John? It’s is a very simple thing

Image hosting by Photobucket

Go here to an old post to read what it is all about. I’ll wait. See that, folks? It wasn’t just about signing, but about releasing all his records. He did sign them. But he hasn’t released all his records to the public.

Slight update at the top. Powerline has visual copies of the 180’s that Kerry reportedly signed.

This will be strange

Here’s the thing. I was watching Fox and Friends this am, and they had a female Democratic Congress Critter on. Unfortunately, I forgot her name (she is a Dem, after all), and I do not have a transcript yet, but hopefully Fox News will be kind enough to post it on their site or email it to me, as I asked them.

Well, Steve Doocy asked her to comment on asshat Durbin, and she said (to paraphrase):

"I think that we need to stop focusing on what Durbin said, and focus on fixing the administrative problems occurring at Guantanamo."

So, once again, we have another Demorat blowing off Durbin’s comments, and blaming the administration. For those that caught her on Fox this am, you will agree that her comment was a little to rehearsed. You know she had to have been expecting the question. But "administrative problems" is certainly an attempted slap at the Bush admin, and an attempt to deflect away from Durbin’s traitorous, yes, traitorous, comments.

More Pseudo-Scientific BS

Can you believe this?

The clamps are coming down on released sex offenders like never before. But some experts wonder sex offenders are being pushed so far to the fringes that they could actually become more dangerous to society.

Some researchers and treatment providers say that sex offenders are finding it harder to maintain homes and jobs and establish stable lives for themselves.

"I would rather have someone who has committed a sex offense be going to work every day, come home tired, have a sense of well-being that comes from having a regular paycheck and a safe home, as opposed to having a sex offender who has a lot of free time on his hands," said Richard Hamill, president of the New York State Alliance of Sex Offender Service Providers. "You tell me: Who is at a greater risk of reoffending?"

Or, we could just cut their nuts off, to start with. Yup, you read that right. And I’m not kidding in the slightest.

Daily Kos: what goes on at moonbat stays at moonbat

On the heels of Marcos Zunigas not only taking Durbin’s side, but going beyond moonbat on it, Kos writer Armando does him one better. First, we get a snippet of what starts him on his rant (but, then aren’t most posts there rants?)

"By voting for or against the censure, the rest of the members of the U.S. Senate can go on record and make clear how they judge Durbin’s characterization of American soldiers." (Newt) Gingrich continued, "It will also send a clear message to terrorists who will use the words of a Senate leader against us that the Senate stands in support of America and our military and against those who seek to destroy the free people of the United States. (emphasis his)

then, we get beyond moonbat from Armando:

A clear message of whaaaaat? Did he just say what I think he said? Called Durbin a traitor?!??

F you you draft-dodging, wife abandoning, philandering, unethical, lying SOB.

I demand that all decent Republicans repudiate the false ugly indefensible smear by Gingrich.

Oh, he demands now? Apparently Armando can either not read, or he believes in what Durbin stated. Let’s revisit that for a moment.

"If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime — Pol Pot or others — that had no concern for human beings," Durbin said Tuesday.

Sure looks like he said that our soldiers at G’itmo were being called Nazi’s, etc. Pretty clear to me, Armando. How about you? Where’s your outrage? Apparently, he has issues with seeing what real torture looks like, in reference to a Little Green Footballs article. But he does tell us the true meaning of today’s Left:

Neil Cavuto of Faux say that those of us who oppose torture in all cases, have forgotten who the enemy is, caring more about them than our own. No Neil, we are fighting for the soul of our country. You and your ilk would turn us into terrorists – engaging in systematic torture. That is not our country. We are not terrorists. You Neil Cavuto, want to make our country terrorists. We fight against you and your ilk.

And that is all you do. Fight against other Americans, rather then helping to defeat our enemy’s. Your constant seething hatred of Bush talk has turned into slam everything American, no matter what danger in puts America and her citizens in.

Going to steal one from Beth

Update: DC says it well: Indeed. Where are the so-called "moderate" Democrats? Where is Sen. Ben Nelson? Where is Mark Pryor? Where are the Democrat bloggers who love their country more than party? Does every Democrat agree that silence is the appropriate response? Every Democrat? Is there not one who will be their John McCain and break ranks to stand against the party leadership?

Update 2: Dr. Shackleford is taking large bites out of Kos, chewing them up, then spitting them out.

Get Conyers some tinker toys

How bad is it when the ultra liberal Washington Post does this to a Democrat? (via Right Wing News)

In the Capitol basement yesterday, long-suffering House Democrats took a trip to the land of make-believe.

They pretended a small conference room was the Judiciary Committee hearing room, draping white linens over folding tables to make them look like witness tables and bringing in cardboard name tags and extra flags to make the whole thing look official.

Rep. John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.) banged a large wooden gavel and got the other lawmakers to call him "Mr. Chairman." He liked that so much that he started calling himself "the chairman" and spouted other chairmanly phrases, such as "unanimous consent" and "without objection so ordered." The dress-up game looked realistic enough on C-SPAN, so two dozen more Democrats came downstairs to play along.

The session was a mock impeachment inquiry over the Iraq war. As luck would have it, all four of the witnesses agreed that President Bush lied to the nation and was guilty of high crimes — and that a British memo on "fixed" intelligence that surfaced last month was the smoking gun equivalent to the Watergate tapes. Conyers was having so much fun that he ignored aides’ entreaties to end the session.

I can picture all the moonbats who believe in the DSM drivel gathered together in their basements, putting on their own mock trials. The air full of seething. All their emails from MoveOn and the DU printed out. Getting their talking points straight. Perhaps they should check a thesaurus for a word to replace "mislead." It would be truly laughable if they weren’t damaging the cause of the United States in defeating terrorism.

Oh, and those Downing Street Memo’s? Looks like the AP messed up a bit. (thanks for the tip, Barkcloth)

The eight memos — all labeled "secret" or "confidential" — were first obtained by British reporter Michael Smith, who has written about them in The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Times.

Smith told AP he protected the identity of the source he had obtained the documents from by typing copies of them on plain paper and destroying the originals. (emphasis mine)

So they aren’t the originals? You mean the originals aren’t available? I wonder if Dan Rather was involved.

Prayers for Sean at ETIKIW

Though I do not know him whatsoever beyond his writing, I could probably put Sean at Everthing I Know Is Wrong as one of the people who made me think of doing my own little blog. One of my first posts was based on one of his.

About an hour or so ago, I popped in, and started wondering if he had stopped, since his last post was May 26th. Little did I know, when I popped in to the Captain’s Quarters, I would find this:

Sean had a congenital heart defect that he had tolerated for his entire life, but recently it became necessary for him to have surgery to correct the problem. Sean’s surgery went well and he seemed to be recovering quickly, but two days ago he had a serious setback. He’s back in the hospital, and while it looks like the doctors have done a good job in catching the issue before it did its worst, he has some problems to overcome.

Stop by Captain Ed’s site and leave a comment for Sean, or send him an email, along with your prayers and best wishes. I have.

I Guess Durbin Has Forgotten

Hey, Dick. All those folks at G’timo? Yeah, the were caught in Afghanistan, and were part of the terrorist organization that did this:

Image hosting by Photobucket

Have you forgotten how it felt that day
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away?
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside
Going through a living hell
And you say we shouldn’t worry ’bout Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?
  (Darryl Worley)

And, everyone really needs to read this post by one of the best blogsphere writers around, Cassandra of Villainous Company.
