bummer, that’s so, ya know, not gnarly. I mean, I’ve heard that pot does bad things, like cause problems with short term memory, and destroys your wallet from the munchies, but, like, it can do good things for those with, like medical problems.

Really, dude this should be a problem for the Dodgers aren’t doing so well. They really, like need to pick it up. What was I talking about? Oh, yeah, really, like, this should be one of those States Rights things, as long as, well, it doesn’t cross State lines, you know, like ordering a pizza from another State. Pizza. Man, with pepperoni and spicy sausage, some sliced tomato’s, but, like, no shrooms, cause they’re slimy, and I ain’t into that kinda thing.

Where was I? Like, let the States handle it, cause that’s what the Bill of Pizza, I mean Rights, thing, says, doesn’t it? Something like the 10th Amendment? Yup.

But, ya know, the States really need to, like, tighten up their laws and enforcement for medical mary jane watson was really hot in Spiderman the movie, but like, hotter in the cartoons, cause there are so many problems with complete BS prescriptions being written and filled. People like, really got to need it, not just like, totally, want it, cause those people who are just doing it for fun, are like, violating the law, and, as Steve Martin said, you could kinda get a ticket for that in California.

Just another case of a judiciary gone wild man, those girls are crazy.
