Newark’s Mayor Arrested at Protest Outside ICE Detention Center
Federal officials arrested Ras J. Baraka, the mayor of Newark, on Friday after a confrontation that also involved three members of Congress at a new immigration detention facility that is expected to play a central role in President Trump’s mass deportation effort.
Mr. Baraka, a Democrat who is running for governor, was taken to a separate federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Newark, where he was still being held hours after the arrest. A large crowd of supporters was gathered outside waiting for information about when he would be released.
A few Dem wacko congresscritters were allowed in to participate with their stunt of supporting illegals. Bad ones. More on that in a minute
Mr. Baraka was allowed past the front gate, but was not allowed to accompany the members of Congress inside, according to a video taken by Viri Martinez, an immigration activist who witnessed the arrest.
“Congressmen are different, congresswomen are different,” a Homeland Security Investigations agent told the mayor, the video shows. The agent added: “That is the last warning. You will be placed under arrest.”
If they do not prosecute him then there is a problem with the justice system. But, you can bet some leftist prosecutor or judge will let him off.

DHS has stated that Delaney Hall in New Jersey is full of alleged killers, MS-13 gang members and child rapists. And other criminals. This is who Democrats are trying to protect.

Well……that is the gist of the story. Thats why these congress critters are willing to incite people to riot. Even caught beating a federal COP. A congresswoman caught on camera beating a federal cop.
They don’t fear anything because they know they will be exxonerated by a George Soros bought and paid for legal system.
Somehow, some way, our good friends on the left believe that they have the right to violate the law if they are part of a protest. Ras Baraka apparently thought that. The question is now, will he actually be prosecuted for this? My guess is that no, he won’t.

Is Mr Dana serious? Mayor Baraka was not violent. Recall Jan 6 2021.
Mr Dana and I are of a similar age and subject to memory lapses, but Jan 6, 2021 was not THAT long ago. Mr Dana refers to that violent afternoon as a fraternity party almost getting out of hand and a kerfuffle.
Mr Dana has made clear that he fully supports the fascist actions of Mr Forty-$even and his henchwomen and henchmen.
Actually, Mr Dana, brave men and women protesters accept the consequences of their action. Cowardly rioters as seen on Jan 6 refused to accept responsibility counting on the power of their cult leader to set them free!

Throw the book at the Mayor!! Anyone breaking down doors, smashing windows and physically attacking government facilities* and officials need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law!!! We heard he was even shouting, “Hang Kristi Noem!” He should get his full 30 days and pay the $500 fine!!
Although Mayor Ras Baraka was permitted in the front door by the agents, he was arrested when DHS claimed he was told to leave but didn’t! That’s trespassing!!
Athough Mr Teach didn’t mention it, Mayor Baraka was released from custody after a few hours detention. Let’s hope he learned his place!
Interim NJ District Attorney Alina Hubba, former Trump personal attorney, said, “He has willingly chosen to disregard the law. That will not stand in this state. He has been taken into custody. NO ONE** IS ABOVE THE LAW.”
Although Mr Teach couldn’t get Mayor Baraka’s side of the story, here’s what he said:
“Clearly, that is not the context of what happened. I was there for over an hour in that space, and nobody ever told me to move … not a single person, not an officer from ICE, not any of the security guards, nobody told me to leave that place.”
“Somebody from Homeland Security came in the end and began to escalate the situation, and we wind up being where we are today, and that’s, frankly, the extent of it,” Baraka added.
“I was there as the mayor of the city exercising my right and duty as an elected official, supporting our Congress people, preparing for a press conference,” Baraka continued. “I did not enter that place unlawfully; I did not break any laws, so all of that is incorrect. So, she was not there, so she should get some better information.”
