Who was Joshua Jahn, shooter in deadly Dallas ICE facility attack?
Sources familiar with the investigation into the Dallas immigration facility shooting identified Wednesday’s alleged attacker as Joshua Jahn, 29.
The gunman killed two detainees and injured another after opening fire on a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility from a nearby building before taking his own life, police say. The detainee who survived was hospitalized in critical condition.
Jahn fired “indiscriminately” at the ICE building, as well as at a van in the sally port where the victims were shot, the Department of Homeland Security said. The three detainees were in an unmarked transport van when they were shot, before Jahn took his own life around 7 a.m., according to the sources. He was found dead with a rifle on a nearby rooftop, authorities said.
A photo posted on X by FBI Director Kash Patel showed what appeared to be rifle-caliber ammunition affixed to a clip. The rounds were engraved with an “anti-ICE” message.
Vice President JD Vance called for an end to “obsessive attacks” on law enforcement, particularly ICE.
“These horrendous killings must serve as a wake-up call to the far left that their rhetoric about ICE has consequences,” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem wrote on X, while chiding elected officials who demonize immigration authorities.
There are already leftards saying this was a false flag. And others calling for gun control, even though the rifle would not have been an assault rifle, not with an actual clip of rounds.
Joshua Jahn was a 29 yr old, white Texan male, a registered independent, anti-governmemt type who last voted in 2024. Oh yes, and he had a rifle. News reported an AR-15 type rifle although the pictures looked more like a higher caliber hunting rifle.
Most shooting of police officers in the US come from reactioary rightists. That said, the nu right, now feeling in charge, appreciate federal police/soldiers!

Kashyap Patel posted a picture of an ammo clip where one cartridge appeared to have “anti ICE” written on it. That’s it. I believe that the government approach of attacking immigrants is wrong headed and destined to result in even more tragedies.
At least 14 detainees have died in ICE custody in the U.S. this year. No ICE agents have died in 2025. We have no way of knowing if deportees to black site prisons like El Salvador have died. Hundreds of cases of abuse of detainees by ICE agents have been reported (and are certainly underreported). But the victims are just those subhuman “illegals”, right.
Today, reactionary rightists love ICE.

Jahn’s brother claimed Joshua was not a shooter and was not political. FBI sharpshooter did the shooting from the roof, shot poor Jahn in the head and planted the rifle and ammo.
