The Supreme Court on Monday (29 June) declined a request by President Trump to review a $5 million civil judgment against him after a jury found in 2023 that he sexually abused the writer E. Jean Carroll.
In December 2024, a three-judge appeals court panel upheld the jury’s verdict, finding that Mr. Trump failed to show that the evidence had harmed his rights to a fair trial.
Yikes. Donny’s own Supreme Court believes he sexually assaulted E Jean Carroll. Most sexual abusers do not the means to take their case to SCOTUS!

WASHINGTON — Rejecting a Republican National Committee challenge, the Supreme Court ruled Monday that elections officials may count mail-in ballots that arrive after Election Day if they were postmarked beforehand.
The ruling, authored by Justice Amy Coney Barrett, is a setback for President Donald Trump, who has frequently criticized mail-in voting, claiming without offering evidence that it is rife with fraud.
It was a 5-4 decision with Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Barrett joining the libs.

The Supreme Court ruled Monday that President Donald Trump does not have the authority to fire Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook from the central bank for now. (They kinda kicked the can down the road…)
Instead, it rejected Trump’s bid to stay a lower federal court ruling that had prevented her from being terminated as her lawsuit challenging her dismissal proceeds.
Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the opinion for the majority, which included his fellow conservative justice Brett Kavanaugh, as well as the court’s three liberal members, Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson. The four other conservative justices dissented.
Despite Trump’s claim that he wanted to remove Cook because of the mortgage fraud allegation, Cook and others believed he was motivated by her refusal to vote for interest rate cuts that the president demanded from the Fed in the first nine months of his second term in the White House.

The justices voted 6-3 to uphold President Donald Trump’s decision to fire Rebecca Slaughter, a Democratic commissioner on the Federal Trade Commission who was removed from her position before her term ended.

This now allows a President to have total control of so-called “independent” government agencies (except The Fed!) such as the FTC, SEC, FDIC, CFTC, NRC, NLRB, FCC,
Historically, “independent” federal agencies are organizations created by Congress to operate outside of the direct control of the President and executive cabinet departments. They are established to handle complex, technical issues and sensitive regulatory functions without direct political interference. These agencies are not under Cabinet level control.
They WERE “independent” to lessen the whipsaw effect of each new administration ousting, without cause, and appointing their own loyalists. That is over. N.B. – trump is unlikely to be president forever.
BTW, Donny illegally (but now it’s legal!) fired the previous Postmaster General and inserted David Steiner.
Postmaster General David Steiner confirms the U.S. Postal Service will refuse to deliver mail-in ballots unless states share voter names, addresses, and unique barcode identifiers at least 60 days before federal elections.
From 2004 to 2016, Steiner was President and CEO for Waste Management, America’s largest trash collection company!! He served on the corporate boards of FEDEX, Vulcan Materials and AMP Robotics.
Donny favored Steiner for Postmaster General but demanded that Steiner “make the uniforms as hot as the economy.”
